Yes! I loathe autocorrect! And thank you! :)
  • I signed up to run a 5k tomorrow morning and I haven't trained at all. I think I might just try to run it and see what happens.

Do it! I bet you'll be just fine :) GL.

I just started my sons baby book this morning like literally 20 minutes ago. I can't remember some of the stuff so I'm making it up. Yep... like, he won't know anyway...right? I can't remember the exact date of his first smile but I know it was in the beginning/middleish of September... so I picked a day, lol. Bad, bad mommy! :)

Haha. I have to start mine and will also need to make up dates. Oh well. It'll be close enough
  • @maryannespier I wasn't going to do one and then I realized how much I enjoyed looking at the halfassed one my mom made me... and I thought maybe Haddock would enjoy it one day. He probably won't appreciate it as much until he's older but that's ok :)

I keep trying to think of something funny/embarrassing to put in there but can't. I'm not quite as clever as you! ;)
  • @maryannespier- I know how you feel with BIL.  We haven't heard from BIL since July 11th..yes the day of her birth. He lives in Florida and he's completely disconnected.  He doesn't even bother to send birthday cards to his nieces and nephew.

It annoys me, but it really hurts DH.

Do it! I did that once about six years ago and it was ok.I was sore the next day but it wasn't too bad. Go girl!

  • My DH wants to take DS to visit his brother...who is serving 8 years in jail. I don't want DH to take DS because I think its slightly creepy. So I'm pulling the "wait until he's weaned" card so he won't have to mess with taking in breastmilk, I guess there's a bunch of rules on what you can bring in. Hopefully that will buy me a few months. I'm a bad person.

  • I really want to go out with some friends tonight or tomorrow night... but I feel like a bad mom if I do.

I don't judge others that have been out already... but I've never not been here for bedtime and I think I'd end up crying while I'm out. Uhhh, mommy guilt.

I'm doing a 5k on Nov 16th and haven't done a thing either, unless we count playing Just Dance on the Wii with my DD.

Don't feel bad - I decided I'm going to have to do this for dd (lo2). I tried so hard to keep track of everyhing but her notes are all over and dh spilled on some, some got lost, and my old phone crashed and I lost a bunch of info in th enotes (i woudld do them while she nursed). Same ting as you with this LO. I figure they won't know the difference. That is until they find photographic evidence to contradict what mommy recorded.

  • @robynloureed usually around 8-9 I let him decide when he's ready for bed :) I think I might take Haddock to my moms since it's closer to where I'd be going out.

What time do you start bedtime? Maybe put him down for the night and then hand over the reins to SO and go to a reverse happy hour or something along those lines.
This. I completely hear you on the mommy guilt, but you deserve a night out. The first time we left M with MIL to go out and have a date night/drinks I had bad mommy guilt, but it started to fade as the night went on.

I have a completely irrational fear of public restrooms. I think it's the fact that someone's naked butt touched that seat. I've used them before, especially pregnant when I had to pee every 10 seconds, but usually I'll hold it before I'll use them.
I'm the same way. It's not a fear but they're disgusting and I hate odors especially in bathrooms. I avoid them like the plague!

I'm totally going to end up doing this too.  And I have a horrible memory so in a year or two I won't even remember that I made the dates up and will believe them too!

Hahahaha OMG I had this same thought process!
  • Ok...not to like be a bitch or anything but every single time I see @asbromle's name I think "she named her baby after a fish." If you put your sons name in a post I get so caught up on trying to figure out why you named him haddock that I cant concentrate on anything else.

Not that its any of my business but is there a significant meaning behind it? The best thing I could come up with, other than you just like it, is that you all conceived your ds after eating haddock or maybe you all went deep sea fishing and caught haddock and somehow that led to making a baby.... I seriously have invested way too much time in to this name!!

  • I love my bean more than anything in the world but I am enjoying getting a break from him when I go to work and when I go to the gym. It's nice because I start to miss him while I'm away but the break is nice.

I have the day off from work but had DH still take LO to daycare. I have such a long list of things I want to accomplish and I'm secretly looking forward to cuddling with my cat who I feel has been neglected for three months.

I try to take a few days like this over the course of the year! Honestly it's the only real break I ever get between working and now two kids, 2 and under. I don't feel guilty anymore--it is much needed. As the saying goes, if mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!
