  • @shanicenicolle‌

We would get asked if we had kids all the time and I would just respond with "not yet" and that would shut them up :) guess I should feel lucky no one tried to follow up very often.
  • Loading the player...
  • @knittylady‌ we have the same dresser for DS in blue. And I ended up getting it and loading it into my car on my own when I was about 6-7 months pregnant. We did have to exchange to top because holes weren't lined up right, but it's been great otherwise.
  • SO is taking the time to dust his DVD collection... even though the dog still hasn't had a bath since our trip to the dog park on Saturday (and therefore still smells like wet dirt).

This is what a lot of deep breaths and counting to 10 are good for, right?

    Men.

Just felt max's hand (or very possibly a foot) slide across my belly and OMG I'm just so in love with this little nugget. I just want to hold my baby already and see his sweet little face!

Ace does this too! I'm not sure if it's an elbow or foot or what, but he'll run it all the way from on side of my stomach to the other.. it really caught me off guard the first time but now I love it! Way better than his ninja kicks ;-)
    ---------------------------

:o your baby is Ace too? Max's middle name is Ace! :D obviously, this is just a sign that we have good taste and are meant to be labor buddies.

@knittylady‌ We went with the same crib but decided to go with a different dresser for some pops of color. We also liked the idea that they can be used later in a larger storage system when they start using the closet for clothes. Picture shows white but we are getting it in blue and green alternating draws :)
We did the same crib, and the same dresser you have here! We also went with the matching changing table. IKEA also sells some nice fabric boxes that we've spread around the room as sort of catch-alls and toy boxes someday. We did a Winnie the Pooh theme :)

  • Why is it that my boneheaded husband thinks it is okay to call me at work to talk about finances? And then the minute I disagree with him, he gets all huffy and defensive and forces an argument... when all I really want is him to shut the fuck up and not call me at work about this stuff. If the roles were reversed he would have been furious.

I hate it sometimes, but situations like this make me really glad my husband have no fricken idea what is going on with our finance.

  • I had my first dream about this baby last night. I gave birth but DH wasn't there. The labor went quickly (that wasn't even really part of the dream). LO was a girl (we're team green, so we'll see) and I couldn't get a hold of DH until an hour after she was born. Apparently he was in a work meeting. So weird, but also comforting for some reason this morning when I woke up knowing I had dreamed about the LO.
  • I suppose now would be a poor time to adopt a new dog, huh?

If it helps, Gemmas appointment I just got home from, the annual plus vaccines plus flea and heart worm meds for a year for a perfectly healthy dog, cost $466. Ugh.

DH thinks that right after the baby is born is a good time to adopt a kitten since I'll be home on maternity leave and I can make sure the kitten gets acclimated to the house and to the dog. Because taking care of a newborn on limited sleep probably won't need all of my attention  8-|

  • Here are some of what we are thinking now for decor. I am loving orange, gray, aqua, and some brown accents. I'm in love with the antler/bark name print. I'm not loving chevrons, but might be okay with it if it ends up just being in the quilt. Still haven't decided whether or not to purchase one from Etsy.
I like these ideas, I love deer.  It reminds me some of how we did my son's room in some of this collection...

I really like the orange in your pics.
  • Received this in the mail from a friend today! It comes with a ring inside and smells like baby powder. What a neat gift! Just thought I'd share :)
These are really a great gift, I bought 10 of them last Christmas and gave them out and everyone really enjoys discovering the ring you find.  They smell good too.

Yes they're paper! I found some prints on etsy that I liked, bought a scrapbook paper set so all the colors would coordinate, and made templates for them all freehand and tweaking those before I cut out of the scrapbook paper! @beff12 I did! The wood is sold pre-cut and I got a burning tool for $10 and kind of just messed around until I figured it out.
  • He won't help?!? That's just strange :p
  • My belly is now too hard and heavy enough it prevents me from shaving my bikini area... DH won't help and I'm terrified of waxing (fear of the unknown). ...I'm now shaving by brail.
i'm the same... i havent even asked dh cause im sure he'd be like.. uhmmm no lol

  • I'm sick of the creepy male customers at work who think pregnant women are sexy. Please stop flirting with me when I'm OBVIOUSLY almost 7 months pregnant. You're disgusting!

    Also I have a pounding headache :(
  • chrinikki1: I can't either but I'm also having a similar problem with painting my toenails. DH will not come near my "Johnny Appleseed feet". Well, DH, maybe they'd look prettier if I could, you know, touch them... ever.

It's to the point where I'm even too embarassed to get a pedicure. I kind of want to make one of my BFF's do it for me.

My one cat died in Nov (same weekend I got my BFP!) and DH and I decided now is not the time to even discuss getting another cat. My other cat is up all night meowing and jumping on our bed wanting us to play with and pet him. He misses his buddy. The two of them used to run around and play with each other at night. I feel so bad for him and Dh is just really annoyed with being woken up, so now we're actually thinking about another cat. Not a kitten though, I'm not up for that. We'll see. I guess with a newborn baby my cat will have two people to hang out with him in the middle of the night.

  • My glucose test is at 3 this afternoon. Shortly after that, I will be making my rocky road microwave dessert for myself and my pregnant bestie to share before I find out the results. This is beginning to remind me of when I had my scope to be diagnosed with Celiac... I made my dad take me to Panera right after.
