Everyone, and I mean everyone, keeps telling me I'm having a boy. I have been polite and kept it to a coy, "Think so?" But really I want to be like, "Just because you said that, I hope I'm having a girl."

Just so you know, I "look like" I'm having a boy, and I am 100% having a girl! Every single person who sees me is shocked when they hear I'm NOT having a boy (even the checkout lady at the gas station yesterday). That old wives' tale means nada.
I absolutely hate when tall people sit next to me on the train. They sit so obnoxiously because they have such long legs and they splay them open like a frog. When did invading personal space become so acceptable? I get that the train might have little room in front and cause them to feel cramped but why do I have to suffer for it because I am small? I mean right now the man next to me has his leg right against mine. Also about personal space, the other night in line at the bank, someone was standing so close to me. I kept staring at them like why are you so close to me??? Gaahhhh!
I love my H but his damn beard has to go. It's like Duck Dynasty up in here. I don't find it attractive at all so I'm not having sex with him until he shaves.
I absolutely hate all stubble and facial hair. I cannot stand the way it feels against my skin. I withhold affection from DH when he is too prickly and don't shave my legs to see how he likes it.

Mother I love you dearly and I always will. But telling me to change my boy's name just because it is the 'same name as an ex' is really quite low for you. Get used to it!

Lol I tried to not shave my legs, but he doesn't care . If it doesn't shave before the baby is here, I hope she yanks the shit out of it haha.
My BIL has a beard and that was one of DS1's favorite things to do. Having a beard is like an open invitation for babies to yank and pull on it.
My FFFC is that I totally forgot to include BIL's girlfriend on the invite list to my Sprinkle and I really couldn't care less. Honestly it didn't even cross my mind until a couple days ago (the Sprinkle is tomorrow). She is so weird and awkward that the few times I've hung out with her I end up avoid talking with her. I apologized to BIL blaming it on pregnancy brain that I forgot to ask him for her email address (e-vites were sent since it's a small sprinkle) but I'm not sorry. He didn't care especially since they are headed out of town this weekend. Oh well!

My SO let it grow really long for a while and I complained, so he shaved it ALL off. He had gained some weight and in turn looked like an overgrown Oompa Loompa. Hahaha. He now keeps it to a minimal amount.

I have the same issue with my DH. I love facial hair but he needs to keep it trimed or he looks like a hobo. I told him "lets see how long you keep that thing once there is baby puke in it!"
I cried last night because my ILs decided they're coming for thanksgiving. I have reason to be so upset because they're staying in a hotel and probably have realistic expectations of what I can do at 37 weeks but I just want to be left alone. I keep thinking how awful it would be if I went into labor with them here because I want to labor at home for a long time and I only want dh to see me when I'm a hot mess.

I wish it was more acceptable to call in to work. I feel really pregnant today and wouldn't mind taking an extra day off but don't want to feel guilty the rest of the day.
ETA: does that count as a confession? Probably not. Here's my confession... I feel really pregnant today and since I can't call in to work, I'm just going to give my students some independent work so I don't have to interact with them too much.
DH has a small beard that he keeps short and neat. At first I hated it but now I don't want him to shave it. He looks so young with it gone and honestly his nose looks longer without it lol.
What's really funny though is that I hate chest hair so he shaves that. I tease him he looks like a staged Abrocrombie model (he has that kind of body) since he's pretty hairless but has a "cool" beard lol.

I'm right there with ya! My H has been growing his beard without so much as a trim since Dec. '12 and it has become a superstitious thing now- he's not shaving/trimming until baby comes. He is usually so attractive but somehow he has grown a Robertson level beard in 10 months. It def makes it worse that everywhere we go men are admiring it and high-fiving him like it's a great accomplishment... Ugh
I just got diagnosed with GD this am (officially, I knew yesterday), and I don't see MFM until next week....my FFFC is that I *almost* want to keep eating like I've been until they see me, even thought I know it isn't best for me...
DH put me on a budget for the kids' birthday cake. I went $85 over his limit. I'm paying cash for the portion I went over and putting the rest on the debit card so he doesn't know how much I really spent.
DH is one of the few guys who look good with or without a beard. He looks younger without it though. I think people take him more seriously at work when he looks older so he leaves it.
I like that my dr appts take forever because it's the only break I get from all the kids at once.
Me too! He was delivering a baby last week and was about 45 minutes late for my appointment. He was so apologetic when he came in, but I was all like, "Take your time! I will literally sit here as long as you'll let me with no complaints."
My FFFC is I went to sleep at 8 last night, and I decided to sleep till 7:30 and not take a shower before work today. I'm just lazy, I can't blame it on being tired...
In the fall and winter I usually only take a shower every other day. If I take one every day my skin gets so dry that it itches and cracks, even with lotion. It also appeals to my lazy side.
My FFFC is that I know I am going to get in a fight with DH when I get home from work so I am already mentally rehearsing what I am going to say. I hope I am not the only person who does that!
The fight will be over his lack of doing ANYTHING around the house. He works a lot but right now I work full time and I am trying to power through clinacal hours before the baby gets here so I can finsh my degree so I am working as much if not more than he is. Today he has the day off and I asked him to:Feed the dogs, take out the trash and put the recycling in the garage. Really hard I know! I think I had more chores when I was 8. I would put money on the fact that none of it will be done when I get home. Not trying to be dramatic but this has happened the last 3 weeks in a row so I am just kind of expecting it.
This has been an issue for a while now and it's starting to worry me with LO on the way so soon. His mom stayed home and did everything short of wipe his butt for him, then he left her when we got married and I stayed home so house hold chores all went to me which was fine but now I work and will be a working mom and he still expects me to do the same level of work. He says "you take care of the inside and I take care of the outside"...ok that's fair, but he hired a landscaping company to do it for him. So my argument will be "If you can hire people to do your house work I am hiring a maid service to do mine."
This isn't a confession, but I have to tell you guys, last year my BF grew his beard/mustache out and would make it all fancy with wax. There was a children's hospital charity mustache and beard competition, and he WON 1st place in the natural beard category. He used my straight iron and curlers to style it lol.
I've decided that men grow out facial hair to impress each other, because it's always other guys that come up to him and talk about it.
DH is one of the few guys who look good with or without a beard. He looks younger without it though. I think people take him more seriously at work when he looks older so he leaves it.
This for my DH too. He's a supervisor and often has to meet with big customers. He looks like he's 20 years old without it so I think it makes him feel like they take him more seriously.
A funny story, DH was running a job and they had to work with a union company. He gets to the job site and one of the union guys says "I didn't know it was bring your kid to work day!" They were working on the 8th floor with no elevator so he kept making the guy run down to get materials and tools they actually didn't need as pay back lol.

That's really funny. Dh is in construction management so he works with union guys too. Sometimes guys double his age make comments about not being bossed around by "a kid" or something along those lines. That's why he also leaves the beard. He thinks it's funny but he obviously can't show them that.

My SO is like this too. He is Italian and can grow a full on beard in less than a week. He's always switching it up and messing with me. I still like him better without it, so at least I feel like it's a compromise I can deal with.
My FFFC: A day or two ago, FIL went to the polish grocery store and came back with a pound and a half of bologna lunch meat. ("It was on sale!") That sh!t's delicious. I'm not even sorry.
I'm one of those obnoxious people who is likely having three showers.
My parents are both from big families, divorced, and each has been remarried to their current spouse for over 20 years, so I'm close with my stepparents' families as well. My mom and her friends are throwing a shower for her & my stepdad's side (~20 ppl, all aunts and first cousins plus my mom's friends, my sister, mom, MIL, and GMIL). I have aunts on my dad's side who have asked about throwing a shower, which will be about another 18ppl (again, all aunts, first cousins, and close family). Neither group of hosts are able to accommodate a group of nearly 40 in their home, so two showers it is.
And my friends threw a "friends only" shower last weekend with 14 guests, which brings the total to three.
(I should add that no one is attending/invited to more than 1 shower)
My DH looks young too but I severely doubt a beard would make him look older. We met some new neighbors and I pointed over to our yard where Dh and DD were playing and introduced them. The lady said "That's your husband? I thought he was the older brother!"
I'm resentful that DH is leaving for a week to go deer hunting in the U.P. The flammable part is that he really deserves to go because last year he was deployed and didn't get to go at all. I'm just bummed that I have to juggle work, school, and DS without any help, just like when he was deployed. When do I get a vacation?!?
D13 June Siggy Challenge Awkward (Awesome) Bathing Suits
I've been a diligent couponer for about two years now - I never go grocery shopping without making sure I'm spending as little as possible and taking a well planned out list with me The normal time frame it takes me to prepare for a grocery trip is 2-3 hours... (I might be a little overthetop ridiculous with my preparation..)
My confession is today I'm not doing shit. IF I go shopping, and it's a big IF, I will not be cutting coupons, looking for the best deals, planning meals... Nothing. I literally have no drive today and I just want to stay home and watch movies all day. Maybe this confession will help to light a fire under my ass, but honestly I think I will be going shopping without a plan for the first time in years.
