Usually E only cries in the car right before she falls asleep. I would sit in the back and try a bottle and give it a half hour.
Eta: I don't know if this would work, but I discovered recently that if I sing E lullabies in the car she will magically stop crying and fall asleep. This is the only thing that has ever worked in the car.
What's your favorite road trip snacks?? Mine are the stinky ones- to my husband's detriment: jerky, Funyuns and pickles. In case you're wondering I'm not high and I better not be pregnant.
DS1 had his gift exchange at school, I got the little boy a transformer robot because on his sheet he said he liked robots. While everyone was opening their gifts, I was watching him waiting for the feeling of satisfaction when he screamed for joy. He ripped off the paper all excitedly, then.... Started crying! What the fluck!! He ran and told the teacher he hated it. Ungrateful little snot.
I gave my little cousins each a dollar tonight (2 and 4). I expected them to be excited and out it in their piggy bank. Instead the 4 year old starts crying because he wants a "green fifty". What the fluck?
I'm still here @cindyrelluh !! DH is just on break for the 3 weeks and is taking one of the MOTN wake ups so I haven't had as much time lately and I took a leadership position with a local mom's club and it is way time consuming
I'm an emotional basket case and my poor hubby is taking the brunt of my emotions. Plus also we leave for GA tom after my BETA draw and I'm no longer excited about going. I don't want to be dealing with this shit hundreds of miles from my own home. Also have no desire to put in a fake smile and act like everything is good while around family, but I have to because they don't know our news yet. Monday can't get here quick enough, it's either going to ease my mind a bit or send me into stress overload. Sorry that got long, but I had to get some of that off my chest and not aim it at my poor hubby.
@phishgirl29 my dr didn't want to give them to me without the numbers from my second draw that way they don't give me false hope. So I have to patiently wait until Monday for any news.
All week I have had very few plans. Just the general holiday stuff, but things I could do when ever it worked for the baby. All week LO has been waking up twice at night to eat - totally doable. Today we are crazy busy. He woke up 7 times last night. Teething can bite my butt!
20 minutes into at least an 8 hour drive (with LO who knows how long it'll take? ). We got up at 4:30 but didn't get on the road until 7. It's going to be a long day!
Also - favorite road trip food might be chex mix. I also love the excuse to get fast food (which my Swype turned into fat food lol).
I have been up since 6 am and when I got up I saw that my sisters dog had knocked off all the bags I'm taking out of town with us today. The dog went through the bags and chewed up Grayson's sippy cup, a ring and lid to a bottle, and one of the gifts I was taking with us. This dog is such a pain in the ass.
((Hugs)) @heelibrarian. I just lost one if my kitties to heart disease over thanksgiving. It's so hard and we still miss him. My husband is still so upset over that cat. Praying for your little guy
@heelibrarian, thoughts and prayers your way, loosing pets is so hard and they really are important members of your family. Maybe ask the vet if they think it may be best to put the kittie down, or to leave them, it is very hard to watch them suffer like that, I am thinking about you.
I got an epidural at 1/2 cm. 10 hours into my induction. The doctor said it was never too early to get one. I was always planning on getting the epi and the doctor reccomended getting it before they did the foley bulb rather than after, so I did. And I was happy I did!
Road trip food = Funyuns and a slushie. Every. Time.
FFSC: I love gas station food.
@FunkyPhoenix did you guys make it? Was Ben ok the rest of the way?
We had to stop one more time because I looked over and saw blood all over his hand! His ear was bleeding and it freaked my freak. Come to find out he had clawed it up. I try to stay in top of his nail trimmings but they grow so fast! Poor guy. Other than that, he did great the rest of the way. Thanks for asking!
Oh! And Funyuns are the ultimate road trip snack. Hands down!
Re: The thread of all threads!
Eta It's been 45 min and I'm in the back seat apparently not helping. This sux. Pulling over now. Wish us luck.

@libberluru that's hilarious!

@ColieAnn31, this is why I do not have a dog. Ugh!!! Sorry, girl.
Oh! And Funyuns are the ultimate road trip snack. Hands down!
@colieann31 dang that sucks!
I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
