Hugs to all the ladies that need them- (and big TP's to all the SO's that need them)!!
I'm so tired today. I slept like crap and just feel sore and achy. My Mom and my in-laws are coming over this afternoon so now instead of being lazy and taking a hot bath I have to get the house cleaned up. At least we're going out to lunch at my favorite Irish pub and I don't have to worry about cooking!!
DH and I are having issues this weekend too. I over exerted myself yesterday and was exhausted by dinner time so I asked DH to go get take out. He basically said my choices were mcdonalds or he would heat me up a hot pocket. Not exactly nutritious. I wanted a burrito (I know not that much better but at least there are some veggies! ) but he said if I wanted that I had to go with him because he couldn't handle ordering by himself. Really? He's thirty-fucking-five years old and he can't order a burrito!?! Anyway...It's a long story that ends in him trying to make me a burrito at home at 9:45 where he almost burns the house down and me cleaning up the aftermath. I'm really hoping he understands that if the baby is hungry you can't just wait 4 hours until you feel feeding her. Makes me very worried!
@mamamonzo Glad your DH is stepping up, but I'm sorry this is so hard! I've heard from mom friends that there's a fourth trimester where everything is just insane as you and baby are adjusting to new life in the outside world. Something around three month in clicks, and it gets tons better. But I can't imagine what this is like for you now. I will soon, though! Hugs to you!
@KatieGummow, I'm sorry, but ew. DH has the occasional cigar, as do I (not pregnant) but I can't even handle the idea of dip. Do you kiss him after?
My hips! My butt! I have a hula hoop of pain around pelvis and I can't get it to stop! Good morning ladies! On the upside, baby is seeming to sleep when I do, and wiggle when I wake. She's getting more attuned to my sleeping patterns (or I'm delusionally hopeful and this is a two-day fluke) instead of keeping me up late into the night. And I love that the first thing I think in the mornings now is "good morning, baby girl!"

Mine to as an alternative for smoking... I can't decide which I hate more.
Same. That was 9 years ago...
Mine quit smoking 7 years ago but he used gum and it took him 5 years to quit the gum. Sometimes I thought the gum was worse than the cigarettes because he would leave his chewed gum everywhere but at least he finally quit that too. All of it is pretty annoying for different reasons!
@spano41, mine does gum too when he tries to quit dip. But he chews it ALL the time. It is so annoying. I don't understand, because I am not an addict, why he can't just flipping use it to quit nicotine. One subsistitue for another.
@biggerinreallife, I would much rather him dip than smoke cigarettes for sure. He has an occasional cigar which I don't mind but you're right about the kissing. I can't really taste the dip if we kiss after, but we don't make out all the time anyways...
I have tried everything under the sun to catapult him into quitting; nagging, ignoring, crying, yelling, threatening cancer, mentioning bad role modeling... but again, I don't know what it's like to be addicted to something, so hopefully when he sees these beautiful boys something will click.
@mamamonzo I'm glad to hear that your DH stepped up last night. I'm a firm believer in doing whatever you can to get sleep. Sleep deprivation makes everything seem worse. I really hope that you and Lucas get some much needed sleep today. Good luck!
I'm sorry to everyone who is having issues with their DH/SO. I just don't think some men realize the impact of their words.
Hugs to everyone who needs them.

Looking forward to catching up on bumping today! Yesterday was a whirlwind of nursery decorating and parties. My back and hips are NOT very happy with me today. Sooo I sent DH to Target with a list of errands. I'm trying to set the bar high leading up to giving birth, that way doing stuff for the baby will seem like a vacation for him
Also, I totally don't remember a bunch of people being supportive of belly casts at 10 weeks. Or, it could be that all the supportive people got scared off eventually....
Honestly, that belly cast thread has given me so many good laughs. It really has put "more happiness & positivity into the world" just like OP wanted. Too bad her lack of a sense of humor is preventing her from recognizing that.

Some people need too much approval these days to do the things they want to do. I gave up on that crap a long time ago. I am WAY more happy and positive now. Makes me kind of feel sorry for them.
Did you guys ever use a tennis ball for back labor? Or find anything that seemed to help? It was more intense for me than actual contractions with DD, and I'd like to attempt med free.
We're going to use one of those handheld massagers - the ones with 4 little 'feet', so DH can push on either side of my spine and get those tough muscles. I can only imagine the tennis ball would hurt in his hand after a while, so I don't want him to give up on it.
This reminds me that I should ask MIL to borrow her little handheld massager, if she knows where it is at the moment. Thanks!

Huge thunderstorm, tornado watch... This is not how I envisioned my beach weekend.
More time to bump, I guess. MIL made cake, too...
Eep! I love thunderstorms, but tornadoes suck! *comfort* Sorry your beach weekend is ruined, but FX no tornadoes touch down. I think I'd rather be in another earthquake than deal with a tornado. x.x

I'm in a ridiculous amount of pain today, I don't know how to make it stop
Can you get in that lovely bathtub you have? That's been helping me lately. I'd even suck it up and get in a pool if I could. That sounds lovely right now.
I swear if people keep saying "sleep now you won't get much when baby get here" I WILL TP them. So sick of hearing it, especially after last night where I was up every hour to pee or coughing, or because my hips hurt....What is the point of telling 8 month pregnant lady that anyways??
I hear ya! It's frustrating. Especially coming from people who've been pregnant before
Reading "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding" by LLL. Has anyone ever joined a local chapter? I'm not sure I'm bf for the long haul and I'm afraid that won't go over well if I try to join one here. But the support would be amazing...
Ugh TMI but I pooped a bunch this morning and my back has been killing me since. My stomach has been cramping off and on since. I'm not ready for this yet. I'm laying in bed, refusing to acknowledge that labor might be starting soon. LO is not allowed to come until Friday night, my friend flys in on Friday so that she can watch DS and my dogs when we are in the hospital.
God this is me!! Add a feeling of mild nausea to the list and I'm starting to wonder....
However LO is NOT allowed to arrive before Sunday - I do not want to go to the big hospital!!!

My SPD seems a lot better today as well! I'm not sure if it's just natural progression or my body's way of saying, "Heads up, you're going to have an early labor!", but this mama-to-be is ready to finally get some shit done! \:D/

I have a suppor group meeting tomorrow! I can't wait!

That one was funny. If only our washer could return our electrics for real.
