In L&D for blood pressure monitoring, day 3. Do I or don't I have pre-e? Arrrgh I just wanna know one way or the other. :-<
How far along are you? At this point if it were me... 38+4 and i'd been there for THREE days! I'd ask to be induced to be discharged. Quit wasting my time!

Instead of sending DH to the grocery store, I just might go myself so I can swing through Taco Bell for those cinnabon bites people were talking about yesterday.

Oh god yes, if I'd been here continuously, I'd have demanded action. I've been making the trip back and forth from home, been able to sleep at home at night, thank goodness.
So it IS mild pre-e. I'm 39 weeks today, so today is induction day. Yet another A14er who won't make it out of March! Good luck!

My husband and I took Hypnobirthing classes and my mom kept asking me 'have they showed you how to change a diaper yet?'
I don't think she fully grasps what Hypnobirthing is, even now. Then again she thought a doula was 'an Islamic woman' who would deliver the baby. Bwahaha
I think there's a difference between being "dead set" on how you want labor to go and being well informed. If you don't have a plan, or even a preference on a lot of things (some things that you might never even think of unless someone brings it up) it's easy to just go with whatever you're told at the time. For me, I wanted to be well informed and have plans and backup plans discussed with DH and my doc so that I don't have to feel forced into anything on the spot. That doesn't mean we've accounted for every scenario, but the research I've done through birth class, reading a variety of books, watching documentaries, discussions here, articles, talking with friends IRL who have young ones, etc. have aided me with being comfortable with whatever happens, but strong in standing up for the choices I CAN make.
I have an idea of how I'd like things to go.
I want to be able to move around, plan on laborubingin the tub possibly birthing in it but haven't quite decided that yet.
I want to avoid an epidural. I like the idea of med free but I'm not going to feel ashamed if I need them.
I don't want the hep b shot.
My midwives explained how they typically do things, immediate skin to skin, delayed cord clamping etc. and I feel very happy with their procedure.
I will definetly continue to read but I think it's too late and just not my style to take a class.
My moms friend was horrified though.
There's a lactation support group though that I plan on attending. And a first aid day class for $20 that I'll take DH to. I think that will be more beneficial to me.
Has anyone ever met an SO of a friend who talked more about their SO's difficult birth than the SO does? Because, we have a friend that constantly talks to us about horrible her birth was and she's never really mentioned it being horrible. She did talk about it being difficult, but, not in the gory detail he does. Also, its annoying that he said he wished she had had a c section. I find it extremely annoying.
Yeah, like the only people who knew were the people involved with the wedding. Congregation had no idea. And the pastor managed to tie it into the sermon (we go through books of the bible rather than topics).

DH and I failed miserably at the Moby I got him (it has the cubs logo on it, I thought it would encourage him to baby wear)....we were rolling on the floor laughing.
Gestational diabetes can suck my ass. I feel SO bad mentally & physically when my sugars are off. And I hate eating so much meat! I am sick of protein overload! Ugh.
I made chicken stir fry for late lunch/early dinner, and I may or may not be contemplating eating DH's share while he is out mowing the lawn. I'm such a meanie. Maybe I'll just drink another glass of water and see if that's what I really wanted before I go back for more noms.
All the March babies! So blown away by how many birth announcements we have already and all the RTTers in L&D.

Sorry, rant over.
Im sorry- i couldnt imagine having to eat a lot of meat and stay away from the sugar. You ladies with GD are effin saints.
Tried to catch up but got overwhelmed! Hugs to those who need them and good luck to anyone about to pop out a baby!
P.S- I want all the cheese. All of it.

Thanks for the sympathy @nikki912. I shouldn't be such a whiner. Could be much worse, but dammit I just want to eat all of the carbs & sugar guilt-free like a normal pregnant woman! Haha!
Today I feel nauseous. I was gardening and felt the urge to throw up it was awful. What is THIS part of pregnancy 37 weeks and nauseous like 1st tri? Bleh
September Siggy Challenge: What I Sing in the Shower: Little Mermaid "Part Of That World"
Even though my friends and I all stuffed our faces with spinach artichoke dip yesterday, I want more! I froze half of the leftovers but still have a good 1-2cups in the fridge.
Anyone have good leftover ideas? If it comes down to it, I may just thin it with some chicken broth and use it as a pasta sauce lol!
I love tit all baby announcements and usually say congrats on all of them even if i dont recognize the name. Im always afraid that they actually do "go here" and im too much of a forgetful bitch to notice. So the randoms are totally getting reinforced by me...

Also- anyone else wonder if the driveby birth stories that have the women in labor for only eight hours or progress from 0-10 in like 60 seconds are purposely fucking with us...like "you bitches are going to be so hopeful this is your story."
(Can i anyone tell im bored and occupying myself with gifs?)
