Fucking Motorola video monitor! The sound must have went off on the parent unit at some point last night (between 2-4:30) so now it's just has video and no sound!!! Wtf!! It's broken and Google says that it happens a lot with that monitor. Guess I'll be sleeping on the couch in my son's room again tonight

I can't wait until tomorrow when I can call customer service and get answers!

What makes me so mad is that he was in a different position (and he never moves in his sleep) which means he cried himself into that position for anywhere up to 2.5 hours. I feel so terrible!

@phishgirl29, how far apart are your rooms? When my lo was just 6 weeks old our dr recommended turning the monitor off. She said if he needed something we would hear him. She was right, he wakes up still a few times a night and I hear him each time. So if your rooms are not too far away, he may not have cried for as long as you think. So don't be too hard on yourself

Merry Christmas!

@phishgirl29 that's hard but you have to think positive thoughts - chances are he did not cry 2.5 hrs. My baby now rotates all the way around without a peep and just started to do that randomly one day. And I am SURE if he cried some, he will never remember it and won't be scarred. You've done a great job of being there for him all the time. He trusts you and one bit of crying wouldn't change that.

I'm at the in-laws and we've all been awake and hanging out since 7. It's ten and LO was fussy and ready for a nap. I got him asleep and I'm holding him, DH txt me that they are ready to do presents. We flew all the way here, messed up our sleep schedule and you can't wait for us to do presents ? :-q

By the way that post is so disturbing I don't know what disgust me more. Trying to BF your grand baby or piercing their ears? Both situations make me feel like those people are not right in the head and would never be left unsupervised with LO.

@stargazer763, thanks I thought I was over reacting. But it's his first Christmas I wanted pictures with him and his cousin opening presents and now he's going to be doing his alone. He's the only baby and I think they could have waited for him to be done with his nap. I'm feeling very homesick for my own family right now.

So.much.stuff.

I don't have room in our house and I like everything to have its place. I'm considering a plan to re-gift some of the things to the other side of the family next year. Going to draw up this plan while I still remember who gave what. I love my new nook, thick wool socks and chewbeads necklace though!

@WasNotWas my SIL almost re-gifted me with a beer making kit I gave my brother. I'm hoping she found someone to give it to. We'll just keep passing the presents until they find their forever homes!
