I did the study back in august and had a chemical pregnancy in September.
Good luck! The no anesthesia ER isn't so bad- don't let it scare you. The best part is no IV is needed and they feed you before you go in.
@fizzachaudhary : thank you! good luck with your retrieval; keep us posted. I saw Dr. Kim for one of the monitoring days and he was so bleh and not friendly....definitely felt like a number rather than a patient and person with him.....hopefully it's different for you @shood77: good luck. I've found RMA is great. Where did you go before? @Denise91980: free is good! . My friend did the natural study. She had one egg retrieved. @cls78: Good luck! @repute: I had one (sry if TMI) wipe that was light pink. I attributed it to implantation bc it was the day after the extreme crampy feeling...,like 5 days after transfer. How is everything going? @NYGiants2010: how are you feeling?
@bobnclaudia - I'm feeling pretty good. I've had a couple moments of queasiness. I have my second ultrasound on Friday, hopefully we will see a heart beat. Thanks for asking!
@Repute: I'm so anxious lol....I've never had as many pregnancy dreams before. My BFF and her fiancé told me that I was gonna have quads bc they were gonna both split....I had that dream last night. It doesn't matter, as long as they're/the baby is healthy. Which office do you go to?
Dr. Kim is getting a lot of heat on this board so I just wanted to pipe in with a positive review! He was my doctor and I felt as though he was extremely attentive. I checked in on me on monitoring and performed my transfer. When I came down with OHSS he checked on my personally and scheduled my follow-ups so that he would be on duty. He was extremely friendly and took time to answer all of my and my husband's questions. I'm sorry if you had a different experience with him, but wanted to share another perspective!

Hi ladies! I'm new to this thread, and I'm SO happy I found this!! I have secondary infertility. 2 failed IUI's with Follistim. Had a follow up appt with Dr. Kim today @ Basking Ridge and I qualify for NeXgen! I'm really excited about it! I told my sister and she doesn't like the idea of a biopsy done to the embryo. Can someone please explain this process to me further? I'm still waiting for the research team to call me to go over everything. I know you ladies can explain it in simple terms that I can understand haha.
@jcstord I am in the nexgen study and have er tomorrow! They will explain everything clearly for you, but feel free to ask me any questions! GL!
@bobnclaudia Doing good. How are you? I hope you got your answers.
@fizzachaudhary Sorry to hear that. Are you still going to cycle?

Hi ladies! So the past 2 weeks have been tough (going to a baby shower, telling more family) but knowing some answers is reassuring & having hope/staying positive is helping. I found out that in the neXgen study, I was in the control group/non PGD group. The 2 embryos they put in were normal and high grade BA/BD....which one actually took... Who knows. Out of the 23 left, we have 17 that are normal, high/good, viable embryos...the other 6 had problems like missing/additional embryos(?) or not able to run. My DH & I go in 2.5 weeks to Dr. Shastri to talk about the next step and if theres anything to do prior.
@bobnclaudia I'm so so sorry for your loss. Having 17 normal frozen embies is fantastic though! Keep us posted on your next step. I'm also in the NexGen Study at RMA's BR location. I just got my first beta call today... 38.5. The nurse told me she's 'Cautiously optimistic' that they think my number is a little low.... so now I sit and pray and hope that the second beta doubles normally. Wishing you great success on your next FET.

hey, ladies. i'm new here and will start stims with RMANJ on monday.
Was wondering if ya'll have any travel advice for me? I will be traveling alone and hubby will join me once retrieval is scheduled. I am having to travel at the last possible minute bc I have kiddos at home, so to break away is a bit difficult.
I'm so nervous bc my last cycle with CCRM I didn't make freezeable blasts. My kids are all day 3 transfers, so I am a bit nervous doing the CCS testing.
any travel advice is welcomed. Where to stay? Where to fly into? How long does it take to get from airport to clinic?
My nurse told me I need to be in the office to be monitored no later than 7:30am on monday, may 5th, but that is going to be almost impossible. I HAVE to leave florida on monday early am and the earliest I get to the airport is 8:50am. So how long would it take me to get to the clinic at that point? CCRM let me monitor late in the day on day of travel (like 12 noon)....was so hoping they could be a little flexible (or as flexible as they can be).
hello! Thank you for responding. "The bump" is new to me, so I'm not sure how everything works.
Yes, I just emailed my nurse and she said Baskin Ridge office is where it will all happen for me. I am with Dr. Bergh.
Thanks for taking the time to help me out.
BTW, do ya'll have a facebook group or anything? Just thinking a facebook group would be nice bc of the simple search feature (I could "search" for travel tips rather than scour through 5 pages of posts! lol!)
@cls78 thank you for helping me out. I'm sure there are others out of state like myself that have traveled to RMANJ. I am fresh off a cycle from CCRM where I didn't make freezeable blasts..ugh.
From your signature, it looks like you have had great success with them so far! Congrats and good luck with your FET!
Is there a RMANJ Ladies facebook group? Or a search function on this website?
my nurse did point me in the direction of their website, HOWEVER, I'm looking for personal experiences from you ladies. and after mapping things it looks like the airport is 35 minutes away from Baskin Ridge.
@mamamorg No, but there are a lot of RMA ladies on this board though. You can join in on the May Blossoms IVF thread. Lots of support there. I paged a couple of the RMA girls for you who live in North Jersey to help you out some more. Sorry you didn't get any blasts at CCRM, but hopefully RMA can help you out! Good luck to you too!
