I am irrational angry and hurt by DH right now. He called on his way home and asked if we needed anything at the store tonight bc he was swinging by with his coworker who he carpools with....I said milk. I was looking forward to milk and Oreos/brownies or something. When he got home he said he'd only bought cookies he'd seen and decided looked good and had decided there were too many options at this particular store and to just "fuck it" and we'd go grocery shopping this weekend. Seriously? Too many options!? he knows what kind of milk we drink...grab one and get home. Not that hard. Ugh. So I'm pissed and he's like do you want me to go down to the gas station (only place open now that it's 1am)? Bullshit if he wanted to be the nice husband he would have gotten what id specifically asked for. I'm not gonna let him play the dutiful victim husband and be the whiney bitch that sends him to the store to spend way too much money on a little single serving of milk when he could have pulled his head out of his butt and gotten a gallon when he was standing in front of them!'
I believe you are rationally angry at him. Too many choices? Even if he got the wrong kind, he would have still gotten milk!
Why do my boobs look so good? Then I peed on a stick...
DH got the job!!! He interviewed 2 weeks ago and found out yesterday, but I've been busy nonstop so I wasn't able to post. I was so happy when he texted me that I cried. He starts on the 3rd and the only potential drawback is that their policy is no time off for the first 90 days, however, he told them about my pregnancy in the interview so we are thinking they will be flexible on that. We have already discussed that he will go to work if I'm in early labor and I will call a pregnant friend who already has 2 kids to come be with me until I'm in active labor. Also- having a long talk with LO about how it needs to be born on a Saturday morning.
We are up early (6am here) to help at a fundraiser for a friend who has been thorough a bone marrow transplant after having leukemia. She's got 2 kids and I can't imagine all of the suffering she's faced in the past few years.
Hope you all have a great Saturday!!

@aviola329 how could he say there were too many options? Skim, 1%, 2% and whole right? Men.....
Yay Mr Piney!! That's awesome @pineconey! Does this mean you can go on leave earlier? I know you were hoping to do that.
@jennypenny1014 love it! Just last night DH told me I had to learn to knit so I could make all these cute hats he saw in a book. I'm amazed by your talent!
Ugh I want to punch hubs right now. He tells me to practice my relaxation labor pose from our Bradley book so I assume the position. I ask him if I'm doing it right since I can't see myself and he shushes me! Then I remind him that he has to make sure there's no tension anywhere and he shushes me AGAIN!!! I tell him shushing me isn't helpful and he yells "dammit woman I'm trying to read cant you just shut up?!" (Mind you he is reading the news or something about a new video game on his phone and NOT anything to do with the Bradley method and then storms out of the room. Seriously?! How the fuck is that supposed to help me relax!? I think I need to find a new birthing coach. And maybe a new husband. Ugh I'm still fuming.

Why does my DH take twice as long as me to shower and get out the door?? He's been up since 7am and it's now 10am. He's finally showering after complaining about not eating breakfast. What have you been doing for 3 hours?! Naptime is between 11 and 12 and we have errands to run! What's the point of even trying now?
I hate this weather. My SIL and one of my best friends have already had to cancel on coming to my baby shower today because of the roads. I'm so pissed at Thursday's snow storm! Everything looked so good, we even had a couple 40 degree days, and here comes the snow shitting all over my afternoon.
Stayed up stupid late last night so Im going on about 3 hours of sleep. Good news is DH got some much needed rest and I made a pretty kick ass business presentation and got him packed for his trip to ATL. Meeting with a potentially awesome client for our company so fx he kicks ass at this.
Also I had my hospital tour and it really took the wind out of my sails for unmedicated VBAC. I have to be hooked to monitors the whole time so no tub, no walking around, pretty much stuck to the bed unless I can snag the ONE portable monitor they have. How did they do a multi million dollar reno and still only have one portable monitor for VBAC moms? I'm going to labor at home as long as I can I guess.
e: @pineconey AWESOME!! That must be such a huge relief for you both! Congratulations!!
So sweet: I just got a message from my husband's boss that they want to throw him a surprise baby shower and would love to have me there for the extra special surprise. Now, I have to drive out to the city, find parking, and figure out which office in huge building they own to go to, but it will be so worth it. I love when people love my husband as much as I do (almost as much).
Took our hospital tour today and we both actually got a little emotional! I can't wait for L&D!! I'm not nervous in the least, I'm so excited. And I love our hospital, one of the very best in the country. Did I mention how irrationally excited I am to push this kid out of my body? Third time now, I'm nearly a professional human manufacturer.

Not cool re: the monitor thing. I'm looking for a potentially unmedicated VBAC as well. I hope you get the portable monitor!

Shower tomorrow! So excited! I couldn't help myself from sneaking a peak at my registries to see whats been purchased. Terrible I know, I just can't help it!
Hope all you ladies have a wonderful weekend and (((hugs))) to all having a rough time.
AWing my adorable husband...I'm sitting here reading my HypnoBirthing book and he's reading Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. What a lovely afternoon!
Good god I love this man. Happy Saturday all!
Your house looks like a magazine...i'm insanely jealous.
Nooooo! DH has started talking about buying his new gaming rig in earnest now because our next paycheck is going to be massive (it includes his yearly bonus and a couple other things). I'm letting him win this one because he got a big promotion this year so he has earned a little spoiling... But that, ladies, is the sound of $4000 flying right out the window. (

I know! I knowww! He gets a new one every couple of years because gaming is pretty much his only hobby. I don't "get it" (I hate spending money -- I get more joy out of having a little extra padding in the bank account), but he works hard for our income and provides for me and now two babies so I definitely feel like he deserves to enjoy the extra when we can afford it. It only really destroys my soul because the last time we bought one it burned out on us and we had to completely replace it out of pocket (DH hadn't purchased the extended warranty or something, can't recall the details). One ridiculously expensive computer for the price of two. My brain nearly exploded.

Having to wear DH's gi-frickin'-normous hunting boots today because my feet are too swollen to fit into the only pair of shoes I have right now. I'm sure watching my exaggerated waddle due to oversized shoes is hilarious for those who get to witness it, but it's exacerbating my SPD because I have to pick my feet up higher than normal. x.x Ow!

September Siggy Challenge: What I Sing in the Shower: Little Mermaid "Part Of That World"
@mrscrcalli Nothing specifically, but I'm just not a big spender! I tend to get small things here and there. Mostly what I get in return is the freedom to be a SAHM (which I do enjoy, even though it is hard work at times) and on the rare occasions where I do make some sort of purchase it's technically on his dime (including our vacations--going on a cruise this October!). Don't get me wrong; I don't ultimately mind the purchase. It's just that ever since getting married and having kids the budget switch got flipped in my head and spending money makes me anxious! My mind always goes straight to bills and debts, which makes it difficult to enjoy luxury spending. Adulthood sucks!

Do you get to enjoy the gaming device too? It sounds like a very inventive piece of equipment..
That's how my DH is with his gadgets and suits he spends more than i do on his clothes lol

Or a nice long trip to the beach!?
What kind of gaming system is this???
A computer for online gaming. You could get an amazing one for half the price, but he likes to go for all the most modern bells and whistles. That's what freaking sucks about technology purchases. You pay an arm and a leg to have the top-of-the-line gear and then they come out with something better in a matter of months. To DH it's worth it because he's vain about having what's "the best" at the time. To me, it's just like: you realize they're going to come out with something better in 6 months and the price on this is gonna crash right?
@jellysparkles That is me, exactly! I have buyers remorse over everything, even a grocery trip. I think the closest I come to not having anxiety over a luxury purchase is our vacations.
@mrscrcalli It's not a total loss to me. I play the same games he does (we play together), so when he gets a new computer I "upgrade" to his old one. "Old" is a relative term in this case though. When I say his "old" one I'm talking about a very nice computer that is only a year or two old. To me it's like getting a brand new computer because I don't give two fucks about what the most recent technology is.
