R brought me a couple of books while I was going through this thread.  Fortunately, they were all books I have memorized, so I could read them to him and still read this ribbon.  Oprah calls it multi-tasking.

    LAWL.

  • There is a girl on DD's soccer team whose dad drives me BSC with all of his yelling at his DD during practices, and games. Last night he was yelling at his DD during practice because she didn't do something right, and I told him to STFU, and get his fat a$$ out there.

Last night after practice DD asked if she had a girl scout meeting, and I lied and told her no. Mommy was tired, wanted to get home, and go to bed, so I told my child a white lie. Iam not sorry.

Oh and DS dropped the eff bomb during storytime at DC the other day. When the DC provider told me, I busted out laughing. She didn't think it was so funny, but I almost peed myself.

Thanks for all the love, ladies.  I know no one ever expects these things, but holy hell do we ever feel run over by a truck.

And I usually don't feel bad about looking out for myself first, but I hope she just doesn't go.  Because I'd love to get completely shmammered and talk about nonsense with my girlfriends for a night.

HUGS....so sorry you have to go through that. Hang in there. Praying for you.

    While we're confessing stuff.

We're facing a medical termination within the next week or two, after our CVS results come back.  This is not the confession.  The confession is that a friend of ours just announced her pregnancy and I'm waiting to see if she RSVPs to a party before I decide whether to go.  I love her, but I'm one of those lame biitches who can't hang out with pregnant chicks when I'm sad.  Is this still unpopular on the bump, like it was a couple years ago?

    Let me know.

I am so sorry you are going through this. (((hugs)))

Ditto.  I didn't go to my best friend's son's birthday party because she had just announced her pregnancy, and we had been trying for five months.  Do what you need to do.

I have heard so many people say good things about yoga. I need to bite the bullet and try a couple classes at my gym. I just remember I hated Pilates and keep thinking they are the same.

    They aren't though, are they?

I'm too chicken to take a class because all the others would put me to shame but if you want to try a DVD, I like Bob's Harper's Biggest Loser Weight Loss Yoga. It's good for a beginner. He has different levels and you can customize the workout if you want to do an hour or just like 10-15 minutes.

    Spill it, hor.

I have decided I would NOT have a problem shooting my neighbor's dog.  My a$$sss wipe of a neighbor breeds pit bulls in the jungle he calls a back yard.  One of the pit bulls is super agressive and he knows it.  He has told my husband numerous times he should get rid of him.  Well the dog is eating the slats in the wooden fence trying to get in our yard.  I'm guessing to fight my dog.  One morning we woke up to the pit hanging on our side of the fence.  Not sure how he managed to get over the fence.  Luckily the chain he was on was connected to his body harness and not his neck or he would have been dead.  Anyway, the neighbor has replaced at least 10 slats in the fence so far.  Now they are not replacing them but just putting things in front of the hole to keep him of getting through.  I'm not sure what to do at this point.  We tell them every.time. he starts eating away at the fence.  They have another dog that comes over in our yard but he is harmless and doesn't try to fight my dog.  So if the pit ever gets in my yard and is attacking my dog....I will shoot it.

Hot button FFFC: I don't have a problem with smokers. No, I don't think it is ok to smoke around kids, etc. I just get that it is an addiction. I don't think people get how hard it can be to quit. I guess I am just saying that I can cut them some slack.

    SO smokes. I don't.

I feel the same with my mom.  She stopped smoking about 13 years ago BUT I came home from college pregnant, unwed, and refused to have an abortion.  She has been smoking since.  I feel like its my fault.

Can you call animal control the next time he gets into your yard? And then show them the mess that is the fence? Maybe call the police and let them know your neighbor's aggressive dog is chewing through the fence, and what can you do legally about it?

This is very unsafe, not only for your dog, but for both your family and your neighbor. If his dog gets out and mauls someone, the dog will be put down and the neighbor could do actual jail time.

My fear is that he gets through when we are in the back yard with the kids.  I don't know what I would do.  I know our dog would defend us but I don't want my dog hurt.  We have a rottweiler that is pretty big but I don't think he could take on a pit bull.  We have taken pictures of the damage but like scout mentioned its not our fence.  I guess adding something on our side to help.  I will also call animal control.  This had been going on for some time and I'm over it.

  • Yep, they are the same sex.  He originally had the girl pit next to our fence but she was chewing the fence as well.  I'm sure the dogs hate it over there!  He has 4 pits in cages back there.  I think the girl pit just wanted to give my dog some poon Stick out tongue hence her chewing the fence.

Honestly right now I don't have time for my IRL friends. I work 10 hour days at a computer and when I'm at home I'm trying to adjust to life with 2 babies and figure out how to work out a routine that allows me more time with the kids, with my husband, and time to myself.

TB ladies are here to entertain me during the work day.

I have IRL friends, but none of them are parents so I don't talk to them as much as I talk to my interwebz frenz.  And my IRL friends would side-eye me for typing "interwebz frenz".  I assume that's what a lot of people "mean".

Obviously I'm here too so I'm in no position to judge but some people seem to really take it too seriously and need these relationships and it makes me kind of sad.

My issue is that no one I know IRL has children, and more so is (openly) dealing with loss or IF. When I came to TB, it was so nice to be able to just be open and real about where I was emotionally, without the judgement, the "God's will," the "get over it" attitudes I got everywhere else. I met people who got it, and I needed that desperately at that time.

But the result was that I don't feel as close to everyone I knew before because they didn't really go through this process with me. Not the way the ladies I met on TTCAL and around TB did. I do need those relationships, though by now I've gotten to know many of them in person and away from TB.

Do I love that the three years of RPL define me so much? No. But it is what it is.

I absolutely see why thebump was a huge source of support and distraction for you. It's also how I found myself here bc I was not open IRL about my IF struggles.

CG, unlike the nest, where I primarily hang, there seems to be an inordinate amount of desperation to be liked and, declarations of love here. I think there's a dangerous line that gets crossed when people rely too much on people they don't know and yes, yesterday's melee was a prime example. Obviously I'm a nosy cow who loves to hear rehashing of the drama but I have no desire to be a part of it.

  • I've also become super close with a few girls from TB off board. I have much more in common with them than I do with my IRL friends.  We are going through the same things, where as my IRL friends are not married, don't have kids, 1/2 don't have jobs, and they go get drunk on Tuesdays (or any other random day of the week). Needless to say, we've drifted apart.

While I wish I had some girlfriends close by that I could go out with, I don't really think it's that awful that I'm closer with my internet friends right now than my IRL friends.

And also I'm super dee duper shy, so going out and making new friends who are more mature than my current friends is very difficult for me.
