We would get asked if we had kids all the time and I would just respond with "not yet" and that would shut them up guess I should feel lucky no one tried to follow up very often.
@knittylady we have the same dresser for DS in blue. And I ended up getting it and loading it into my car on my own when I was about 6-7 months pregnant. We did have to exchange to top because holes weren't lined up right, but it's been great otherwise.
We got the info in the mail from the pediatrician we are seriously considering, and there was a sheet on why vaccination is so important. I was reading through it and there was one part I just had to read to DH - Benjamin Franklin was originally opposed to vaccines and chose not to innoculate his children until he lost his favorite child, Franky, to smallpox.
The kids name was Franky Franklin??? This is what I took from that. Hahaha
Just felt max's hand (or very possibly a foot) slide across my belly and OMG I'm just so in love with this little nugget. I just want to hold my baby already and see his sweet little face!
SO is taking the time to dust his DVD collection... even though the dog still hasn't had a bath since our trip to the dog park on Saturday (and therefore still smells like wet dirt).
This is what a lot of deep breaths and counting to 10 are good for, right?
I think it is really cute when I feel LO kicking/moving around inside of me. But when I actually SEE my stomach moving around it freaks me out and causes me all kinds of anxiety. I thought I would think it was cute... but instead I keep anticipating an alien to come tearing out of my abdomen. Thanks Hollywood! ;-)

Ace does this too! I'm not sure if it's an elbow or foot or what, but he'll run it all the way from on side of my stomach to the other.. it really caught me off guard the first time but now I love it! Way better than his ninja kicks ;-) ---------------------------
your baby is Ace too? Max's middle name is Ace! obviously, this is just a sign that we have good taste and are meant to be labor buddies.
@knittylady
We went with the same crib but decided to go with a different dresser for some pops of color. We also liked the idea that they can be used later in a larger storage system when they start using the closet for clothes.
Picture shows white but we are getting it in blue and green alternating draws
We did the same crib, and the same dresser you have here! We also went with the matching changing table. IKEA also sells some nice fabric boxes that we've spread around the room as sort of catch-alls and toy boxes someday. We did a Winnie the Pooh theme
Why is it that my boneheaded husband thinks it is okay to call me at work to talk about finances? And then the minute I disagree with him, he gets all huffy and defensive and forces an argument... when all I really want is him to shut the fuck up and not call me at work about this stuff. If the roles were reversed he would have been furious.

I hate it sometimes, but situations like this make me really glad my husband have no fricken idea what is going on with our finance.
I had my first dream about this baby last night. I gave birth but DH wasn't there. The labor went quickly (that wasn't even really part of the dream). LO was a girl (we're team green, so we'll see) and I couldn't get a hold of DH until an hour after she was born. Apparently he was in a work meeting. So weird, but also comforting for some reason this morning when I woke up knowing I had dreamed about the LO.
I suppose now would be a poor time to adopt a new dog, huh?
If it helps, Gemmas appointment I just got home from, the annual plus vaccines plus flea and heart worm meds for a year for a perfectly healthy dog, cost $466. Ugh.

DH thinks that right after the baby is born is a good time to adopt a kitten since I'll be home on maternity leave and I can make sure the kitten gets acclimated to the house and to the dog. Because taking care of a newborn on limited sleep probably won't need all of my attention 8-|

I would recommend against getting a new dog this close. Both of our dogs are rescues and one has shown aggression toward babies (my theory is he thinks they are dogs and he hates other dogs). We are getting a trainer to see if we can work out his issues, but may have to send him to stay with a family member until the baby is the size he likes... He seems totally fine with babies that can sit up and drop food ;-).
I would wait until things are settled with the baby and then you could see how a particular dog reacts to your baby before committing to one :-)
On a related note, we have a serious lap shortage here. I need DH to get home!
Here are some of what we are thinking now for decor. I am loving orange, gray, aqua, and some brown accents. I'm in love with the antler/bark name print. I'm not loving chevrons, but might be okay with it if it ends up just being in the quilt. Still haven't decided whether or not to purchase one from Etsy.
I like these ideas, I love deer. It reminds me some of how we did my son's room in some of this collection...
Received this in the mail from a friend today! It comes with a ring inside and smells like baby powder. What a neat gift! Just thought I'd share
These are really a great gift, I bought 10 of them last Christmas and gave them out and everyone really enjoys discovering the ring you find. They smell good too.
I'm loving all the nursery talk! I finally got to sit and craft some the past couple days. I want to get some more wood and burn more quotes and I still need a canvas for one of the critters but I'm pretty happy with how it's all turning out!
i just watched a video of a home water birth.. and i don't know how to feel lol. it didn't look that bad and i totes cried at the end.. but i dont think i could ever do that.. props to her

ETA well i should say how did you make those!? is it paper? did you cut it by hand or use a cricut or something?

Yes they're paper! I found some prints on etsy that I liked, bought a scrapbook paper set so all the colors would coordinate, and made templates for them all freehand and tweaking those before I cut out of the scrapbook paper!
@beff12 I did! The wood is sold pre-cut and I got a burning tool for $10 and kind of just messed around until I figured it out.
My belly is now too hard and heavy enough it prevents me from shaving my bikini area... DH won't help and I'm terrified of waxing (fear of the unknown). ...I'm now shaving by brail.

i'm the same... i havent even asked dh cause im sure he'd be like.. uhmmm no lol
I'm sick of the creepy male customers at work who think pregnant women are sexy. Please stop flirting with me when I'm OBVIOUSLY almost 7 months pregnant. You're disgusting!
chrinikki1: I can't either but I'm also having a similar problem with painting my toenails. DH will not come near my "Johnny Appleseed feet". Well, DH, maybe they'd look prettier if I could, you know, touch them... ever.
It's to the point where I'm even too embarassed to get a pedicure. I kind of want to make one of my BFF's do it for me.

My one cat died in Nov (same weekend I got my BFP!) and DH and I decided now is not the time to even discuss getting another cat. My other cat is up all night meowing and jumping on our bed wanting us to play with and pet him. He misses his buddy. The two of them used to run around and play with each other at night. I feel so bad for him and Dh is just really annoyed with being woken up, so now we're actually thinking about another cat. Not a kitten though, I'm not up for that. We'll see. I guess with a newborn baby my cat will have two people to hang out with him in the middle of the night.
My glucose test is at 3 this afternoon. Shortly after that, I will be making my rocky road microwave dessert for myself and my pregnant bestie to share before I find out the results. This is beginning to remind me of when I had my scope to be diagnosed with Celiac... I made my dad take me to Panera right after.
For someone who is against second+ baby showers ----- I'm kind of sad. I want to have a party. Womp womp. Truthfully I don't even want gifts because I have what I need or will buy it myself, but I want an excuse to have a get together and be all "LOOK AT MY ADORABLE BUMP PEOPLE".
I am having a really hard time envisioning our second child looking anything except like my DS1. All I keep seeing is a smaller sized clone of Tanner coming out.

Men.

Close enough! Lol
I totally ate two bags of my student's chip stash...
Okay so it's a box of 50 from Costco and he gets them as a reward in class.
My justification is I can just replace them, it's not like he's not going to get them later.. I just wanted them now..
They were delicious too! I feel no shame....

Also I have a pounding headache
I plan to get one a pedicure in a new place somewhere not near where I live so I can not care what they think
