So we had our last hypnobirthing class the other day and since then, I haven't been able to stop thinking about how much work is involved for DH! Seriously, I'll be focusing on pushing out this baby, but he has the huge responsibility of talking me through it all and trying to keep me calm! I don't envy him. And I'm feeling all kinds of grateful this morning that he is so awesome.
I feel like a potty training 3 year old! I feel the need to tell everyone when I can finally poop! Just text DH to let him know... His response "I'm so proud of you". Lol it's the small things in life.
@Mamamonzo I have relayed very similar messages to my DH. He knows full well my bowel movements by now

So I packed up all my crap and went to the quilt store for my weekly group (the only time I ever get anything done) and I'm the only one here. Whomp Whomp. Maybe this baby will actually have this quilt if this keeps up... I forgot little old ladies don't drive in cold/snow/anything... And yes, I hang out with little old quilting ladies. Judge me, because I do...

Haha. I feel that's how the girls are in my uterus. For most of my ultrasounds it looks like A is kicking B in the head.
I know right? My A was doing the same thing to B. Eventually he turned breech as well, but someone has turned again and someone will surely come out with brain damage
I'm here!!! No work today so snuggling my dog on the couch watching extreme couponing. Also he has fish breath.
The other day I mentioned to my husband that our dog's breath smelled like shit. Literal shit, not just bad.
Last night I let him out to pee and stood by the window and watched him for fun. Little fucker was following little rabbit prints in the snow and eating every rabbit turd he could find, one little ball at a time.
Mystery solved!
My oldest dog is being weird. Instead of sleeping on the bed with us he's been sleeping in his crate or - even weirder - the bathroom. This dog has a huge fear of the bathroom, so that's super odd, and he's a HUGE comfort mooch, so it's totally out of character for him to willingly give up cuddles. When we got the king bed at Christmas he and younger dog thoroughly enjoyed both being able to curl up between me and DH instead on one with us, one at the feet. But now my snoogle is taking up the space they normally occupy. Younger dog doesn't mind perching on the snoogle, and looks like snoopy on top of his doghouse. Oldest dog would rather be on me, which isn't happening right now. So I'm trying to figure out if he's protesting being ousted from his covered spot curled up in my belly, or if he's trying to stay warm. (Usually when he's snuggled with me he's also under the covers on cold nights.) Either way I don't like it and it's making me worry about him!

That's so stressful! Odds are you are reading too much in to it, but if I were you I would be doing the same thing. Definitely keep an eye on him and his eating/drinking habits. Gosh, why are dogs so lovable and amazing?! They know how to pull at our heartstrings.

You're a twin! Oh my gosh, tell me about it.
1. Are you identical?
2. Were you separated at school/sports or kept together? Did you like it?
3. Anything else?
(edit: I added a tag)
We are identical and love it. The first time we were separated was in pre K because the teacher told my mom we didn't socialize with the other kids. We were devastated. My mom was one of those a moms who had us do a lot of the same things. Took her a while to realize that my sissy and I are different. I love being a twin, even when she drives me nuts. Be prepared to hear your girls giggle A LOT (half the time you'll never know what's so funny). My family insists that my sister and I have a secret language but we think they're all nuts. Also be prepared for them to always seem to be against you and their dad.
My sister got stopped by a stranger asking what her twins were (boy and a girl who are ALWAYS dressed very gender specific). Are they identical??? (Biologically impossible) Is it hard work? You must be exhausted! Is the father in the picture?
Geez. Having babies sounds like an episode of the Kardashians.
Wow...since late afternoon yesterday my LO has been super active. I'm 30 weeks now. I wasn't able to get an even amount of sleep. It's now 9:42am and going to work in a few mins. I guess I better get used to it.
@KatieGummow oh oh oh and my mom said that we were very different as babies. My sissy was super social and playful and I was very quiet and to myself. Only my mom, dad, grandma, and sometimes big sister could get a smile out of me. She said my sister would bug me sometimes and I'd scream.
deidremaria, hearing this makes me so so excited, thank you for sharing It sounds like being a twin is so much fun! If you think of any more tips don't be afraid to let me know, I am willing to take all the advice I can get.
I just saw the update on the news today. I am glad they got to the bottom of it. Too bad there is no eye-for-an-eye in our system, though hopefully prison will help with that.
DH was told to take a PTO day since they are super slow at work. Luckily, he stayed up until 5am and is snoring next to me right now. We don't need him seeing how lazy I've actually been the past week, so I'm just going to sneak into the living room and pretend I've been doing productive stuff all morning.
But for realz, this baby is totally draining all my energy lately. All I want to do is eat and sleep, then wake up and eat again!!

Hahahah, I totally know what you mean! I am tired all the time, and am worried that when I stay home in two weeks all DH will see me doing is sleeping, watching TV, reading, and eating. What baby wants baby gets!
Thinking about all the LO who are feeling under the weather today!
It's noon here and I have officially been up for 12 hours and at work for 10 of them. Not sure how people work 3rd shifts. I'm leaving now to go back to bed. I-)
Pee pee teepee's are adorable, but completely useless. They pee and shoot them right off. Use a washcloth instead. Cheaper, and generally has enough weight to stay held down if they do start peeing.
Just got the quote back on splitting our huge master bedroom. $3500. Way more than I was expecting. Not sure what we'll do now. DH is busy at work and just forwarded it with no comments, and isn't replying.
I should have eaten a bigger lunch before my prenatal appt... Starving! But I sure do love my OB office. I have the same nurse every time and she is so sweet and adorable, last time she told me she and her husband are finally expecting after years of trying. I was gonna be so bummed if she wasn't working today!

This makes me feel much better! I think I'm finally getting excited about the twins. I was excited before but I think I was freaking out too much to let me get really excited.
Mom to 10 year old DS and 7 year old DD. Twin girls coming soon!
Work is redoing all of our photos on our website. I am an attorney, so they need to look professional. They scheduled said photos for the end of February. I have asked my firm not to do them (my photo is fine right now on our website) and said I would pay to have them done when I return from maternity leave. I said I didn't want my professional photos to be taken while I am 8 months pregnant.
People gave me a really hard time -- acting like I was being self-pitying and thinking I don't look good. "Its only boobs up, your belly won't show, you are glowing, you look great, yada yada". They don't understand that (a) I think I look fine, that's not the problem, (b) I think I look pregnant (hormonal chubby cheeks, brown mask of pregnancy, round boobs too big for my frame). And I don't want my professional pics to show me looking pregnant. I know people won't "know" that I am pregnant, but I feel like I give off a maternal vibe right now in photos, when the vibe I want to give off on our website is a sophisticated, strong and capable business woman.
Am I being silly?
I don't think you are! I won't get a replacement for my drivers license because of everything you mentioned! I bet you do look beautiful, but if you're uncomfortable, I say wait.

I think the way you just stated your case here about why you want to wait hints at what a great attorney you are.
Honestly though I think you are right. In a perfect world that little bit of image control would be unnecessary but your reasoning is realistic and well thought out. The very fact that people are dismissing you based on an idea of what your hormones and emotions are doing to your decisions is kind of proof that you are right. Stand your ground, I say.
