SS alert! I think I have finally figured out the difference between gas bubbles and baby kicks! I even felt some from the outside this morning, and something that felt like twirling or a roundhouse kick (when I texted my husband about it he made a Roadhouse joke. God I love him. We joked about naming the kid Swayze. RIP Patrick Swayze!).
Also, a question. Now that I got that out I don't think I'd have any reason to post an OMG Baby Kicks comment anywhere, but if I did, what post would it go in? I guess if this thread is sticking around it'd be this one again. I almost posted it in daily symptoms which I don't visit often, but most of those are 'negative' symptoms or scary symptoms and I thought it would be insensitive. Because it would.
Can you even call baby kicks a 'symptom'? I mean, they kind of are, but symptom doesn't sound right in relation.
Baby kicks are a symptom I think, a happy symptom but one none the less.

What does everyone feel about doing big brother/sister kits for older kids to take to the hospital or when baby comes home? What all would you include
I adore this idea! I would maybe do a doll (that matches the sex of new baby) and a few items so LO can take care of their baby when you are taking care of new baby. Possibly a book on what being a big brother/sister means- and how mommy/daddy still love them just as much. I would also do a special toy - something that is different from what they might normally get- to make them feel special and showered with love too.
Now that I think about this more- will likely do this for DS and have it at the hospital when he comes to meet new baby.
Before DH went into the gas station, he asked me what I wanted and I said decaf coffee. He came out with a Hershey's hot chocolate because they didn't have creamer. I'm loving this substitute.....him too lol.
I just need to get this off my chest... i lurk a lot on the tri boards and post stuff every now and then, but I hate seeing these mom's on the 3rd tri board who are so desperate to jump start labor. Like the ones who say " I'm 38 weeks and want to avoid being induced so what can I do to help induce labor?" Or the ones that are afraid of having a "big baby".... yahh these women drive me crazy! I get that it's exciting being so close to meeting their child, but why are you trying to hurry up the process?? I get that sometimes women do need to be induced or whatever for medical reasons. But if there's no harm in going a few days past your due date, what's the hurry?? If you can wait 40 weeks, a few extra days aren't going to kill you!

They get flamed over there for that, I hope?
Don't get me wrong, I don't want a big baby. I mean the smaller the thing coming out of mg vag the better, BUT I want this little guy to stay put as long as possible!! Bake baby bake!!!
SS Alert: Guys, feeling the baby move and kick is cool and all, but it's nowhere near as fun as when my husband feels it. It's like a five minute reaction and post-okay review each time.
@collydon see above because I needed to tag and cant edit.
Mine went back to normal after about a half hour.
Why in the world do you have 3 Ls in your name. You probably never get tagged properly.
My nickname is coll and my last name use to be lydon hence the 3 Ls. I didn't think it through. It has been a giant PITA. Oh well what's done is done. Hey your avatar came back!
Aw, a nice end to a stressful day: DH just felt the babies for the first time (well, at least one :-)). It is crazy; normally I feel them one at a time, but I think today I could feel both, since I am getting kicks in two totally different places. It feels so weird having twins!
This lo will share a birthday with DS (most likely). I just hope they see it as an extra bond and not something to compete over
My boy and girl cousins share the same birthday, 6 years apart. They are going on vacation this year together to celebrate I don't think it's ever been a competition. Their sister's bday who is 3 years between them is only 12 days later.
ETA: I always wondered what was so special in my aunt and uncle's life 3 months later...hahaha
I'm usually a mobile app user, but use the main site sometimes... can someone fill me in on how to add the "my baby is the size of a..." to my signature?! I'm feeling SUPER left out and kinda jealous...
@lizardbreath14 that is too cute! Nephews are the best! My sister told my nephew that Auntie Jen has a baby in her belly and the baby is named Charlie. The other day he went to her and said his Charlie was bugging him and was rubbing his belly. He doesn't stop talking about his Charlie! I can't wait for him to meet her

Totally random question. How long does it take to eat a bagel? DS took LITERALLY 30 minutes to eat his bagel this morning. I swear I started to see mold growing on it. If he misses the bus, imma be pissed! X(
not sure about non pregos, but I can down one really quick, embarrassingly so lol

Go to the sticky at the top of the forum, open up the blog, and find where it has help for your 'siggy' or signature. She's got great instructions there!

DS was our 2nd anniversary gift and based on the timing, LO would be our 4th. I have a feeling our 6th anniversary will not involve any amorous interactions, just to be sure
