The only time I run is if something is chasing me.. I hate it!
Me too! DD tells me to run for various reasons/games all the time and I used to kinda of hop-fast walk. Now I just tell her the baby hates it when I run, so she never asks me to anymore. Score!
DH loves to run.. It "clears his mind" I run out of necessity that's it. I don't get it.

I did a half marathon a couple years ago...I think it was at like mile marker 1, I tripped on the train tracks and ate dirt! It hurt like heck, and it was in front of so many people!! But, I got up, bleeding knees and all and finished out my race!
I ran track in school before I got pregnant with DD. I did competition cheerleading too so I was in great shape when I got pregnant with her. Now I'm super lazy and kinda nervous delivery will be harder.
I run. Or I did. Baby makes me slow, and tummy feels heavy when I jog. I miss it.
Maybe my baby is super low or how I'm built, but I feel like the baby is about to fall out if I even speed walk let alone run. I feel like I have to grab my belly just to stand up!

My baby is super low too. It does feel weird to run.

Also, why are we talking about exercise and where did the cake go?? I don't know how I feel about all this healthy talk instead of sour straws.
I used to run in school, but then I got totally lazy. I started couchto5k after having DS, but after week 3 or so he decided he was over the stroller, and now he sets the pace of all walks. On the other hand, he doesn't like to let me sit down ever, so it sort of evens out. Or so I delude myself.
I did 30 min of cardio then had 2 pieces of pizza a diet cherry coke and some key lime pie.. Even right?

@twirple IIRC, the thigh chafe thing came from somebody (maybe @BiggerinRealLife? I'm too lazy to go back and look!) who got a tip from a stripper that antiperspirant can prevent ingrown hairs, and then added that it's also awesome on the thighs so that they won't chafe when they rub together. I totally wanna test the whole ingrown hair thing because that would just be exceptional.

All of this. I know baby is low bc s/he's not even up to my belly bottom yet. It's super awkward feeling.

@Bluebird2318 That was totally me. I can vouch that the stripper was very correct.

@Bluebird2318 and @BiggerinRealLife I'm kind of intrigued by the antiperspirant thing, but I'm one of those weird people who doesn't use antiperspirant. I make my own deodorant.

DH made the absolutely most deliciously messy chicken philly sandwiches with seasoned fries which I dipped into a LAKE of ranch dressing! Plus I have a mint chocolate chip ice cream pie my coworkers got me for my last day chilling in the freezer just waiting for me to indulge in it! Oodelally oodelally golly what a day!

Indeed, please do. I am always intrigued when people say they make their own products. I just don't think I'm that crafty.

@mrscrcalli and @Bluebird2318 my homemade deodorant is really easy. I melt 5 tbs coconut oil in the microwave. Add 1/4 cup baking soda and 1/4 cup cornstarch and mix, then pour into an empty deodorant container. I put it in the fridge overnight to set. If it is too hard to roll up, leave it out for 30 minutes to soften. Once you get it to roll up once, you can keep it in the fridge if your house is too warm. I need to do this in the summer, the rest of the year I can keep it in my bathroom.

UGH I'm so mad at myself, I'm having a pity party tonight. I have a frenemy from my past who started as a close friend & long story short she was a terrible fucking human being and we no longer speak. Since then, she's gone on to bigger and better things and I now have to see her on TV occasionally. (Seriously.)
I'm so mad that despite being a terrible friend, a pathological liar and a known manipulator, she's had so much success in life. Not that I'm doing terribly by any means, but let's face it, my job isn't rewarding or fulfilling in any way and sometimes I feel like my life lacks meaning and purpose.
Then I have to see her stupid face and it's like life's unfairness is salt in the wound. Yes I sound like a spoiled 12 year old with first-world problems but I can't help it! It makes me angry and sad all at once. I hate it.
Vent over! Sigh.
I know what you mean. I have kind of accepted that the traits that make someone a good person and those that make someone a successful person don't overlap the way we feel like they should.
Even more, I know what you mean about feeling like your life lacks meaning/purpose. Without going into too much detail, I am 5+ years into college and still no degree (for various reasons), and I will probably have to spend another year and a half if I want to get one now (the one I was almost finished with is no longer feasible, or desirable if I'm honest). But I'm already 40k in student loan debt and it just feels hopeless. I do what I can to be a good mother and a good wife, but by today's standards I feel like an utter failure. I know there's a way to make it all work out in the end, but it's just so overwhelming. I wish I had just followed my heart when I was still fresh into college. Sigh.

@aviola329 How heartbreaking; I'm sorry. It's never easy to hear about things like that happening, even to people we aren't close to. There are so many things in life we can control, but with our babies, as precious and important as they are, we can only do so much before we have to let faith (in nature, in God, in whatever) take over. It's so scary. My heart truly hurts whenever I hear of someone's loss.

Oh @aviola329 I am so sorry to hear that. How heartbreaking for her and for you. It really doesn't matter how close we are to someone, when we hear about a loss, it hurts.

Well I hope it all works out for you in the long run! Sometimes I just have to remind myself how lucky I am in all other aspects of my life, and that perhaps we aren't meant to 'have it all', otherwise we wouldn't appreciate the good things we DO have. My husband also likes to remind me that sometimes it's easy to idolize another person's life, career and successes, but we don't always know the full extent of their own personal problems and unhappiness. Doesn't make reality any less shitty at times, but what else can you do eh? The next time I partake in a glass of wine I'll toast to you!
Thank you! At this point I think it's probably best to just push through that extra year and a half once DH and I get settled (we'll probably have a substantial move in our future when DH gets promoted, hopefully very soon!), because I would hate to have that debt and nothing to show for it. Thankfully DH makes enough to pay the bills (and I do everything I can to manage our budget and save money!), so when I do get the opportunity to work (even if it's only part-time once the kids are in school) I can throw nearly everything I make at my student loan debt. I know there's an answer, I just have to keep moving forward until I can make it there. Like you said, I have to remind myself that I am lucky. Our families are both very supportive, and there are far worse fates in life than student loan debt.

On a far less serious business note. I think I'm going to go upstairs and heat up some mozzarella sticks. I would ask you ladies to talk me out of it, but by the time you respond I will already be up there starting the oven.

I am trying to find a cute green maternity blouse or sweater to wear for a large family Christmas outing and am having absolutely no luck! Ugh. Maternity clothing discourages me!
