Jackson had his 2 month appointment today (he's 9 weeks today) and he went from 6#8oz at birth (4 1/2 weeks early) to 11#7oz today!! He's 50th percentile for weight and head circumference and 75th for height (22.5 inches) compared to full term babies his age! He had 3 shots and was a champ. He held his breath crying right when he got each shot but then was fine.

I need a dear diary moment I had my pp 2 week appointment and we set up my pre op for my tubal. I am not sure if I want to go through with it. H just doesn't understand where I am coming from. It's probably just hormones but once it's done there is no going back, ever! so I am hiding in my room pumping my milk and crying

When can I take the bandaids off from his shots? I have sensitive skin so I try to take them off ASAP but don't know for him.

Daily accomplishment, and I am ecstatic. Mia got a bath, I got a shower, and now we're out for lunch with my mom.

Someone find me a tiny violin for myself. 

J is normally an excellent sleeper and will go in his RnP drowsy and put himself to sleep. Today for every nap he will be completely out on my chest for a good 15 minutes, but as soon as I put him down he's wide awake. At least he's just chilling out and looking around and not crying, but I'm afraid he's going to be super overtired later.

Such a great day. Mia got a bath, I got a shower, and then we went to lunch with my mom and to Carter's to get Mia some new clothes. I feel accomplished.

I've been BFing without a shield exclusively for the past 24 hours. No one told me it was going to hurt.so.much. I'm afraid I'm getting some sort of blister on my right nipple. I suck at this. Why didn't I just stick with the shield, when I knew that was working perfectly?

Please tell me how to make this happen. My toddler is breaking me down and I'm going to lose it. He hasn't napped the last 2 days and really only slept 7ish hours last night. This has turned him into a monster.

@kirotea‌ I feel your pain! I am trying to teach Colton and he is tongue tied. I have been eping since he was about 4 days old. I am trying to teach him but am so scared everytime we latch! I just take it one day at a time and if I decide to quit I will be ok with it

@LW78‌ yeah this is our third and in every responsible aspect I understand but permanent, wow scary. Plus I get sad when I think about this as our last baby. I am sure that it's hormones but it doesn't make it any easier!

DH and I went out to dinner. I got a Margarita that was delicious. We went to the mall and 20 minutes after eating I got sick in Maurices . FML....how embarrassing!!! I've always said I think I'm like allergic to alcohol.

Right there with you. My guy is almost 4 weeks old and I still have raw nipples and nothing seems to help. I think he must have a small mouth or something but I am so tired of being in pain.

I just posted about this earlier. I'm trying to wean Brooklyn off the shield and it's been a painful process. It's been 24 hours and I already have some sort of wound on my right nipple . She seems to latch OK on the left. I feel like I should just go back to the shield permenantly

We are having the same discussion. I can't imagine this being my last. And I'm 29, and I feel too young to make any permanent decisions. Buuut, 3 losses to 3 live births makes me nervous to try again. Maybe I should quit being baby greedy. Andplusalso I spent my 20s being pregnant and/or breastfeeding, so maybe I should be a little selfish and get back in shape and be super smokin hot in my 30s.

We had our first 2 boys when I was in my 20's and I worked my ass off for my smokin hot body in my 30's. Than we were surprised with this LO at 31. I am also guilty of being baby greedy

Sigh... we finally got J down for the night at nine, and things started getting hot and heavy with H (for the second time since we came home). Then out of nowhere he stops and just wants to cuddle. WTF man, way to kill my mood.

I just had to get up with J and here I am still bitter about it. DH doesn't understand why I'm in such a bad mood.

My nipples hurt, and it's making me sad and mad at the same time. >:( Leftie is cracked and bleeding, and righty isn't far behind.

I am the luckiest new mom in the entire universe to have this unicorn baby that almost doesn't cry for any reason. Hungry? She sucks on her fingers. Wet or dirty? No big deal. Getting a bath? Whatevs, mom. Too hot or too cold? Maybe I'll fuss a little, maybe I won't. Whatever.

I love my little unicorn. I just wish BFing wasn't so painful.

PIP because I can. That's Mia with her great great grandma. No, that's not a typo. My sweet old great grandmother is 97 years old, and you should have seen the way her face lit up when she met Mia for the first time today.

That is before- I'll pay my co insurance and deductible of 1250. I paid 250 oop for James under the other plan I had (I downgraded my work plan)

Oh thank god! I couldn't imagine having to pay all of that out of pocket.

As long as your baby is getting fed don't worry, you tried your best and a lot of people would have thrown in the towel already! Besides once you get used to eping it's not so bad try mooing at your self while hooked up to the milker it will make you smile in the beginning I did this and smiled everytime even if I was all teary eyed!

You don't even want to know what my hospital bills were...5 weeks, c section, and 2 in the NICU for 5 weeks...it's UGLY!!!!

@kirotea‌ Don't ever feel guilty about making that choice. I made the choice in the beginning to stop trying to bf and supplement (I just pump a few times a day now to give her some milk) and it was the best decision for me. Being able to pack up and go somewhere was huge for me. I truly think it helped keep me from getting mommy blues too bad.

@kirotea @bunnyfungo happy mama = happy baby. Don't feel bad for doing what is best for you, because ultimately it's best for baby, too. Do what you gotta do.



I never in my life imagined that I wouldn't mind trading sleep and showers for the joys of watching my baby eat, and sleep. Being a mom is awesome.
