@AprilMay9 I really appreciate your "thank you for sharing" in the labor bag thread. I scrolled down before reading the post, saw your comment, and clicked the back button.
You paid $200 for a pair of maternity jeans??!! Holy shit. I wouldn't spend that on regular jeans. Apparently, this confirms I am a cheap ass.
Honestly, I haven't spent that much on any jeans in a long time. My favorite brand is LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's because they fit me perfect (fits butt with no waist gap). She doesn't make maternity though, and I'm not really a fan of ON or Gap Denim. These jeans were my only maternity splurge, but I've been able to wear them the entire pregnancy and get lots compliments on them so it was worth it!
@katieharpiceland oh man that is crazy! I would love to have been induced! I just go by days now. 11 more days! It's so crazy how times have changed. Did she mention any special parenting techniques she may have used raising those two?

Nothing in particular. She's chinese and her husband is Icelandic, so, I'm sure he parenting is more along the lines of the Asian norms. Probably not AS strict though, since they live in Iceland :-) I'm leaning on them a bit because they also have the 3 language issue like we do (they spent a lot of time living in the states, so the girls had to know English.)
Why is it so hard for me to sit down and write thank you cards? I've pulled these cards out about 4 times and nothing. They have to get done today because they are for work people and this is my last week of work. Anyone care to throw out some good thank you card lines?

Panera soups are awesome, but their sandwiches (other than the paninis) and salads, in particular, leave much to be desired. Except for that strawberry poppyseed salad, I think the rest are crap-o-la. I don't care for cold meat on salads, though, so it could just be me.

Dear Sandy,
Thank you for the towel set, bubble bath, and bath toys you gave us for Patrick&Carter to use. We love them and will put them to great use in these up coming months. Also, thank you for coming to the shower and making it that much more special. I really appreciate it.

I'm addicted to panera soups and their Mac n cheese I'm surprised no ones mentioned. I agree that most of their salads and sandwiches I could do without...though their breakfast power sandwich is delicious.
It seems we've been missing ladies on the RTT.... The one that stands out to me is @tallab ... Anyone else? Hope everyone is ok.
Good morning ladies!
@P&B715 I'm still alive!! I've been lurking lots, and participating here and there - my work schedule changed and now I feel like I practically live at work and it leaves less time for bumping:(( I'm shocked someone would notice my absence! Now I feel like a reg!
Just got home from the mall. We let DD pick any outfit she wanted her brother to come home in. Not that we thought the outfit was super important, we wanted her to feel as included as possible. She picked a little sweat suit with anchors on it, since pirates are her favorite. She seems to be more excited than ever.
And then he took me to Target. With zero prompting. And we made it out for less than $40.
We're both in labor. Obviously.
I read this as "And we made out for less than $40." Clearly reading comprehension fail on my part, but I was trying to figure out where the most romantic spot at Target is to make out.

Ugh. I had to go to the clinic at my nearby pharmacy this morning my cough has gotten so bad; got some amoxicillin and a bronchitis diagnosis, so hopefully that helps.
Someone at work gave me the bug that's going around, and not only am I coughing so hard I've pulled the muscles right under my boobs, but my asthma has decided that my lungs aren't under enough stress right now as it is, so I'm also wheezing and breathing through a vice. Add to that the feeling of being hit by a semi truck, and I'm terrified Peanut will decide to come while I'm sick. I barely slept last night because I kept coughing/wheezing myself awake, I was so exhausted when I got up I just cried in the shower.
Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, I just can't take it right now. (
Shiiiit I made the mistake of leaving this thread. I'm having like crazy preggo rage at someone who just did that "I'm laughing at all you FTMs saying never..." thing. Fuck off. You know what I know as a STM? If I cared enough about something before I had kids, I made it work. Some things I realized I didn't care enough about to fight, but when I cared, I stuck to my guns. I hate that condescending BS.
Gah, and I just broke my own sanity preserving rules about not discussing mommy war crap.
I have bed shared and co-slept and that statement still made me defensive and ragey. I hate when people make obnoxious comments like that.
After more than 14 months of marriage I finally got around to boxing up my wedding gown, veil etc for preservation. DH is glad to no longer have it taking up room in our closet LOL.
I've been married 3 years, and my dress is still hanging in the back of our closet. It hasn't even been cleaned...oops
I'm lucky. My mom took my dress after the wedding and had it cleaned and preserved. Otherwise I'd probably never have gotten around to it either.
Nope, just a lot of questions. A woman there said she honestly thought you couldn't eat sushi while pregnant because a pregnant coworker of hers was dead-set against it. I just explained the misconceptions/exaggerations around it and shared my own personal views about it and she was respectful, which was nice!
No one mentioned the wine, surprisingly. Heh
I want sushi but Ive been afraid to have it.
Someone tried to tell me I couldn't have shrimp at dinner once! They thought you couldn't have any seafood.
Re: Longest Thread EVER! (aka Random Thoughts Thread )
Lol let's trade SO's for meals. SO always wants a burger! I could use some panera in my life!
