I don't even open the baby announcement threads that don't have a screen name in the title. I'm not trolling the internet for random births to celebrate. Ain't nobody got time for that.
I just genuinely don't understand why you would want to "stop by" a site and share one of the most intimate moments of your life, with people you have built absolutely zero rapport with.

@mrscrcalli By the end of her pregnancy with me, my mom ate a box of cheez-it's a day. She got off the train in the Bronx, stopped by the convenience store on the walk home and bought a box, and ate it for dinner. Lolol!
So does this mean Its the end of my pregnancy!!!!?? 8->
My mom and my MIL are driving me nuts this week trying to plan their visits. Just because my due date is approaching doesn't mean I have a better idea of when the baby is going to come! Ugh! Leave me alone!!
I am exercising my dog by hiding bits of hot dog around the yard and having her sniff them out. She's now running around on three paws because she doesn't want to stop long enough to pull a burr out of her paw.
Dear Mom,
Stop fucking tagging me in every damn thing you see on Facebook.
Should I add you to my mom's email list?

Dear mom,
You don't have to like every single post, picture, comment or whatever I or DH do on FB. Especially the nonbaby stuff.
Ugh, one of my aunts is like this. She likes every single thing that any of my siblings, cousins, or myself post on FB. Thing is, she acts like she is all super involved in her extended family but when it comes down to being there for family events or when family needs support, she is almost always too busy. So annoying.

It's been raining and gross all weekend, so we took DS to the mall for the indoor little kiddie playground. It was ridiculously crowded with kids who were way too big, and little kiddies who needed supervision, but the parents were ignoring them and playing on their phones. DH told a kid who looked about 10 to get off the little preschool climbing things after he kicked him in the chest and narrowly missed DS. I wanted to go mama bear and scold two little preschoolers who just shoved DS to the ground to get at the toy he was climbing on - but they were like 3 or 4 and no parents in sight, and I feel wrong disciplining someone else's child. Grrr! If I can crawl around 9 mos pregnant to watch my kid and make sure he isn't being a little asshole, you can too!
DS did take a liking to another little 2 year old boy, and they just ran in circles chasing each other and laughing. It was adorable.
There's a peanut butter themed place in the food court, so I split a peanut butter, fluff, Nutella, and M&M sandwich with the boy as a snack. I ate half while he refused to touch it because it looked funny, and then he finally tasted it, and then refused to share the rest. This is his reaction when I asked for a bite. Also, pro-tip ladies, that sandwich is even more amazing if you grill it like grilled cheese. My stomach kind of hurt afterwards, but totally worth it.
What a cute kid you have! And a peanut butter themed place at a food court sounds right up my alley. I love all things peanut butter!

I made orange chocolate brownies but they're too dry and fluffy cake-like for me to want to eat them. I should have cooked them less or added more melted choccy.
Solution: cover them in chocolate-caramel sauce and ice cream.
Even though my friends and I all stuffed our faces with spinach artichoke dip yesterday, I want more! I froze half of the leftovers but still have a good 1-2cups in the fridge.
Anyone have good leftover ideas? If it comes down to it, I may just thin it with some chicken broth and use it as a pasta sauce lol!
I think there's something on Pinterest about butterflying chicken breasts and stuffing them with mixtures like that!

I wish my body would stop eating like it was pregnant.
Wait, we're supposed to stop eating like we're still pregnant?! I thought this was the 4th trimester so it was cool to eat a box of girl scout cookies then a plate of fries all while downing a venti latte.
I know this has been talked about before, but I forgot to save it. Belly Binders after a c-section? I didn't know these existed after my c-section with my DS1, and this hospital didn't have any. My recovery is not going near as well right now, so do they really help and which ones are the best?

I wouldn't have survived without mine! Made walking and getting around so much easier!
OK so I know this is a really really stupid question and I expect to be flamed for this...
38 weeks now! First day of leave and all that, so everything thats a little different is making me question myself!
I have never felt BH or major tightenings or anything at all so have no idea what everyone is talking about when they talk about the above. I occasionally feel maybe a bit tight across the top of my belly when I've been on my feet a lot but wouldn't say it was a contraction or anything...
When contractions start, I will actually know won't I? Im not going to be sitting here thinking "Oh thats a bit crampy" and next thing I know baby is here?

Your whole belly contracts with a real contraction. And you get to a point where you can't talk through them.
yeah this is what I was expecting - the whole intensity ramping up thing. When ever DH asks, I always just say we will go into the hospital when I cant walk or talk through them. But it will be good to recognise the early contractions as well!!
I just assumed its a 'you'll know thing"...
Thanks for not flaming!

I MISSED YOU GIRLS!!!!! @mamamonzo that's a gorgeous pic of you and Luke. @kseccomb17 your little man is perfect.
AW: here's what I could snap pics of from earlier.
Oh yea... ITS A BOY (shower was a gender reveal)
Yaaaaay boy!! Congrats! Your shower looks like it was so much fun, I'm glad your little dude waited until after your fantastic baby party. Now he can go ahead and come out.
Well this kid can finally arrive. DH and I spent the day deep cleaning the house. He even pledged all the cabinets. Then we made 12 freezer crockpot meals. (They are probably enough for 36 meals since it was for a family of 4 and I didn't realize that until the end). I even got one last prenatal massage this morning! After such a good date night last night I feel like we are ready!
Icing the cupcakes I made, taking a bath, then going to bed!
@deidremaria I swear I already knew it was a boy. I had no idea it was a secret. I've known all along... Call it intuition! When you said oh yea it's a boy I thought to myself... Well duh I know that!
Crazy how the brain works! Congratulations! Your shower looks like it was so fun!

I asked my midwife this too. Lol.
She assured me I would know.
I think I may just be starting to notice my bh contractions...maybe. But real labor will build in intensity
