  • Oh and if I'm going to be a completely honest.. I haven't done the plank challenges since day 1. I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm lazy and bleeehhh. Might as well take me off the list, @Jalee! I'm a failure!

  • After feeding every 2 hours again last night, I may be looking forward to 6 months to start sleep training.....

Why does my cutie need to be a piggy?

  • I finally have one, although it's kinda lame...it was pretty fun though. Last weekend we went out for my cousins birthday. At one of the bars we ran into my sisters ex-bf, who is a total doucher. He kept trying to talk to her and bought us rounds of shots, probably to keep us from pulling her away. I got sick of him so while I gladly took the shots he bought, my cousin and I put our drinks on his tab ;) That's what ya get for pretending to throw around money and being a skeezy creeper to my sister.

Side bar: just one of the creepy things he did...after they broke up and my sister got back with her current bf, he blew up her phone (like 50+ calls) in the middle of the night and she didn't answer. He GOOGLED my parents house number and called that twice at like 3am to try to track down my sister because he thought she was with a guy. Umm ok weird. Oh, and he's 35, but clearly acts like a 15 yr old girl...

I get called out in the planking thread daily and maybe do them every other day.
    *cough* or every third day.

I think we posted this at the same time! Although you are still doing better than me! Can we be slackers together?

  • Every night when I am up multiple times and spending an hour or two getting DD back to sleep, I consider just turning off the monitor and letting her cry because I'm so tired. I even tell her I'm going to do it if she doesn't stay asleep after X amount of attempts of putting her down. I never do, but I always think about it as leave my cozy bed.

  • Oh and @tyrannosaurusbeck! Although you win because you are at least doing a lot of exercise! It's funny that we all posted that at the same time. I've been thinking about it all week. I feel like people can see me not doing the exercises because my name gets called out! So guilty.

  • I've been reading awesome books instead of napping with tilly during the day. That does not stop me from complaining to my husband that I "just couldn't sleep today for some reason." And heading to bed extra early.

Also I've never made guacamole from scratch before. Trying it tonight and bizarrely nervous about it.

My 19 year old sister is preg and not giving a care in the world, like she doesn't even know where she's going to live. And every time my mom or I ask her about it she's a total bitch. She pretty much says how annoying we are for being concerned. The baby daddy is really piece of shit too. I can not wait for her to struggle and realize what an idiot she has been!

Yesterday my husband went shopping with our LO. He was so excited he bought her several outfits including two sleeveless dresses. I didn't want to burst his bubble by telling him he should have gotten them larger since theyre sleeveless, While he's at work I'm going to go back and try to exchange them for bigger sizes without telling him.
Or you could put a cardigan on her!
You're right. I think that would be more fair.

  • Ok. FFFC (slash) UO. Whatevs.

I major side eye posters who say "they are starting solids soon because their LO is interested in watching you/Dh eat". What about the fact that your baby is starting to see further and further and is interested in everything?  My baby loves watching the water run in the sink, should I give him water soon? Um, no. He also looks at the dog the same way... Also, the "my baby is 3m and showing signs of being ready for solids soon".  How exactly is your three month old showing signs of being ready?  Come on- I just don't buy that there are signs at 3m that a baby is ready for any solids anytime soon.
Next time why don't you just call me out?
i thought we were done pussyfooting around on this board.

I also said we are still researching on what we want to and handle it. From what I understand on baby led weaning, the only thing my baby isn't doing yet is grabbing food off my plate as far as signs and can still improve on sitting up with support. But before you know it she will be doing those probably in the next few weeks.

would you rather I be prepared so we can make smart decisions or be a dumbass and just start with hot dogs?

Your post reminded me of the FFFC- your not the only one. Theres been several who've said it. So I felt no need to call you out directly. It's been on my confessionals list for a few weeks now and your post just sparked my memory. I totally agree that being prepared is smart, I just find it hard to believe that your 3m old is sitting up well without support, the tongue-trust reflex is gone, and baby is truly interested in foods. Like I said, your not the only one.

I'm starting solids soon because the latest research supports "tastes" at 4 months.  Our pediatrician agrees.  With DS2 and DD3 we waited 6 and 7 months... but I feel comfortable with the research to start early.  (4 months)

Some babies are making chewing motions, sitting up well, and are reaching for food.  To each his own.

Well that's fair. Your timing was just um close.
She needs to work on sitting up still, but every day she is making improvements. It's one of those I will probably wake up one day and she is ready to go.

she is enjoying licking everything. She will sit in my lap and be happy just licking my arm. It is sooo weird..

I just realized I sound like a douche saying I only gained 11 lbs. Just as an FYI I never lost the 50 from DS and am over 200lbs.

I was back down to 7lb over pre-pg weight when I came home from the hospital (still over 200lbs too) and gained another 10 while LO was in the NICU :( Super sad panda...

Also, I am waking A up to go downstairs to play because the Fresh Prince is on and I freakin love that show. Plus, Full House follows it so she gets her life lessons from them.

Same here! And DS giggles at full house. Hehe. Cracks me up.
