  I also dislike didactic fantasy. It's fine for sci-fi, but not fantasy. Lol

  I spent basically my whole morning reading this thread straight through.

   

  And you hors know you love me. Um. And by "hors" I mean Sookie and CG.  

  Why don't you like Eragon?

  I keep meaning to ask you then I forget. 

   

  Eh. I liked the first one, actually. It's juvenile and the writing is (appreciably) immature, but I liked the story. It's that second one that sucks ass. I felt like I was being taken on a journey to nowhere with no end. I don't like that feeling. 

  Oh.

  I'm about 75% through the second one.  It's not fabulous but I'm not hating it yet. 

  I like Roran. 

  The part that's really annoying me is how nice everyone is and how willing they are to just back down when someone challenges them.

  First of all, 12 pages?!?!? OMG. And I read it all. What is wrong with me?

  My FFFC: I was pisssed at my H the other day, so I shaved my pits with his razor. Apparently I am also 13 and passive-aggressive. It backfired, though...I dropped it after I was done, it broke, and I cut my finger trying to put it back together. Apparently passive-aggressive revenge doesn't work out for me.

  You left valuables in a car while it was being serviced?

  I was thinking the same thing.  I try to make a point of taking everything out before we take the car in for any service or work.  I just don't trust people.

  To be fair, she said she found the iTouch in their other car but had thought she left it in the one that was being serviced and that it had gone missing.

  I only leave CDs in my car because I'd laugh if the mechanics stole my awesome 90s mix CDs and Carrie Underwood.
