When dd is tired and crying at night she seems to be soothed when I walk into a lit room. I'll walk into a different lit part of the house while rocking her and she almost immediately stops crying. Any thoguhts on why? I've read babies aren't afraid of the dark until they are older.
Also we've been trying to set a pattern to help for the future day and night difference. (I go back to work in 3.5 weeks.
And to be clear I'm not expecting immediate results or trying to push her to go to bed sleep at x time, just trying to establish the difference for her to help in the future.) I have her nap in busier areas of the house during the day and try to keep her in a quiet, dark environment at night with lots of soothing but no play. Any thoughts on how her seeming to be calmed by light would affect that routine?
