ETA Just got caught up...holy crap what assholes!! I agree that you should ask for documentation of your errors...were you put through the traditional disciplinary course of action/performance improvement plan/etc/whatever before they finally decided to fire you, or is this totally out of the blue??? If they didn't follow their normal protocol for this, it's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

The navy exchange had an awesome sale on baby stuff. One boppy left and I got it! But then had other preggos eyeballing my cart and asking where I had found it. Snooze ya lose! B-)

That happened to me at target the other day. I got the last $50 pack n play and this lady that was just shopping for her sisters baby shower practically took it out of my cart, asking if I was for sure going to get it. Uh yeah, lady! This is a damn good deal!

our CD store is having a sale today - 30% off preowned diapers. but i don't know that i have the desire to get dressed and drive there before they close in an hour.
they'll probably have another sale before april... right?

i started tracking my protein today more "officially" because it's been pushed so much by both my MW and my Bradley Method instructor, so i dusted off my myfitnesspal account. i told myself to not worry about calories, but really to focus on the protein and other nutrients i'm taking in. it is HARD AS HELL to hit 100 grams of protein in a day! sheesh!! though, i will say, part of that was i got bagels for a staff meeting today and got to keep the extras... meaning i've had 3 bagels today. bagels are NOT high on the protein list.
it will be interesting to see if i'm really doing as well as i thought i was before tracking or if i've been off pace for awhile. i'm committing to working hard at staying on top of the things i CAN do to stay low risk (there's a list on the bradley book including eating the right balance of foods and exercise- common sense stuff mostly) because my biggest fears are pre-e and GD, though i have no reason right now to think i have either. ok, i'm a fatty, so i've been told i'm screwed and getting GD, but whatever. my GTT is next week, so we'll see...

Tell those people to go fuck themselves. I'm a super fatty fat fat, and I don't have GD, nor did I have it with DS. In fact, my body metabolizes sugar better than most skinny bitches. Weight can be a factor, but it's not the ONLY factor! Remember that!

And, you're frickin beautiful. They can suck it.

Oh! And I forgot to say yesterday! I know who will be taking my classes while on Maternity leave now. They had a girl come in and observe me teaching, then demo a class with one of my third grades, then hired her as a TI (teaching intern, think on-campus full-time paid substitute). Since she has a music background she'll be my replacement while still being a TI.

It was......weird. Not weird like bad, just surreal. Like it's all actually real now. She wasn't awesome, but some musical background is better than no musical background, and I want what's best for my kids. And she'll be able to shadow me over the next few months and get a better idea of how to teach music. So all and all it's good. It's just...weird.

Ok I don't know if anyone can help me out with this or if I should just start looking for a lawyer. My husband had an evil step mother that basically cut him out of the family once his father passed several years back. Well we found out yesterday that ESM died back in MAY and no one told him. Now his sister has taken up residence in her home and ownership of everything. This is in California and We are in Texas, can we just hire a lawyer or should we just make a trip out there and see if we can get something settled to make sure that he gets his part of the inheritance.

@pineconey 100g of protein?! Holy crap! That sounds constipating lol. My doctor told me about 70g, which is already a struggle. I definitely read labels constantly now to make sure I'm getting enough. I want to rip my hair when I read that most delicious food is just "2g" gahhhh

Hospital was awesome!! So excited. About shit my pants when we went into the L&D room, this is all getting so real. They asked when we were all due, everyone was feb. I was the only April and I was waaaaaaaay bigger than all the feb mama's.... Ego crushed. DH says it's because I'm short... I felt like a cow when we left!

@snmetz7 my stepmonster scares me for this (and several other) reason. They are headed for divorce but have been insistent on staying together for their kids, who are now teenagers.. I hope my dad gets to have some relief before he goes, she's 17 years younger than him so I've always expected she'd outlive him and be her usual monster self about the estate. Terrible thing to even speculate about!

Also, I have to be to work in fifteen minutes and am still naked out of protest... Don't make me gooooo!

Nope, her MOH did. The bride was a super laid-back chill person, hence why I agreed to be a bridesmaid. Didn't count on her MOH being so...enthusiastic. Heh. @J&NL I like to party too, but I also like my money. Dropping over $400 on one day x 5 bridesmaids is insane to me. What ever happened to just getting plastered and dancing all night?!

Totally selfish and silly and I don't care, but every time someone says they love her names it makes me happy inside because one of them is our name too. I'm afraid people would hate it and I'm glad it's going over well.

Ugh, all the craziness you mentioned @dani+California would make me lose my head. My bachelorette party was out to dinner, and then bar hopping with my girlfriends and sisters. Best time ever - that and my little sister was so excited that her party resulted in my puking the next morning :P Most of the parties I've been to have been lower key, and they always end up way more fun!

On a totally different subject, nursery furniture has arrived, and man did DH and I bang out the decal work - it looks so effing cute now! I have to wait until the end of February for bedding since my mom bought it for my shower gift. I'm so glad the glider is out of our bedroom now too - I kept throwing laundry on it...

feeling somewhat accomplished today... cleaned and disinfected the bathroom with bleach. Got all the furniture moved in my room to accommodate the crib (whenever my Aunt can bring herself to break it down and bring it to me). Now if I could choice a paint I'd be good to go.

I'm super annoyed. We live in a house with my mom (rent upstairs of her split entry house), and she's a smoker. She keeps fucking smoking downstairs, and it drives me crazy. I have two kids who haven't been exposed to cig smoke inside until now and I keep telling her to stop smoking inside, but she just keeps doing it. It's a deal breaker if she's not going to stop, but it's financially the best living arrangement for us. How can I say something without causing a huge issue? Ughhhh

DH and I stared at my belly for awhile today and saw outside movement for the first time. Creeped me the hell out! Then DH put his hand where the movement was and got his first swift kick!!!! Finally!
