  • I am using my final can of Rainbow Chip frosting before it expires. What a bittersweet thing :/

I have 4 cans that expire in March. I went a little overboard when I found out it was discontinued. I opened one the other day to eat with graham crackers, but I need to start making cakes...must not waste!

  • A friend of mine is in denial about her three BFNs. She's late by two weeks and claims she read online that women can still be pregnant and get negative hpts. I told her that it would be positive if she's two weeks late. She's acting a little nuts and demanding her doctor give her a blood test but I guess the nurses are being rude about it (shocker). Unless you test really early, a hpt should be positive if you really were KU right?

I'm jealous. I tried to go buy a bunch when I found out it was being discontinued but couldn't find any around where I live. I even had my mom go look at stores in Idaho with no luck! I'm sad I probably have tasted my last rainbow chip cupcake and had no idea at the time.

Yea. I mean, there's always some weirdo with a story about how they never tested positive. But, honestly, negative and two weeks late? Not pregnant.

My first one was negative but I can't remember when I tested, I want to say it was right at two weeks. but going off and demanding a blood test is a bit extreme... I'm a just wait and see kind of girl.

hehe...not calling you a weirdo. I mean more the type of people who tell stories that they didn't ever test positive :-)

A FB friend from high school (really more a friend of a friend) posted her ultrasound picture yesterday. She's due 12/6, which she didn't announce but I can zoom in on all the private info she left on the image. Announcing that early isn't my style but whatever. . .she also posted about her coat not fitting and not being able to park close enough to her job (snow/ice issues) yesterday too. :-?

Today she posts about telling her kindergarten class kids about the baby in her tummy. She is like 6 weeks?! I want to know what's her plan if things end badly. Perhaps I'm being too sensitive, but this screams bad idea to me.

I had a GF do the exact same thing a few months back. She was like 5 wks and "officially announced" on fb. Fortunantly, everything worked out for her, but at the time I thought she was crazy. I was nervous for her! We didn't tell anyone but our parents until like 16wks!

  • I took my first test at like three days late (my boys-only bachelorette party was the next day and I wanted to make sure), I took it late at night, and it STILL came back with a faint positive.  I would think she's not, but I would try to be supportive and let her find out for herself.  But yeah, probably not pregnant this month :(

Wait... 12/6 isn't a possible due date at this point. Someone who conceived today would be due in early November (and wouldn't even know they were pregnant). Did you mean 10/6?

I know, I know...it's mean. But this baby has been roundhousing my left side all day long and I think I might lose it. :-/ I won't really poke her in April, I promise.

  • DH is too busy running errands to eat at home tonight... which means I don't have to cook dinner!  And promised to bring me home a cupcake.  Winning!!!
  • I need to stop buying stuff for this kid.  I just spent another $40 on clothing just because it looked like a good deal....MUST.....WAIT......UNTIL.....AFTER.....SHOWER!!!!

  • I literally announced on FB at 29 weeks by causally posting a picture. Of course all of our close friends and family already knew but we didn't even tell most of them until closer to 12/13 weeks. Id be nervous for someone announcing so early!
  • Oh....and I just remembered that I bought a changing pad earlier today because the one on our registry was half off and I thought that was a good deal too.  Online shopping is way too easy, I may have a problem....

I feel you on this one. I went crazy at Baby Gap when I couldn't sleep one night (in my defense, I also had two coupons that were expiring) and I'm a little ashamed because I shipped everything to work...and it's arriving piece-by-piece! It's kind of exciting for me, but also embarrassing every time the front desk calls me to let me know a package has arrived for me. I love online shopping.

When I see this stuff on my fb feed I irrationally see red. I know it's envy that I will never feel confident and be that naive about early pregnancy ever, but still.
I'm not even PGAL and this makes me extremely nervous when I see it. I had a friend announce at 4 weeks, as soon as she got BFP. I was a few weeks ahead of her and hadn't announced yet at all. Everything ended up ok, but, its just so worrisome! And announcing to school kids? Seems really risky.
This.  We waited (besides my mom) until 12w to tell everyone and I am not PGAL either.  I totally understand how exciting it is but it is such a scary thought to have to un-tell people.
Same. Not PGAL, but we told DH's family at something like 12w, then my family and Facebook at closer to 15w.

This is what took me so long to join The Bunp. I didn't want to join early just in case things didn't go well.
The bump has an awesome support system for losses, TTC after loss, and being pg after loss. It seems like an odd place to look on a pregnancy website for loss support but these boards are awesome for those who need them.
This is very true. I found so much support on the Miscarriage and TTCAL boards. They were a big help in my healing.

@Vinny424 I realize that now after reading women's stories and how they coped in the RTT the first few months I joined. The boards listed seemed to help all affected. I think it's amazing that people can find time to help complete strangers without judging.

I am, however, pretty excited about it. :) They paid for a photo session for our baby girl with one of the best photographers around here! Haha I feel kind of silly for worrying so much now and letting my imagination run rampant with crazy possibilities. Can you blame me though!?
HUGE sigh of relief!  CONGRATULATIONS!  that is so so so much fun and nice because it is freeeee!  My imagination would have gone there, too.  Maybe they are just warming you up ;)  jk jk

  • @poru They probably definitely are. I just don't wanna think about it! :P

@KatieGummow Haha I know! I'm looking forward to it. They said we'll get to take pictures with her which is something I've never seen done with newborn pictures. :) And yeah.. You're probably right! lol
