@jancandance, I'm NOT taking sides (like that matters from a lurker), but you lie about not saying things about babies. I've seen you say sweet things about lots of babies on here.
Uh, no. You are very, very wrong.
Cheerleader/cronie/mean since screen name change signing off.
P.S- Preppy, why don't you crawl back under the bridge where you dwell.
Wait what, @CindyRelluh ? I wasn't knocking your girl. I've seen her say lots of sweet things about the babies on this board.
We are weaners! Swaddle weaners that is. I was fully planning on swaddling4lyfe with Lilly. But, she's now on night 6 of just a sleep sack after a gradual step down (about a month of switching one arm out every night and a couple of weeks of just around the belly)
@melohdy I was just wondering how you were doing with the swaddle. Happy to hear the good news
@tiffletons518 Geez! That is crazy late, you couldn't be pregnant could you?!
We got H fixed when I was pregnant, and he went back to make sure his boys were in fact rendered useless. I didn't have a period for 8 months before I got pregnant with Max. Since I have had him.. it took forever to start, and then I was 8 days late, then 9 days... and now I'm up to 12 days with no sign of aunt flo. I've started having night sweats again. My body hates me. Lol. My doc said if I get to where I'm totally missing them again to come see him. My family history doesn't bode well for me at the age I'm approaching. A few women have had hysterectomies in their 30s. My aunt had just turned 30. I will be 30 in May. Super fun for me.
@huckleberry08 That's lame. I was getting really bad hot flashes and night sweats for a while. I used to sleep in my workout clothes that wick the moisture away. Lol. Temping isn't anything that ever would've crossed my mind. I see a doc appointment in my future though. Also, I LOVE consignment sales!! Enjoy and hope you find some good deals!
@libberluru Super pissed. I hope it gets it together soon too. This is getting old already.
Ugh, I think we may be hitting a sleep regression. For the last two months we've been doing one wake up around 5, and it was great. Last week she added in a midnight wake up and now she just woke up at 3 after getting up at midnight too.
Looks like H will be needed for a couple nights of retraining. I can't function with too many wake ups (last fall was miserable) and I am not going to be an all night buffet.
I don't think she's teething.
This happened to us, too. Once we retrained her , she dropped the MOTN wake up. GL!!
So apparently I just needed to talk about it. I started this morning almost 2 weeks late. Between that and all the sleep I did not get last night, I feel a bit like death warmed over. Thank goodness I was useful yesterday because I'm not doing anything today.
we went out last night for an hour and left LO with my brother. We came home to a crying baby who would not let me out of his sight. Last night was awesome, between William crying, DH snoring and the cats being total nut jobs I managed no sleep. Oh and DH just said to me "at least you got to watch some live Olympics". yep, how lucky am I that I got to watch hours of curling.

A few days ago a friend of ours posted "Why is it that female curlers are the hottest athletes?". I was at the store. When I got home, H was watching curling. Lol. I will agree that this velcro baby thing is really starting to wear me out. I need a vacation. Maybe to Canada so our babies can wear each other out, and we can drink obscene amounts of coffee.
So we are down to only one wake up a night which is really amazing. The funny thing is all he can do is sit. No rolling, pushing up for like a minute if he's feeling especially ambitious and no pulling up, creeping, crawling, no teeth etc.. so basically I'm super psyched he's so behind right now so I can get some sleep. I'm dreading that all of the milestones will hit at once now though... Sorry for all the sleep regression babies and hope baby giggle is over the bad hump! Our friend's son had a similar sounding virus 2 weeks ago and he went to the ER twice- fever up to 106! It was really scary but he is fine now, it just took a while to run its course!
Also I watched Teen Mom 2 this morning while working out (patting myself on the back for working out before the kids got up!) and I kept getting annoyed when they used the word "good" instead of "well." Kind of a ridiculous thing to notice in that train wreck of uneducated people kind of show. Like maybe I could focus on how awful having a heroin charge on your record would be and not her grammar.

I have a friend who does this sort of thing and I find it makes me twitch a little. I'm not usually crazy about that sort of thing, but when somebody asks her how dinner was and she says "It was real good!" I want to just comment, no. No it wasn't.
Relatedly, most of this stuff needs a serious cleaning. Usually I go for a vinegar solution, but this may call for bleach. Anybody know what the bleach to water ratio is for disinfecting toys?
I don't know the ratio, but I have used Clorox Anywhere Bleach when I ran out of Seventh Generation spray. Anywhere Bleach is supposed to be safe around food so that's what I use for my refrigerator and I also read I can use it for toys too.
@tiffletons518 I did an IRL friend inventory and realized of my 6 close girlfriends we all have at least a masters degree. And my husband is a writer and editor. I don't think I meant to but I may have dropped some people from my life because they didn't have the grammar skillz.
@calikat80 Ha. My biggest one is they're/there/their and your/you're. I actually posted writing homework from my second grader and was a bragging bragger who brags about how she used you're/your correctly. 7 years old folks and she gets it.
+1 for team clingy. she gets mad when I'm in the kitchen and she's in her highchair in the doorway to the kitchen. apparently I'm not close enough.
+2 My husband has started following me around holding the baby so his 'proximity alarm' wouldn't go off...really thought I was going to lose my mind this weekend. Mama needs a minute!
So I just peeped at my SIL registry and I cringed. I had no idea I had an inner control freak but I want to call her up and help her out. I usually am very laid back and I know in my head that she will figure it out and get what they need in the end but I am feeling all smug because apparently now I am now an expert since I have kept this kid alive for 9 months. Can I blame hormones? Or is it too late for that?
Funny you say this because one of my cousins is pregnant and she said she was overwhelmed registering. I told her I would send her an email with some of my favorite necessary baby items. It turned into an essay really quick. It was way over the top and she never responded
