Feeling successful! I cleaned my whole kitchen, restroom, and living room. Haven't done that for a while, since I got preggers. Now to sit back and relax for two hours; then I'll do homework till I drop.
Everytime baby has hiccups I think of the Simpsons episode where homer gets WAY overweight to work at home and wears a moomoo and dr hibbert is measuring his fat and he says "wooo look at it go" ha!
I quote this episode all the time! "I wash myself with a rag on a stick"! Best. Episode. Ever.
Grimm-watchers, is there any way to watch season 4 if you don't have TV? I got 1-3 on Amazon and I'm hooked!
Project free tv. I never remember the URL so always just google it and it is the first to pop up and then type into into the search and look for the season you want to watch
Gee you leave for an hour and look what you miss!!! I got called into work, so instead of lazing around in bed till 11 (totally my original plan) I got up, quickly showered and drove to work...
At least the patient was actually sick... nothing worse than when you get there and its nothing!
Now I feel queasy... I think I was up way too quick after eating my wonderful breakfast...
So I am sitting in my comfy chair, watching FOTC with DH - up to my favorite episode where the guy won't serve Brett and Jermaine because he thinks they are Aussies!! wonder what we will have for lunch?

I read through the gender reveal thread. Hey, I'm bored! I have to say the OP really held her own well. Too bad a ton of naysayers threw her thread all out of whack. Not that I love gender reveals, but good for her for holding her own and staying classy.
And I HATE that every time I see that wench Berry's avatar I simultaneously get angry and a craving for frozen yogurt.
I only got through the first two pages. Did we have this much angst against sex reveal on this board? Was I just not as active and missed this hot button topic? Holy smokes I didn't realize people got so mad about genitals and cake!
We had a lot of questions about it early second tri. I remember a lot of people calling them tacky and encouraging people not to do them. There was a small contingent who lived them, but I don't remember it getting ugly. Definitely not devolving into the bitterness of that thread. That one mod calling Bliss out and telling her to shut up is my hero though.
I was surprised as I read it that she (the mod) had no one backing her up at the time so I threw some love its on her posts.
Me to, and I'm sure I saw BIRL there.

Totally had a crazy baby in there after dinner. So, we decided to put DH's headphones on my belly. Totally still through the whole song. (Song was Radiohead Pyramid Song.) Experiment was cool! Then, headphones off, he started moving around again!
I hate disciplining. DS kept getting out of bed at his nap time. And I said if he got out of bed one more time that he couldn't watch any tv tonight. And he did, laughing. So I said ok, no tv tonight. And then he promptly went right to sleep. So now I shot myself in the foot cause I am exhausted after a 3 hour session at the park but we can't curl up and watch a movie later. And I feel guilty since he then did exactly what I asked. And no DH all weekend. Must stay strong.
Oh man! I'm goin to have to come back to this... So you mean I will have to actually stick to those punishments? I'm so bad at that stuff.
Going into the city for dinner with friends who are in town who we only see 1-2 times a year. I feel really guilty that I have a headache and really don't feel like going at all....We will go, but I'm already feeling grumpy about it.
I hate this. I was feeling really crappy earlier this week, but we had plans to go out with friends and I went. I actually ended up feeling better. Sometimes it works out that way!

I only love this because I'm in the exact same situation. We have a game night tonight. It's loud and I don't have the brain capacity to keep up with everyone!

I'm only love titting in solidarity. Toddlers are HARD.
Hope DH is in the mood for a cook out at my parents, it sooo nice out, plus there will be cake! Also he always get tipsy and demands milkshakes on the way home
It was so nice today, I almost cried tears of joy when I walked outside.

Me three. I just really enjoy whenever someone tells that bitch what a ridiculous cuntnugget she is. Because there's sarcasm and then there's just rudeness. Which are her replies 99% of the time. Op handled it all well. —————————————— Holy God. I read that entire thread and I'm surprised I'm not needing to cut holes in the back of my skull to see cause my eyes rolled so hard that they got stuck. FFS some people are seriously just assholes.
I think what kills me is that some of said assholes are from my old BMB. Not to mention that, while I agree with the mod, she was not one of the favs on the old BMB, so I eyerolled the second I saw her name, but ultimately agreed with her as I read on; figures that roles would be reversed. LOL
@avidkeo I guess I can't pm from a mobile but let me know if this works for you
Sorry to be lazy Vinny, how big did you make the squares? I could work it out but have never actually made a quilt before! its going to be my maternity leave project - good timing because I have almost finished my cross stitch. Again thank you so much!

Picture day Tuesday. My daughter spent the day perfecting her smile. She has invented a smile in which she only shows her I-teeth, winks and bends her neck at a broken-looking angle. Beautiful... Good thing I get her pictures at 50% off!
@Vinny424 Seriously. I love you. Can I adopt you? That quilt is amazeballs.
@dani+california You know, I think most friendships have a seasonality to them. If you're super lucky you'll have a few (very few) friends who will stick with you or life. You'll probably have friends who are always in your life in various degrees of closeness depending on life circumstances, but aren't always your first phone call. And most commonly you'll have friends who are the apex of your social life for a time, and then the friendship flame will burn out as each of you moves on the the next enevitable phase. I've had lots of friends come and go, and I've learned not to take it personally when friendships fade. Yes, it sucks when you feel like you're putting more into friendships than you're getting. And pregnancy does tend to make these friendship shifts more abrupt, since it all happens so quickly. But it's really just a sped up version of what happens when all your bff's graduated college and eventually only kept in touch through Facebook. Count the blessings of the friends who stick around, noun the loss of those who don't, and move on. Bitterness does no one any good. And I hear it gives you wrinkles.

Should I feel jipped that the teacher doing the newborn class has never had kids?? She is in L&D at our hospital, and has doing it for 6 years, but when someone had question she kept saying you'll be told this when you're in the hospital. :-/
I don't have kids yet and I've been teaching new parents for years in a hospital setting. Not sure what she was saying you'd be told at the hospital that she couldn't tell you then - but i'm sure after 6 years she has found answers to questions even if she hasn't dealt with them personally - or she was just a crappy teacher. But, I don't think the fact she has never had kids is relevant.

You are my hero! When I bought it on Amazon it went up to the one with Monroe's parents that had a cliffhanger ending and I just assumed that was the end of the season!
I had to order a cake online for my son's birthday, and spent a good 30 minutes looking at photos and descriptions of all the specialty cakes. It's like cake porn and I'm now cake horny! I need cake now.
