Awe, thanks everyone. I know that there's going to be a time when I'll tell him how he was conceived, but it doesn't matter. He's no less of a person as a result. I know that people that feel that way are far and few between. I'm done with letting an 18 year old ass with zero life experience get under my skin. She would have been too weak to go through IVF. I mean, injecting yourself with needles in your stomach and ass for weeks isn't for everyone, right?
We lost my grandpa unexpectedly a year ago today. I remember it like it was yesterday. It makes me sad that Grayson will never get to meet his great grandpa or experience first hand just how awesome he was. My grandpa passed before we found out it was a boy and he would have been thrilled to know. I sometimes imagine Grayson playing with his great grandpa. Grayson would have loved him!
Thanks guys!! On a happier note, Grayson has been napping in his crib for an hour now! During this time I have hung up all the clothes that have been sitting in baskets for a week, cleaned up Grayson's room, and pulled out all of his 12 month clothes so they are ready to go!
Omg, I'm staaaaaarving. I'm sitting in my car bumping because LO is napping. My H is in Men's Wearhouse getting fitted for 2, yes 2, tuxes for weddings he is in. We just went to our first music class. Frankie loved it! She was smiling and excited the whole time.
@pinkpuffyheart2 I hear you on being blah cause of the rain. Same weather here, plus tornado warnings fun! Not. Anyways good news I have is I get to go see all my family in OR in June. By that point it will have been almost 3 years since I've seen extended family on my side !!!! Yay
N started legit crawling this week. It has really messed with her naps - has anyone else had this problem with crawling? She can't just lay in her crib when she could be crawling around in her crib.
@pinkpuffyheart2 we will be celebrating my hubbies and LOs bdays out there with my family. Hubby turns the big 3-0 this year so we are throwing a surprise birthday party for him as well as a 1st bday party for Jameson . So freaking excited!!!!
Omg @riansmommie we are total twinsies! My h is 30 this year too and he shares a bday with LO so I was thinking of a surprise party for h while we have LO's 1st.
I did a 30 days of 30 for H and recruited friends and family to give him or do something for him every day for the 30 days leading up to his birthday...as an idea!
We're great!! Gordon is such a busy baby - DH and I love watching my belly as he rolls around and kicks. At 27w1d my fundal height measured at 28 weeks, which isn't a shock because he's measuring a full week ahead. We had a checkup and glucose test on Thursday, and we're doing so well. My weight gain is slow and minimal, no gestational diabetes, blood pressure is fantastic, my iron level is good, and Gordon is big and strong with a super healthy heart. Only complaint at the moment is my ear infection - it's awful, but no need for antibiotics, so I'm trooping through and my DH is spoiling me (as he always does). Our hospital's medical imaging department chose us for a free 4D scan on January 24th for educational purposes because Gordon is always so easy for them to view, and then our baby shower is going to be on the 25th. So much to look forward to. My DH and I were recently offered roles in Les Miserables for performances in May. He's going to be Jean Valjean and I'll be Madame Thenardier. My parents have already agreed to babysit backstage so I can nurse the baby between scenes.
How are you all doing here? I'm loving all of your cuties' 6 and 7 month photos on Facebook!!
Here is my most recent HDBD pic, and Gordon's profile from our ultrasound on December 27th:
Re: The thread of all threads!
