You guise my big sister surprised me and flew in from NY! She and my twin told me that she wouldn't make it and I got all sad and when we were at the pizza place my big sister was there waiting for us and crept up behind me. It was the best!
Pregnancy sex is such a mind fuck. every aspect of it has me either depressed or impressed and dh is either doing a good job keeping a straight face or actually enjoying it.
I'm getting tired of doing it on my side. Other than that all is the same...except I can't see wtf is happening down there while it's happening. For all I know he's reading a book and giving it to me with something else.
Ah pregnancy sex. Such mystique
I haaaate side right now! I always feel like my hip is going to pop out of socket. Plus, DH isn't very well endowed (not a complaint!) so sometimes he comes out and it slows the process. I actually prefer to be on top right now, but we can't do it in the bed that way. We utilize a specific chair in the living room so that my feet can still touch the ground. He knows what I'm in the mood for if the chair has a sheet on it....

I still prefer missionary, but I lie there like a beached whale afterward. And then when I try to move? Oh dear god does the back pain act up. It's a good thing DH has already gotten off because hearing the whimpering and grunting from his wife would probably make any man go soft!

Traditional missionary isn't recommended at this stage of pregnancy because it prohibits proper blood flow (same reason to not sleep on your back). I prefer missionary overall, and we did it modified (me propped up) until my belly got too big.

So random thought... I take it most of you have heard that Disney is doing a show called "Girl Meets World" wherein Cory and Topanga play the parents? Well, my college newspaper wrote an article about it and kept talking about "the milennials" as if they were old timers.
I then realized that almost all of the underclassmen at my college would have been born while "Boy Meets World" was airing. 28 feels really old tonight. I may as well just start drinking wine coolers and playing Bridge now.

Meh, if we were to have sex now, because its been so long it would be over so quickly, blood flow wont be an issue :P

Ok ladies, it's almost over for us. DH and I made the call today to have my MIL taken off of dialysis and switched over to comfort care rather than extend her life and suffering any longer. The doctors helped with and fully backed our decision. We made peace with it over the past two weeks, and we know it's the most loving thing we can do for her at this point. She's gone downhill so fast, she won't be more than a few more days with us, and then she'll be with Jesus. No more crying, no more suffering, no more dying there. She'll be at peace.

Congrats Atari, big hugs to BIRL, and kcp I really hope the jaundice goes away as quickly as possible! I hope I didn't miss anyone while trying to catch up, extra hugs and prayers for those who need them!
Finally experiencing pregsomnia the past few nights but it might be more because SO has been sleeping with me and I need to switch sides so often. Also, tonight, we went to this tavern and I have been violently farting myself awake every five minutes it seems. I feel so bad for him, I don't have a problem farting around him, but my sleep farts are disgustingly loud. At least we had sex before that started, can't imagine sleep farts being a turn on...
Why do my boobs look so good? Then I peed on a stick...
I have the most irrational fear in the back of my mind that I won't make it to the hospital so of course, I had nightmares all night.
Question for those STM+ awake - did you have similar labors as your mothers?
I'm the only child. Mom was induced and had me within 3 hours, the doctor was shocked. Now everyone in the family is saying it'll be the same for me and I better get to the hospital ASAP as if there's a genetic component involved that I'm unaware of. I ignored them up until recently when the thought creeps into my head. Luckily, I have an appt today to express my craziness.
Hugs BIRL we are all thinking of you and your family.
@SoulTermination hugs to you and DH, its so hard to give comfort when you don't know what they want. Thoights with you guys as well.
To all the pregsomniacs... Is it normal to get really thirsty towards the end? I've been guzzling water and milk so much lately! Water cause it's good, and milk to help with the heartburn I get from the water!!

I have this same fear! I've done this before and had plenty of time in the hospital before DD came, but I'm still terrified I'll have this baby to home or in the car. The odds are that you will make it to the hospital in time. My labor was completely different from my moms. Hope you calm down!

My mother never experienced labor - two emergency c-sections (I was a failed induction at 42 weeks - fuck if you're gonna try to get me out of bed when I don't wanna; my brothers had preemie twin issues). So... I never really have a genetic basis for comparison. Although I guess with DD coming on her own hours before her due date could say that my labor was unlike hers? (Still seems kind of apples and oranges.)
Failed induction at 42 weeks? What a lazy fetus you were! I've tried to see if there's been studies done but nothing really has come up. I'll probably get stabby next time someone in the family brings it up. "Show me scientific research dammit!!!"

My mom had two c-sections and I've had two vaginal births, so can't really compare.
I share this same fear because I live and hour away from the hospital and with my first I was in denial that it was real labor and showed up at 8 cm. With my second, I went from 6 cm to baby on my chest in 10 minutes.
