  • @kirotea‌ I felt a lot better when we switched to FF and pumping. Even though I still feel a sense of failure I don't cry every time she gets fed, I'm not stressed about if she's getting enough and she's healthy and growing. My nipples are finally healed and I can stand for fabric and/or a bra to touch them again. It's a tough decision but do what's best for you and your babe.

I just got one for an LC visit that was out of our network ugh. If I would have known I would have booked with someone else. Also, The Babysitter Club movie is on Netflix. Score. It probably isn't as good as I remember it being when I was younger.

  • @saisongbird‌ glad you have an end date. Baby could still show up this weekend.
I have a small Asian frame and still had a vaginal birth with a 8 pound 4 ounce baby
Hope you can avoid a c section

Yeah I don't think frame has much to do with whether baby will fit. I think it's more how baby tries to move down. I have an hourglass figure with fairly wide hips but the doctor said there was no way lo was fitting, after my section he had quite the conehead.

  • She's concerned about the amount of pelvic pressure I'm feeling, yet the baby isn't dropping.  I think she thinks that baby is trying to drop and can't.

RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.

  • I just got an email from my long term sub at school and it sounds like my classroom is falling apart. One kid was running away from a paraprofessional and ran into playground equipment and knocked a permanent front tooth out, another kiddo bit a para and has been running away from staff (a problem I spent a year and half correcting) and one is refusing to work and saying she can't wait for me to come back. I should probably mention I teach special ed. It is seriously going to take me the rest of the school year to fix all of the behaviors that have started while I have been gone. I am dreading walking back into that and it's going to make my last week off with sweet Emma miserable. My heart breaks for those kids and I feel like I failed them in my choice for sub. Ugh.

  • So Jack has been super fussy for the last two days, I assumed he was hitting his six week growth spurt a little early. In the last couple of hours he's been coughing and wheezing. His nose is clear and he's not coughing anything up or spitting up, but he is drooling which he hasn't before. I'm not sure if he's coming down with something or if he's just not sure how to deal with the drool. My poor baby who barely ever cries has been crying all night.

This may be a dumb question but how can I tell if I've got my period vs just continuing to have pp bleeding?

OMG! Same problem. I don't feel like I'm on my period, but I'm bleeding. Maybe it's bc DH and I tried to DTD? I wasn't ready for PPP yet.

  • @CHalePhoto‌ I've never seen that before, but yeah it does. o.o I feel bas for your nips, if you're BFing...

I found something on my left nip after Mia's 7:30 feeding that looked like white cheese... It was gummy, sticky, and right next to a spot where I've been cracked for a while. :/ I'll definitely be calling my doctor's office in the morning, but anyone else had something like this?

:( I was literally just thinking to myself a little while before this that I was starting to get a handle on this EBFing thing...

  • @AnonymousMotherOfOne‌ when I was still trying to bf that happened to me. I don't think it was anything bad, but it always came from the cracked areas. When they healed it went away.

  • @mevensen‌ about how long did it take for your cracks to heal? I mean, I know everybody's different, but did you do something special to help the process along, or just let them do their thing? I'm almost tempted to just feed her only from the other side and express the left side when it gets too full so it can heal, but then I worry that it would mess with my supply.

  • @AnonymousMotherOfOne‌ It took a few days once I stopped pumping after she fed. I think the suction on my pump was way too high and made them way worse. I hope yours heal up soon!!!

  • @kirotea‌

My bleeding stopped at 3-4 weeks, hence why we attempted to DTD, but it started up a day or 2 after we tried. His bday is next week and my mom will be here, so I felt like I needed to give him something. Lol.

  • @CHalePhoto‌ it is possible for babies to be born with 'natal teeth' but it's pretty rare. When it happens they are usually pulled because they tend to fall out and can be choked on. Good luck!

  • Does anyone else's baby hold his/her breath while eating? Harper holds hers a lot and if freaks me out. Her lips will turn blue and her face goes ashen. I'm going to ask my pediatrician at her next appointment, but I'm curious if anyone else's baby does the same thing.

Audrey did while in the NICU and was on a prescription for caffeine to help with it, the caffeine basically acts as a stimulant on her respiratory centre and helps 'remind' her to keep breathing. She was on it for 6 weeks after leaving the NICU. Basically she outgrew it, but the meds helped out until she could keep remembering to breathe on her own.

  • Thanks! @Jenstwins‌

She was born at 37 weeks so not too early, but I'm still really concerned. Per Dr. Google, some babies don't get that they are suppose to suck-swallow-breathe. Hopefully, her pediatrician has some answers next week.

Guys I need help. My mum has a bunch of kiwi books that she wants to record her voice reading them so she can "read" to Ryker when she's not here.

How can she do it? Is there a computer program? Or what? It would be best on a disk..... Like a cd.

    Help?

I know they have recorders i have seen people bring to college classes that they tape and then upload to their computer. Then you could upload it to a cd.

If she has a Mac she might be able to use QuickTime to make a recording then send it to you.

Not a Mac :( she's coming here in two weeks, wonder if I could somehow save an audio note on my iPad to play back? But would rather have it on a cd to keep..
If you're using Windows, go to your Accessories folder and see if there's a voice recording application. I don't have my computer in front of me at the moment, but I think there should be one. If there is you can save the recording to your computer when she's done recording, and then save it to a cd. I always recommend having important files like that saved in multiple places. (i.e. computer, CD, and a flash drive.)

When I was in college I got a cheap little voice recorder that plugged into my laptop and I could save or make a cd out of it. I got it at a office supply store.
  • I am pretty sure my pump stopped working 100% and isn't getting everything it was before which is part of my pump and milk supply issue, but I don't want to tell dh for worries he will try to go buy an $$$ pump we can't afford.

Mine has membrane thing that when one got a hole in it the pump didn't work right. I replaced the membrane and it was back to normal.
  • Membrane? Mine has these white things the let the milk to bottle and one fell apart /tore last week and it wouldn't pump but it's not that, becasue it pumps just not that great
    So you got new membranes?
Mine came with 3 sets and we got to take the stuff from the hospital so we have 3-4 of most of the pump parts

Yup those things my pump won't work right without them. Try changing them out it might work!
