@JessieAlbin and I know there there are so.e situations where it is going to be a drama bomb PITA, which sucks btw

I had a friend who went to go look at apartments and when she opened the bedroom closet there was a baby in there. The person showing the apartment didnt say anything and just closed the closet and went on showing the apartment... Talk about weird.

I know lots of people who put baby in closet the last place we lived. Not the first baby, usually, but if they were on #2 or #3, then yeah, they slept in the closet. But not in a carseat, and they were walk-in closets.

Am I crazy to think at 3 months old my baby is not going to need long sleeved onesies because it will be July and upwards of 85 degrees here? My MIL won't stop buying shit. She can't resist a good deal, but I'm not putting a turtle neck onesie on my kid in July!

ETA: I've told her to stop shopping and tht we have way too much, but she won't!

I wish I could! She takes tags off and washes them before she gives them to us "it's helpful."

Total ftm here but someone suggested to me that I hold on to a few because what I think is comfortable is cold to a newborn. I pretty much live in A/C during the summer and most places I go keep it cold. So maybe they aren't a terrible idea? Although I wouldn't use turtlenecks. Maybe just long sleeves

Typically people start filtering out, but a much smaller group of people remains. It doesn't implode, but it slows down a lot after a while. I still do participate some on my S12 BMB though.

I'm giving mine a little home made spa gift box. I made lavender bath salts, sugar scrub and a foot soak. I also added some nail polish, an organic loofah and one of those foot scrub things. Simple but a good gift!

@FTMapril14 I gave the hostess from my first shower a Better Homes wax warmer and wax cubes. They loved it. Wasn't too over the top or expensive either.

@mamamonzo - DS1 was wearing the Carter's 3m onesies after the first month, so Mayish maybe? I probably wouldn't do long sleeves when I have them out and it's hot, just throw a blanket on them in the carseat in the car or when you go in somewhere with A/C.

I've told her, it may not be the right season, but thanks anyway! She says "I got it for .50 I just couldn't help it!" She bought a 6 month Santa suit for the baby when he'll be 8 months in December. We may have to stuff him in it just to make her happy!

Stays pretty active but slows down a lot. At around half a year becomes much, much smaller. After a year+, it's usually down to ~50 active people, with some boards more active. Honestly, it just depends. Some boards practically dry up entirely while others are the opposite.

I'm actually loving where my old BMB is at right now. We're getting to around the 1.5 year old babies mark, so there are a number of BFP threads popping up. I was never as involved with S12 as I am with A14 because I was a Bump newbie back then, but it's still really nice to see and participate in.

I'm having the worst day ever. I woke up and received horrible news from my sister. My cousin was stabbed to death in his sleep, this morning, by his girlfriend, in New Orleans. It's still under investigation. Thanks to the snow and ice, his body can't be moved to N.C. right now, where our family grave is. I still can't believe it.

@mamamonzo You may just end up having to donate the clothes that won't work for the season. You can't help it that you have already suggested you have a lot of clothes and she continues to buy. Not much you can do when the tags are off and the clothes are washed. Don't feel badly if you don't use them.

Unfortunately it's not the exact position that I was hoping for (I just finally interviewed on Monday for that, and they've got it posted both here in CO and out in PA, and are still doing interviews in PA), it's one of the call center positions - so the pay and scheduling are gonna SUCK...but SOME paycheck is better than NO paycheck! So yay for even a little money rolling in! It's also with Comcast (same company as the other one I really want), so there's still the remote possibility that I could kiss the right ass to get my seniority back.

Andplusalso, I hope that my need to go out for, like, a week or two to have this kid won't affect my ability to keep the job (at-will employment state and being within my 90 day probationary period and all). The job won't start until 2/24, so I'm still clinging to the hope that they'll decide I'm "the one" for that other analyst role, and I'll get to do that instead. Fingers crossed!!

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I may take a Bump hiatus until the case is solved or when we are finally able to have the funeral. I feel even worse for my aunt, his brother, his children, and his dad. They aren't taking it well, especially the children. I just wish there were more details, since she's still being questioned and hasn't been booked.
