So we got a missionary (or whatever you call the religious ppl that come to your door) on Sunday. I don't like to shoo them away because they came all the way out, it was toasty outside and they genuinely are interested in sharing what they believe. So, I welcomed her in to my home, offered her some water and fruit and sat down to hear what she had to say. They love to question other beliefs and I'm always ready for a good debate. So, it thought it would be ok. She asks if my husband was home and I explained the whole I don't have a husband thing to her. DW comes in to the room with DS and she takes one look at the situation and dashes out while blessing my house.
-_- ya try to be nice to someone....gosh.
Wow. I'm sorry she was such a rude, poopy head :-(
LittleDude has been in a weird position the last couple of days so I haven't felt him as often. However, this morning I wake up to jiggles and wiggles. I almost feel like he shoves a fist in my abdomen and then spreads his little bony fingers! I wonder if I'll be able to start seeing actual differentiation in his limbs :-D
Saturday morning it felt like LO was doing karate in there. I got the hint it was time to get out of bed lol

@LiteraChick and @MonkeyJD it's alllll good ladies. I don't feel bad because I gave her tap water lol AKA schuylkill river stew.
I just realized that I am under 100 days on my ticker. That's all.
I just had an oh-shit-only-96-days-left moment.
My feeling is more of, oh shit, I am going to be uncomfortable for another 99 days. I think we are pretty much as ready as you can be for twins. My discomfort is not going to improve.
zomg....
ZOMG
I just sneezed. I had my hand on my belly button, just chilling.... And I sneezed.
My belly button popped up and poked out through the effort of the sneeze- and then went back down.
I. Am. So. Grossed. Out.
So I moved to my husband's hometown over a year ago. He literally knows everyone in this town. Everybody knows EVERYBODY. There's only one school system so you're with the same people from pre-k all the way to high school. All of the older people here grew up in the town. No one ever leaves and it's rare new people come in.
Basically, I have no friends here. And with baby on the way, I was hoping to meet some other moms in town. So I went to our town's swap/buy/sell FB page and put out a thing about starting a "mommy" group.
Um... y'all. There's a lot of mommies looking for something similar. And two of the girls friended me on Facebook, so we've been kind of getting to know each other. One of the girls and I have even made plans to go antiquing together one weekend. It sounds so lame and stupid, but I am so excited to have some friends in this town.
*stuck in the grey*
I ran into the same issue after moving here. I love this town, but its one of those places that time forgot. People are born here, never leave, and die here, and its really rare for anyone new to move in. I actually had a friend, when I told her that neither DH or I are from anywhere near here, blurt out "So why are you here?" It took until I was pregnant and found out that another girl at church was due around the same time as me before I finally found someone here to connect with, and I'm coming up on my 2 year anniversary of moving here.
it was really good! pretty different though, some things obviously were left out or changed to accommodate a performance but for sure something i would recommend! the scenery and costumes are amazing! and the show was actually really funny! Genie was hilarious!! if you can, def go see it!
Hm.....Rita's for water ice or baskin robins to dip myself hot fudge and ice cream? Decisions decisions. I may just use a pregnancy card and get both because eff choosing.

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.

I am so off my bump game when I'm not home. I missed posting the weekly meal thread and I have missed days of posts.
I did buy Sir W's crib and dresser today from Ikea, so that's something!
TMI... I have a cold/cough/sinus infection/whatever the hell it is and I have been coughing stuff up for a few days. In the morning it is especially bad. This morning, I was going to the bathroom and I was coughing, trying to clear my throat. All of a sudden, I hit my gag reflex and there was no going back. Had to switch around to puke in the toilet and with every force, I peed on the floor a little. So glad my DH was outside the door to hear it all, as if pregnancy wasn't sexy enough.
@LiteraChick - I was going to be a smartass and take a picture of the boxes sitting in the hallway waiting to be packed into my car for my roadtrip home. We don't have Ikea anywhere close to where we live and I figured since I was down in MD visiting family, I just needed to do it. The original crib we were looking at cost $600 by itself and another $800 for the dresser. Ouch.
But....what I did end up buying was the Sundvik crib and the Hemnes 8 drawer dresser. They are going to be perfect in the room. Now I just need to get home and get the nursery painted! And continue stalking Etsy for decor.
I AIA for the probably funky picture uploads. I am working on my ipad.
@LiteraChick - thanks! I can't wait to see it all put together. I figured this was a decent route together and we weren't impressed with the quality of DD's furniture and that was pretty piricy too.
We were originally going to do a robot theme, but then as a sort of joke I mentioned to DH that a modern deer/ woodland animals theme would be cool too. He was so on board that we jumped ship. Sir W's pinterest page overfloweth with ideas.

I'm planning to get the same crib and dresser for our LO's nursery! Most likely the smaller/slightly taller version of that dresser (so it will fit snuggly against the wall in the closet). I haven't committed to a color yet because I'm still waiting on DH to get home to settle on a paint color and get the walls painted and the curtains hung before we figure out the rest.
We went with the same crib but decided to go with a different dresser for some pops of color. We also liked the idea that they can be used later in a larger storage system when they start using the closet for clothes.
Picture shows white but we are getting it in blue and green alternating draws
I often feel bad for my married friends that don't have kids ONLY because they have to put up with some seriously rude-ass remarks.
My co-worker has infertility issues and I have been present for so many careless comments about when is she going to start a family and that she isn't a spring chicken anymore.
More friends get pressure from moms who claim that life isn't rewarding unless you have kids.
I can't believe people actually say this shit, and in front of other people. I always say something back to the person but still, if that's what people are saying in front of me what are they having to put up with the rest of the time?
Seriously, why do people care if others are procreating or not. Unless someone volunteers information my motto is
I used to hate that. I also hate now that people are all like "I told you, you'd change your mind"
Oh man! The comments to people who don't have kids make me so ragey! It is ok to not want to have kids! I think there is so much pressure to have kids and so much emphasis on this idea that life is not rewarding unless you have kids that honestly a bunch of people who honestly shouldn't have kids end up having them because they feel like they have to. While having kids can definitely be incredibly rewarding, that doesn't mean it's the right choice for everyone.
Those comments also suck because you never know if the person doesn't have kids because they just don't want kids, or if it is because they can't. Questions/pressure/teasing about having kids is like putting salt in the wounds of people struggling with fertility issues. I got a tiny taste of that when we were trying to get pregnant without success and people would pressure us about having kids. Now more than ever, I NEVER ask someone without kids about if/when they plan to have some!
Here are some of what we are thinking now for decor. I am loving orange, gray, aqua, and some brown accents. I'm in love with the antler/bark name print. I'm not loving chevrons, but might be okay with it if it ends up just being in the quilt. Still haven't decided whether or not to purchase one from Etsy.
Re: Random thread- for all things random.
Nope. Apparently if he's not coming home, I see no point in keeping a nice, clean house.
