We have settled on a name RTT!!! It only took 8 1/2 months but we both love it:) now were not telling anyone in real life what it is so no one can say anything negative or tell us a bad story about someone they know with the same name that makes me second guess if I'm setting my child up to be a drunk or cheater or something. Chase William can't wait to meet him now that I have a name I feel much more ready! 5 weeks of modified bed rest to go lol
My brothers name is Chase- and he is awesome

George Joseph is here! I will post a birth story later, when I'm not so groggy from meds. I have to decide how much I want to share, it was a lot different than my first c-section and not in a good way. But he is here and he's wonderful, adorable and healthy! And my internet sucks in my room
Quick update on the neighbor drama. There are four police in helmets, carrying AK47's and they have a warrant for someone's arrest. They've been pounding on the door for 30 minutes, but haven't gone in yet. Clearly they are expecting someone who is armed and dangerous.
I can't sleep- keep the updates coming!
Well, one of the people that lives there just pulled up in his car. The police are talking to him, and still trying to get the other guy out of the house. Apparently the driver of the vehicle is not he person they're looking for.
We were watching a movie, but it has been paused for a long time now. The neighbor drama is much more interesting.
Aww it sounds like our old neighborhood!
edit for word change

@ebie79 - have him read up on the fourth trimester. If he's still being ridiculous after that, kick him in the nuts.
I was going to say to say this but jelly said it much more eloquently than I could have. Yes, the 4th trimester. Your DH needs his head screwed on straight.

Congratulations @Tferr02! Looking forward to seeing pictures of baby George!

Congratulations! Get some rest and enjoy those baby snuggles.

And cue the drama. My mother is the biggest drama queen of life. I think I'm just gonna ban my entire family from the hospital once I'm having baby because they fight over super petty shit and always feel the need to put me in the middle because I remain neutral. I just wanna hide in my cave with my mate and my offspring. Fuck everyone else
Anyway what kind of cake should I request for my birthday dinner this weekend? Nothing to chocolaty because MIL is on a special diet (due to kidney problems).
Champagne cake with raspberry and vanilla frosting?!
Thanks @dani+california . I'm just so annoyed because my mother is one of those people who finds every possible way to make something about her even when it has nothing to with her. She's always playing the victim and calling me to cry about why she thinks this new person is after her. I'm so over it. Anytime she disagrees with one of my sisters she comes running to me and I'm so over that shit. I don't want any of them bringing the unnecessary drama around the family I'm trying to start. So like you said I'm doing what's best for me. I'm leaving them to have each other's heads.
On a more important note; I vote champagne cake as well ;-)
And you know you have problems when your OB says you are too constipated (aka colon too full) to do a proper cervical check. My cervix was still high so she just said we'll check it next week.
@ebie79, listen to PP's and snuggle that baby! You should never let a newborn cry it out. Plus, they grow out of the snuggly infant stage so quickly, enjoy every moment of it!
@avidkeo that is one scary birthday! I'm willing to bet your DH never wanted to go back to that salon.
@dani+california and Kimc85 I am jealous of both of you with your long maternity leave. I am so done with work, but I'm here until labor starts.
@jennypenny1014 I love the pictures of your little girl. She is so cute!!
@chichi589 I love the name Chase, though I might be just a little bit biased, since it is DS's name!

Oh man! I'd be so embarrassed.

Sitting in the doctors office half naked cause my doc is doing my first cervical check today. I am so swollen and I know it's gonna hurt and she is fine with me opting out, but I am just so curious. Sigh.
I hope it goes smoothly! Thankfully it is slender lady finger and not burly man hands!
She was admitted to the hospital yesterday at 9pm. It's been slow progress and she is still in early labor with her twins. FX they will start her on pitocin by 11am (about an hour from now). She sent her hubs home to sleep, and the wonderful staff is now letting her walk around to encourage labor to progress.
She sounds really positive and is in great spirits! She will post a thread once those two cuties get here, but ok'd me update the lovely RTT team
@ColleenSwerb, it sounds like our DS's have the same cold. I have him some ibuprofen this morning and as soon as he drank it, he turned to me and said "I feel better". Gotta love the placebo affect. He's still coughing, dripping, and his energy level is really low, but I'm convinced it's just a cold.

DH is obsessed with stocking the freezer with crockpot meals. I'm not nearly as motivated. I just don't see the point. Why can't I go buy the ingredients for meals I know I like and have them on hand instead of freezing things I'm not sure I'll like?
I think he may be the one pregnant and not me. He's done way more nesting than I have.

If he hadn't had the fever all week, I wouldn't have even bothered going in. I knew it likely wasn't anything serious since SIL checked his lungs yesterday and they were clear, but 5 days is the longest I'm comfortable letting a fever go without being seen. Especially with the weekend starting, because my luck he'd wake up Sunday morning with a crazy fever and puking or something, kwim?
I hope your DS feels better soon too!!
I understand. DS has had a really mild temperature the last couple of evenings (99.6 to 99.8), but nothing during the day. This morning it was 99.8 when he woke up, but had dropped to normal within 30 minutes. Let's hope both our DS's wake up tomorrow morning feeling better.

I wish there was a way our bodies would know what stuff is "supposed" to feel like. That's been an issue for me the whole pregnancy: was that a kick or a gas spasm? I thought I had a burst cyst when I was in those two weeks post-ovulation with this baby.
Now, I finally went to the bathroom this morning (after a cup of coffee and 16oz of water) and felt like I lost control of my peeing. Like I couldn't stop. So then I naturally freak out "is this my water breaking", but can't tell and so far no leaks since. Though baby REALLY woke up and is pushing up against my belly like there's no tomorrow.
I wish I had an internal manual that just KNEW what precisely is going on at all times in my body.
I just wanna lay in bed and whine today. My ribs hurt, my stomach hurts, and I am thirsty but my tummy is too full from breakfast to drink more without feeling like vomit.
Also my neighborhood is full of dogs and while I like dogs, I hate every one of them (and their asshole owners). One starts barking at fuck knows what and the entire neighborhood of outdoor dogs is barking and howling for the foreseeable future. It is god awful. STFU, animals.

I have huge amounts of groceries and food prep to do today when compared to current energy level. Need motivation to get clothes on and go to grocery.
That can happen?! :-O
