Great. I call the midwife urgent care line due to possible mastitis, she tells me to schedule an appointment. Good. I call the appointment line - Oh, they've moved. Here's the new number. Okay. I call the new number.
I need to stop answering people's questions about how LO is sleeping at night. Everytime I answer that she's doing well, that same night she takes forever to sleep!
THIS! Every time I comment on how well E is sleeping, she pays me back in the worst way. I will never comment again.
My little sister left her acne face wash on the kitchen. DS1 thought it was hand sanitizer and put it on his hands, face and hair. He is soaked in it! So now I get to go give him a bath.
Whole Foods iced coffee for the win!! They sold me 16oz for $2.50, so I mixed it up with milk and sugar and the other half is waiting for me in the fridge this afternoon. Who cares if it is rainy and 50 degrees here--I declare spring is here!
Hubster is in Columbus for the whole day so I'm on my own from 6 am to midnight. Merri nursed from 2-6 am after going to bed at 12:45. It's gonna be a loooooooong day.
Cooooooooooool. Instead of getting "You're a good wife/let me know if I can help you/etc." supportive advice from my mother in regards to hubster's anxiety I'm getting, "We'll buy you a ticket home so you and Merriwether can live with us and get things going on a divorce. Anxiety is too much for you to handle."
Awesome.
Edited: I wish like hell I was making this shit up.
First night sleeping sitting up in the nursery I slept about 30 min last night. LO has the worst gas he was up grunting and fussing all night. I'm so tired

My mother does the same thing. Anytime I vent to her about DH she responds, "well pack your things and come home." DH comes from a very old school mentality. As in the wife stays home with the kids and cooks and cleans and does whatever he says and I tell him to STFU. He's getting better but it's infuriating when he acts that way and my mom just doesn't realize that I need to talk it out and I don't need her throwing the word divorce in my face! We've been married just under 2 years, like give me a break! We're allowed to disagree and have issues.
@BiggerinRealLife so I showered with Penny this morning. She freaking loved it. Then I wrapped her in her hooded towel and put her in her bouncer in the bathroom so I could wash my hair. she was very content. I got out and she was just looking a little too comfortable.... Yep, towel full of poop. Bahaha I love this little poop machine.
@PoppySeedWindsor that blows! I remember when my bf and I first moved in together 2 years ago my mother would always say something stupid like "you know if he ever hits you you can come to me." I simply stopped calling and finally when she asked why I told her and she stopped saying it. She said she didn't realize how often she said it. Surprisingly enough they're pretty close now

Ouch, that's rough. hope you can get a nap today.
He is a month old today.. I think he just wanted me to re live not sleeping on his birth night either Romantic

Football season starts in a few weeks and it gives me huge anxiety. I'm shy and the moms are so cliquey, so I never really talk to anyone. Which may be for the best because most people think I'm strange (you've probably noticed) and I'm definitely an acquired taste. Or they just think I'm a bitch because I keep to myself. I just have no idea what other women talk to each other about! Anyone else feel really self conscious about things like this? I feel like I'm in high school, and I don't fit in anywhere. I never have, I just really don't know how.
@kendracoleslaw...in looks or in behavior? I have a friend here in NKY who has a kitty like our Big Cat...he's just 2 years younger. It's crazy to see how much they look alike! It's like her cat is our cat if he had invented a time machine (but let's face it, he's a simple cat with a tiny cat brain and could never pull anything like that off).
Went to a Breastfeeding support group today. Not very supportive for me. There were several moms with LO younger than dd who were sleeping way longer. I know it's normal but it still doesn't help me when I'm so tired. I just want a stretch longer than 3 hrs too!
Also @PoppySeedWindsor my mother does that too. DH and I have been together for almost 10 years now and every time I complain about his workaholic tendencies she tells me to pack up and come home. Not helpful...
@ColleenSwerb where is that romper from??! So my style, girly but not pink and ruffly.
It's Carter's, I got it at BRU. It came with a dress that's big bold red ad white stripes and a little anchor emblem. I REALLY want to find it in 3m size (this is newborn) so she can wear them all summer.

Was it not a supportive group or was the fact some little ones sleep longer than yours disheartening?
I've gone to a couple meetings and found I clicked better with people there the first week than the second week. Maybe give it another try and you might meet someone you click with who is going through the same thing?
LO refuses to nap, and he's exhausted and just screams. I want to cry.
This was me yesterday. I was miserable! He would be on cusp of falling asleep and his eyes would pop wide open. Around 9/10pm he finally gave in during a nursing session and passed out.
DS peed all over during his diaper change. I retaliated with a sink bath. He responded by screaming. I answered by putting him in his hot pink cloth diaper (told him he was being punished). He got the last word by pooping as soon as I got it on. Well played, little one. Well played.

I must have been something yesterday that he did not like because he slept terrible and he's so grumpy today
Any suggestions?
Have you tried giving him something for gas? Gripe water usually works when my little guy is gassy from something ive eaten. You can also use Mylicon drops too, paci seems to help, warm bath and lots of snuggles.
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
@nicole mackenzie it was totally that other people's kids are sleeping better. We had a rough night last night and I'm dealing with a plugged duct. I wanna give up so bad but I won't on a bad day so I'm sticking it out. They all seemed so happy to be Breastfeeding. I think I was looking for someone who was as upset about it as I am.
@KendraColeslaw is there a baby store who is pro baby wearing near you? That's where I was able to find help with my k'tan. I hope you are able to figure it out, I love mine and so does dd.

ETA: all I could do was laugh hysterically as she pooped and pooped and popped. What's wrong with me?! Lol
