I'm sorry Stace! Maybe he just needs some time to process and then he will come out to you. I know I get quiet sometimes. Most of the times it's because I'm just in a blah mood but other times it's just because I'm not ready to talk about it yet. Don't stress too much!
So we got DSD at 6. She didn't want anything to eat, has a stomach ache, she had a fever of 100.2. We gave her Tylenol and Gatorade and a shower. She's been laying with DH for an hr and a half now reading books and playing on the iPad. He tells her to come say goodnight to me (fever now 101.4) she walks out and says she's hungry. I told her it's past dinner time and she is going to have some more to drink and get some sleep now. She said okay and walked away. DH came out and asked why he can't give her some rice. I said starve a fever feed a cold. She said all along she's not hungry, it's late, she needs to go to sleep. You can clean up her puke then. I said it's your choice, he walked away saying no, not it's not. He just came back out and got her rice. I hope she pukes all over him. WHY bother asking my opinion?!? He does this all the time. FYI buddy, when this baby's born, my opinion will matter. UGH!!!!!!
I'm so grumpy.

It's actually an old wives tale that you should starve a fever and feed a cold. It's probably a good thing that your DSD gets a little nutritious food in her stomach if she is feeling hungry. I hope she is feeling better in the morning!
@Vinny424 Happy Birthday! I hope you got some cake today even if it wasn't from your boss.
@deidremaria I wish you lived by me and could teach me your crafty ways! I love all of the things you've done.

@LoriMc12 thanks girl! I wish I lived by you too so I could have bump dates and a craft partner. Also if I lived somewhere on the mainland there'd be no limits to my projects. The thrift store finds here are pretty limited.
@MegCZapla sorry, but I'm with your husband. I would have given the sick child some food. I understand dinner time rules, but when you're sick you don't always feel hungry when it's time to eat.

Am I the only person who would probably tell my ex that I wanna keep my kid home when sick and offer to switch weekends? I haven't even met my baby yet and I couldn't imagine being away from him/her while they're sick.
@jellysparkles It's been about about 18 years since I knew anything about cos/tan/sin. I have to admit that I did love trig at the time but now it's all greek to me.

CRAP!! my favorite pair of skinny jeans (the ones i wear 80% of the time) have two huge rips in the butt! it's not even on a seam or anything... it's just smack in the middle of my butt, as though a cat was hanging from my cheeks by its claws.
greeeeeeaaattt. i am so not not replacing these jeans. people are just going to have to come to terms with seeing slivers of my underwear for the next 7 weeks
DH just told me to figure out what kind of cars I want to test drive. Mine is currently an old reliable zippy little two-door that I love but is completely unsuitable for a car seat. DH's isn't much better, although it has four doors so we can put a seat in there in a pinch. Anyway, he wants to cash in on the president's day sales, so I gotta start shopping.
We want to get the big family car now; seven seater, three rows, and we're not fans of mini-vans, even though I do want to check out the Odyssey. Two deal breakers for me: the third row has to be comfortable for adults to sit in, and has to fold down super easily for extra storage. Who has a big car try love? TIA.

Don't let your step son come over because his brother is sick and he could potentially get sick....This is why step moms have bad names.
Yeah totally a cop out to have a weekend without him is what it sounded like to me. She wouldn't send her daughter away if she was sick and stepson wasn't even sick, just potentially could get sick.
Fuuuuuck. Homework is killing me. I don't know anything about cos/tan/sin - Klingon would make more sense to me. DH is using his day off tomorrow to teach me basic trigonometry, he just doesn't know it yet.
...SOHCAHTOA. It's been far too long for me to remember much more than that. Hope your DH can help.
@Sisimama10 I'm way too hormonal/emotional for posts like that I just wanted to cry for that little boy. I'm sure he looks forward to his time with his dad, how disappointing for him. Total cop out!
@BiggerInRealLife I like my parents' Explorer - I've sat in the third row and it's not bad at all. I forget how the seats fold down, but I know they do and there's a good amount of storage. I can't speak to gas mileage, but I do know its easy to drive.
The most ridiculous thing just happened. I needed to burp, and sneeze, and cough. Instead I almost self combusted and sneeze-coughed and farted at the same time. I legitimately shouted WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WAS THAT, and DH almost fell off the couch laughing at me. Geezus.
I just got in trouble for laughing so loud at this because DH is trying to watch Die Hard... Insert eye roll!
AW. Best day today notwithstanding my sons failure to nap. Massage. Now headed to dinner. And I actually feel like I look hot even with these added 25 pounds.
We were planning on waiting until after the baby was ready to move into the nursery to set up the crib but today after baby class DH got all antsy to put it up so we spent all afternoon prepping the nursery. I'm pretty excited to AW a pic but i can't from my phone (that's why I never participate in HDBD) but i will when i get on a computer. Today was a good day! For some reason having the crib set up makes it really REAL!
DH and I watched a movie tonight and the little girl's name was Harper. Now he likes that better than Olivia. We've been calling her that since we knew she was a girl! I thought we had this all figured out! Ugh!
Also Fre makes alcohol free champagne and it is fantastic! We're drinking mimosas on the couch now and it's almost like the real thing.

This reminds me of a week or two ago when I had a random coughing fit which forced a burp out of me, and from the other room I hear my husband say, "... Did you just burp???" Then I start laugh-crying and coughing for the next 10 minutes.

I hate vans/minivans, but I love my MIL's Dodge Grand Caravan. Comfy, roomy, two middle seats for the little nieces' carseats (each side of the van slides open) and 3 across the back row for older people. The far back seats fold down, and if I remember right the center two can be taken out if more room is needed for moving furniture or something. I told DH if we ever feel like we need to get a minivan, we're getting one of those!

We are looking into suburbans. We need to fit our big dog, and if we go camping or to the lakehouse we can't have wimpy trunk space. I really want captain's chairs for the middle row, too.
