My FFFC: Did any of you have that stupid Giraffe Riddle circulating on fb? I wanted to nut punch everybody. I got into a big heated argument about it with a bitch I don't like for entertainments sake. I kept at it cause she's fucking stupid and didn't understand my logic.

Last night LO was screaming at bedtime as usual - I handed off LO and told DH to take her upstairs and get her to go to sleep - she screamed for a half an hour and then passed out.  When DH came downstairs he looked like he had had a really rough time.  This secretly (or not so secretly) made me super happy.  Guess what DH she does that - EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to get her to sleep - she screams and sometimes she screams in between naps just for fun.  Even though LO woke up like 10 min later and I had to get her to go back to sleep I still think I'm going to send DH to deal with the screaming baby every night - it was nice to have a little break

 

ETA and by "break" I mean I did the dishes so that I couldn't hear her scream over the sound of running water

My BIL is a freaking weirdo! And I don't want him around DD. He's a long haul trucker, posts gross stuff on FB, owns a gun but not a gun safe and has a drinking problem.

By gross stuff on FB I mean he says he wishes he had AIDS so he can bite his mechanic and he was goin to rape their Yelp page. All because his car took longer to fix and he had to wait an extra hour. Or that men cheat bc their women aren't doing their job. Gross.

I don't love guns, but if you own one and have a gun safe or appropriate place to store them that you've done your best to child proof we are all good!

He's in town and I know he'll want to meet DD. Last time DH and I got drunk together I told him I don't want BIL to be alone around DD nor will I leave her with his parents when he's home visiting them. I think it hurt his feelings but he understood. If he didn't understand I'd refuse to take DD to his folks house.

Probably not flame able but I had to get this off my chest. I couldn't sleep thinking about it!

Hells no! I don't want him around my kid, I'm not taking him around others. He's also never in town, he comes homes about four times a year. I'm not sad he hasn't met DD. Also, I'd say DH is attractive. BIL is not at all. They are complete and total opposites.

Ok, another FFFC. I am worried for my second child because every single second child in DHs family is a fugly freak. His one cousin is a model. His brother? Fugly! Really nice person but fugly.

@kalemi it's a family name. My SO's family has named their first sons John for generations. My FI's uncle who is John Haddock never wanted or had any children so my FI's dad named my FI John but gave him a different middle name. So we went back to tradition and gave our son the middle name Haddock.

Everyone always gives us the what the heck look when we tell them his name, oh well

Also, his first name is John so on applications and what not it won't look so strange with his last name included which I won't add here for obvious reasons, the name sounds really strong

I have another. Sometimes when DH gets home from work I tell him Jae was extra terrible that day so I can get a little more me time and some sympathy for not doing shit all day. He's really a good kid though. Those "terrible" days are few and far in between

Whoa!  That's crazy!!  No this isn't flame able because there's no way I'd be leaving my kids with him. 

And MIL sees nothing wrong with that creepy shit. She's in total denial that he's a degenerate.

Also, I would never leave DD with him. I don't even want him around DD. Like if he's home and we are out ther visiting one of us needs to be in the same room with DD at all times. Maybe that's over zealous but he creeps me the eff out.

DD is 3 1/2. She still used a pacifier at bedtime and naptime. We just had the boppy (pacifier) fairy come. She did great, no issues at all. She was so excited to see what the boppy fairy left her and hasn't asked for it since. This made me a little sad b/c this was the last "baby" thing she had. She's growing up way too quickly.

My confession: I'm one of those AW who check-in every time they go to the gym. I'm here right now waiting for my class to start. Haha (I will never be Kelley ripa and I love cheeseburgers!)

Also...I'm kinda jealous of people who win the j13 awards. I mentioned this, but I was yearbook advisor for 10 years, 3 at high school, and they're just a popularity contest.

ALSO...UO day just makes me dislike people so it's better to just not read it.

Ugh what is with all the shitty brother and bils, my brother (who lives ten minutes away) has never met or spoken about DS. He just posted on FB how he has bags full of 2t clothes. My other brother has kids around this age and of course my DS could use them (he is a smoker so neither of us would take them but it would still be nice if they were offered) I basically raised his two kids with my parents when I was in hs because he was in and out of rehab and jail.

My FFFC: when SO said he does not want my brother to be a part of our life I felt relieved. It is so stressful to keep up with him and watch out for him. He is 33 and I am 24, I've been helping him pay bills and paret his kids and keeping him on the straight for way too long. My bigger confession; he embarrasses me. I think that is the first time I admitted that.

This was going to be my FFFC! Seriously...it was fun at first, but three weeks later of "who's the best" with the same people...is equivalent to the same girl getting on the homecoming court all four years. Just annoying.

My FFFC: when my dad died four years ago, I suffered from Post a Traumatic Stress so bad that it mimicked a stroke. I lost short term memory as well as a lot of comprehension skills that causes me
to react slower because I process things so slow. (I couldn't recite the eye chart back to the nurse because I didn't know how to say the letters!) I was once a super intelligent corporate manager who had to quit her job because she couldn't comprehend basic number functionality. I don't usually tell people this...because it's not something I like to talk about. But I get really upset when I do something backwards or forget something seconds later after it was discussed...and someone will playful call me stupid or dumb or make a comment like "are you kidding?!?"
My boss who didn't know my story once said "people underestimate your intelligence until they get to know you"...total slap in the face.
I don't know how this is an FFFC, but I've been down about it lately and wanted to get it off my chest.

This is my first FFFC ever. I figured I'd jump in right away before it got to be 100 pages long by end of the day. :P

I've been re-gifting so many of LO's stuff that we received when she was born. Very grateful for visitors bringing gifts, but holy cow, it was just too much crap that added up! I'm talking baskets upon baskets of bath and shower stuff, clothes galore, hooded towels, blankets, etc. Sooo glad I know so many pregnant women at the moment. I've even re-gifted to women I barely know from church and coworkers' daughters. I'm currently the nicest and most thoughtful person these women know. Score...?

I have been re-gifting too.  I have a stack of stuff in LO's closet of things that we can't return but don't need.  I just pick a few things from the stack and put them in a bag-that is also from my baby shower that I saved.  

@asbromle  I pull out my phone and put a date and what DS did on a note.  Then I enter everything at one time when I get the chance.  Otherwise, he wouldn't have anything written in his baby book! 

My FFFC.  I usually wait until I am nursing DS to ask MH do something or get me something. He usually won't tell me no when I'm feeding his son.

I haven't been able to read through these yet, server back up so I have to get work done but wanted to get mine off my chest before I forget.  My family keeps asking when we are baptizing DD.  I keep telling them i'm looking for a church that i'm comfortable with.  In reality it's because I'm still struggling with my faith.  I wish I could be that person who feels it was God who gave me the strength to get through what we've been through but I can't.  I'm still pissed.  After multiple tests, IUI's, IVFs, we finally got a heartbeat after our second IVF. The next week no more heartbeat.  I can't put into words my devastation.  We got pregnant on our next try during an FET cycle, I remember praying and crying please let this one be healthy do not take it away from us again.  And sure enough lost that one one too.  I'm happy and thank God for our miracle DD now but I am still having a hard time finding the reason for all this while I watch others get pg so easily and see others such as my friend's sister who drank and smoked through all 3 of her pregnancies.

There are also other things that I don't agree with concerning the Catholic church.  One being they don't agree with infertility treatments.  I feel the church feels my dd shouldn't be here and I can't seem to get over this.  I know I need to figure this out soon, and stop putting this decision on baptizing off.

@dontgiveupnomatterwhat, so sorry to hear about your struggle but I appreciate hearing your story and am glad you were brave enough to share it. I lost my dad three weeks ago and I think now that the dust has settled it may actually start affecting me more--reality is setting in now. I haven't had any physical reactions yet, other than probably aches and pains from storing my stress in my body--I was having to be the "rock" for everyone and I felt like I didn't have a rock of my own--DH was busy taking care of our boys so I could take care of my mom. My dad was always my rock
