    Hehe, I don't think they're giving out mugs this year... DH actually really hates his job but we are holding out til the baby comes to find a new one 'cause the maternity benefits are so good. We'd have a real hard time paying to have a baby without it!

    @JessieAlbin You too? DH has been looking to move on for years but is very picky, as his current job is so good. Once we found out we were expecting he stopped applying as fervently, as his bonus this year is pretty much going to pay for me taking 6 months of maternity leave, and the insurance benefits are amazing. Poor husband, but I appreciate his sacrifice.

    DH currently has an intern job- 15 hrs per week. Jobs around here in his field are slim pickings but we want to wait to move until after the baby comes.

    Also enjoy your $7.50 all I got was an email stating they are taking away our bonuses and double time. They did dig deep in their pockets to give me a $5 cafeteria voucher for my birthday though.

    I was JUST telling DH how much that version scared me as a kid. DSD is watching some form of mickeys Christmas right now and I'm so thankful it's not a Christmas carol...damn movie still freaks me out!! Pathetic! :D

    Remember the one of us who had to be on bed rest and was set to deliver right around now? I think it was 12/13, because reading her post made me think about my report cards going out that day. Regardless, I'm curious as to how she is doing. Any insight? I hope everything is going okay for her.

    DH woke up with a start at dark thirty this morning and his arm jerked right at my face. Thank goodness my hand happened to be blocking my face, or I might have acquired a fat lip to go with my bloody eye...

    Christmas bonuses?  Cafeteria voucher?  I need a new job...

    We apparently have $700 for the entire agency (I work for state gov't) to throw a holiday party. They have not had one in years.  One of the union reps sent out a vote to see if people wanted to donate the money to the local food bank instead.  People freaking rioted!  They want their damn party.  (We have fundraisers for the food bank, Salvation Army, and other charities basically from October through March, so it's not like we're all a bunch of Scrooges.)

    There was a post awhile ago. I can't remember who it was but I think we are thinking of the same person. She delivered in late November a sweet angel named Aiden, sadly he passed. I'm pretty sure we are taking about the same person. Hopefully she is finding peace and hope this holiday season.

    What sucks is I'm low man on the totem pole! CNA at a nursing home. We got bonuses ($150 a quarter) if we were doing a good job. thats gone now and no more double time for picking up. Boo.

    Yeah, I'm also 6' so they pretty much look like just tunic sweaters on me. I hate Lane Bryant for not having a maternity section. Seriously, it is so difficult to go in there when almost everything would normally fit and now it has to be SUPER stretchy. Even then, they are banding everything on the bottom for some reason so I can kiss all their tops goodbye until I pop this kid out!

    I bought a pair of black maternity tights. They are constantly falling down. Do you think if I soak them in warm water they'll shrink up a bit??

    Wear a Bella band over them? That's what I do with my too big maternity pants.

    Not a bad idea, except its just for my orchestra dress which is pretty form fitting. You'd probably see a bunch of bunching stuff with the bella band? Maybe? I don't want to buy another pair...hehe...

    Lol, I do all of this and no "sanctimommy-ness" here. Its what works for me and my kids and I don't care what others do. DH does refer to me as a 'hippy' sometimes though ;)

    Omg so I met one of my step mothers friends today and she asked me how long I'd been married "almost 3 years" oh and you're now now pregnant did you plan it that way or did it take you a while to get pregnant since you're clearly overweight.
    I went with we planned it that way so I didn't have to tell her that se was being a cunt and I had actuallygptten pregnant the first month I tried but lost that baby at 20 weeks she would have probably blamed that in my weight too.
