How is it that my husband is asleep with one very thin wall between him and our toddlers room and I'm on the other side of the house with no baby monitor, but I'm the one who wakes up to our son crying?! Starting to worry about him fighting overseas, I think the other side could be on top of him and he'd be clueless if he was asleep...

. This is so my husband! He can sleep through the kids crying no problem, but I open a pill bottle on my nightstand and he is wide awake. Drives me insane!
Last night was one of the best nights DH and I have had in a long time. We were both in good moods, we pigged out on snacks all night and even snuck off to the bathroom for a quickie while DD was in her room. It felt like how we used to be before the "routine boredom" set in.
I was in such a good mood when I went to bed that I slept without waking up once and actually woke up willingly when DD woke up. We definitely need more nights like this!
@Dani+California Sorry your dinner was ruined! But it WILL make for a good story one day! I went out for my birthday a couple years ago to this restaurant/bar and had ONE drink. I was not in the least bit tipsy or feeling it, but it must have reacted with a new medication I had started on, and I proceeded to throw up all over the floor in a large crowd of people before I made it to the rail of the porch and threw up all over the side walk below. Of course, they assumed I was drunk and escorted me out. I was pissed then!! But, its funny now.
Hoping to make some house progress this weekend! DH has a lot of painting to get started on!
Dani- I'm sorry that happened to you! I hope you feel better today. I'll admit, that is always one of my biggest fears when I have a coughing fit because I always seem to gag when that happens.
Thanks ladies! @BIRL I wish it was a dream...ha! My friends were totally playing it off like it was no big deal. My husband was all 'it could have been worse! You could have shit yourself!' which was very helpful. Haha....ahhh.
I can seriously pound beer like it's no one's business. I have never exorcist vomited in my life-can't believe I did it sober!
Oh honey. I'm so sorry!! I have totally been so sick I shit myself (in front of DH while we were dating years ago and I was trying to pretend I don't poo). In his house. I still get embarrassed if it gets brought up. I also projectile vomited, for no damn good reason, into a popcorn bucket in the middle of a sold out movie. Losing control of bodily functions is the worst!! Pretty sure DH is anxiously awaiting old personhood with his wife...
It is below freezing outside, but baby is rumbling in my tummy and I want sugar this morning... Do I settle for blueberry waffles in the toaster (which will set off our over-sensitive smoke detector and wake DH) or do I bundle up and trek out to the store? There are so many goodies there: muffins, doughnuts, cakes, but all involve leaving my nice warm apartment.
Thinking of getting another dog today.. It's been 2 months since Roxie passed away.. I'm not sure if I'm ready, I don't know.. DH and DSS want one before the baby comes. Ughhh it's just breaking my heart thinking of "replacing" her.

We got a dog 6 months after losing our last dog. We would have done it sooner, but waited until after we had our wedding/travel out of the way. We love our new dog to death...and I am someone who talks to my dog, so I tell her all about our last dog and how she was the best dog. My poor current dog is probably getting a complex!! But life is so much less lonely with a dog in the house! Also, our current dog is so different from our last, there is no way she is a 'replacement'. She is just our new baby!
@mrscrcalli Don't worry, you'll never replace her! I know the fear very well though. I think you'll know when you're ready. If you don't feel absolutely ready now, its ok! But I'm sure if you did get another pet you'd love them immediately and realize its definitely not a replacement, just a new love.
I just realized my due date is 3 months away from yesterday. In 3 shorts months (give or take) I will be a mother to a 3 year old and a new born. This pregnancy has been/ is going crazy fast.
@mrscrcalli Your new dog will definitely not be a replacement. I know you will love a new dog just as much as your Roxie. What kind of dog are you thinking of getting?

We aren't sure we were planning to head to the pound and see what they had.. I know for certain I won't ever get another pug she's my only pug
Going to a shelter is the best thing you can do!! Giving a pup a home and love is an awesome feeling. You're just spreading your awesome love around, not replacing your baby girl! Post pictures if you get a fur baby today!
I bought this "spa set" at the semi annual sale at VS and it smells soooo good. I know all of it isn't the best for your skin but I shamelessly admit that I like it.
My entire breakfast WAS dessert. Well worth the trip to the grocery store
I threw on some PJs since it's also laundry day, and I was just complaining to DH that I didn't feel much bigger than a few months ago. Put on my Halloween skeleton baby shirt that was really loose at the end of October and it was very pleasantly snug! Happy that little baby canteloupe is making room for himself in there!

We have two that are a pug mix and LOVE them... Same personality as a pug does without looking just like them to trigger memories for you! There is something about the pug personality that I just adore though.. They are such lovers and are so sweet-I can't give them up.
so i've always had this grand idea of being a wedding planner. I've planned 4 weddings including my own and if I do say so myself, I'm pretty good at it. Well I just got my first REAL client! My step mother's neighbors son is getting married and they want me to be their planner! I am super stoked and simultaneously scared shitless.
