Due date? By LMP May 31. I’ll almost assuredly be a planned repeat C section so in reality baby would come at least a week before that if I don’t go into labor before.
How did you find out? I am a typical POAS addict so I’ve been taking tests the last few days. Yesterday I had a line show up just outside the test time window and this morning it showed up within the time window.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I am a stay at home mom but before having kids I worked as a research scientist. My husband is a family physician. We have two boys that are almost 3 and almost 6. We also have two cats. I enjoy sewing, knitting, crocheting and other crafty things.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)?
No physical symptoms yet. Emotionally this is the least anxious I have felt about a pregnancy which is really nice and surprising. I had 2 miscarriages before my oldest child so I am usually very anxious especially early on.
Due date May 21st eta from the calendar but all my others were 2-3 weeks early
My breasts have been hurting and my period was due last week, totally not expecting a positive test honestly though the shop was closed since my others are 10, 8 and 6.
So shocked, a bit nervous I actually kept a lot of baby things and just started getting rid of stuff earlier this year because I thought I was done.
Feeling okay no morning sickness yet and with all others I had it bad, so far just emotional, bit of mood swings and breast pain
Introduce yourself: hi I'm megan, 25, very northern USA
Due date? I've estimated may the 4th, a star wars date haha
How did you find out? I just had a feeling I was, took a test, didn't see anything but kept it, then took another the day my period was due and it was pos!! Looked back at that first one and there was actually a faint line!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): this would be our 3rd child, we're hoping for a boy, but our 2 girls are so precious we don't mind either way, I'm extremely nervous for a 3rd child.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I'm almost 8 weeks and nausea is starting to hit me hard. I haven't been able to even think about meats for a couple weeks. I've been craving taco bell which the last 2 pregnancies it's made me sick, but this time around its so yummy and I feel fine. I'm also really temperature sensitive, I'm either extremely hot or extremely cold!
Oh yea and I can't stay awake for more than 2 hours without needing a 4 hour nap 😂
I'm 31 from Kentucky. Pregnant (very VERY much by surprise) with #4.
EDD 5/25 based on LMP
We have 3 other kids (5.5, 3.5, 13 months) and had a mmc at 10 weeks between the younger two - hoping this surprise babe sticks around I've only had one period since the youngest was born and we had sex exactly once this month, so this kid is persistent if nothing else
Physically still feeling pretty normal, just bloated and extra tired. Emotionally getting excited and hopeful - we always wanted 4 but decided that financially it was best for us to stop after 3. Vasectomy was already scheduled and then this baby popped up! So pretty surprised. But totally over the moon.
Hi everyone! I’m Rosa, 27 and this is my first pregnancy. I’m both super excited and super nervous.
Based on my last period baby is due May 23rd
I suspected I was pregnant when I felt some out of the ordinary cramping. The next day I took a pregnancy test at home and it was positive! Then I took another one a week later because I just had to be sure it wasn’t a fluke (even though I hear that really doesn’t happen)!
Emotionally I am definitely nervous. I don’t know what to expect from my body and I have emetophobia. So far I’ve had a lot of bloating, on and off cramping, and some breast swelling/tenderness. Vivid dreams are also happening.
I’m so grateful communities like this exist. Wishing everyone well! 💛
How did you find out? I was 3 days late, and in the past being late always meant I’m pregnant. I’m NEVER late!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I’m 30. I work for the Post Office, just started in May. I work 6 days per week so my sundays are usually spent running errands, visiting family and friends, baking, and relaxing with my love. My partner and I have only been together since the first week of July so this was unexpected and terrifying for the both of us.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I’m very anxious. My doctor told me I’m high risk due to 2 miscarriages and a recent ectopic surgery in June. I’ve been getting weekly ultrasounds since 5 weeks where everything has looked good. 6 weeks we saw a heartbeat of 120bpm and measured right on track. But I’ve been spotting light brown when wiping for 3 days and had headaches daily for the past week. So worried. So stressed. So tired.
How did you find out - just felt off, got a positive 7dpo. We were ready to start IVF meds next cycle, so this was such a wonderful surprise.
Tell us about yourself - I work in health care. My husband and I have been together 10 years, married 1 year this weekend. We have a pup we adore and love to cook and travel.
How are you feeling - Symptom wise pretty good. Tender breasts, nausea, +++ fatigue, frequent peeing, some back pain and lots of bloating. We are trying to balance being excited with being cautious, 8 weeks in so far. Ultrasound was normal, HR 155, so just trying to stay positive and embrace each day!
Hi I’m Kristen! I’m 32 and this is my first pregnancy. I took a. At home pregnancy test 1.5 weeks ago. Due date is May 23rd.
Me and my husband (Michael) have been together for 11 years now, and married for 2.5. I work at a engineer at a automotive company. Both my and my husband work from home which I’m so glad since my morning sickness has had me feeling pretty bad some days. We have two small dogs which I hope will accept the new baby. For fun we like to hike, work out, and go to concerts!
I’m a over thinker so anxious is pretty normal and it’s been extra lately. Physically I’m ok some days and then fatigue and nauseous really bad the next.
Hey everyone in Jess I’m 22 and this is my first pregnancy. My due date it May 2nd.
I took a test at 8dpo and it looked negative, I forgot about it but when I looked at it a couple days later there was a faint line. So at 12dpo I took a digital and it said yes!
I am actually a university student studying Kinesiology & majoring in human kinetics. I wasn't expecting to have a baby until after uni but sometimes the universe has other plans! My boyfriend and I are both very excited. We have been together for 4years but we’ve been friends for close to 10 years so don’t worry I’m not doing this alone! We have a house together and we have two adorable black cats! Both of our families are excited too (:
From 4weeks to 5 weeks I was just tired, but ever since 6weeks I’ve been very nauseous (I’m 8weeks now). This nausea is brutal tbh, I am having such a hard time with it. Other than that I am excited and happy! But does anyone else feel like it’s not real yet? I know I’m pregnant but it just doesn’t feel real!
Introduce yourself: Hi, I’m Kimberly. I’m 32. This is us baby number 3 for me!
Due date? May 13 by LMP and my birthday is May 1st!
How did you find out? My daughter and I normally start around the same time, and she started and I didn’t. My intuition kept telling me to test and I did on 9/11 and it was positive! I took 3 more test just to be sure lol
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I am a pharmacy tech and he delivers medical supplies. This is also his first child, but my third. We have been together a little over 4 years. There’s a bit of an age gap with my kids. My oldest is 13 and my youngest is 10. I’m about to start completely over! Lol I like to make crafts, when time permits. I also like to travel.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Nauseous all the time and very emotional
Hi all! I’m Sam, I'm 32 and this is my third pregnancy. I have a 6 yo dd, and a 3 year old dd. My due date based on my LMP, is May 26th. I found out on the 18th. I had an inkling after many little instances, this was not planned by any means. So it came as a surprise. I knew i had to take a test after returning home from a trip to Colorado, i walked into my house and could smell beer in my trash cans.
I love to hike, walk, read, and consider myself a lifelong learner. We have one dog who is near and dear to our whole family. My yoga practice keeps me grounded. My husband and i will be married 10 years this December. We met in second grade, have been lifelong friends, but we did not date until our twenties.
Beside my extremely keen sense of smell im feeling pretty good. No aversions, no cravings…I definitely cannot work out as hard as normal. Definitely still adjusting to the idea that we will now be a family of 5.
Introduce yourself: Hi I'm Carolyn and I live in the Portland, OR area
Due date? May 24 (might change when I see a provider)
How did you find out? Took a test on Sunday! Didn't believe it at first, let's just say the circumstances were not great for conception but life finds a way. Made my husband drive me to the store at 7am to buy more tests.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): This will be our first. I'm a project manager (unfortunately I'm an independent contractor so I don't get any maternity leave). My husband is a software engineer. I'm also a writer in my free time and I'm working on publishing my first book (now the rush is on and I want to get it out before the little one is here).
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? A little nausea and sore breasts, no vomiting yet. Pretty stressed! We started a remodel a few months ago so we're trying to wrap that up extra fast now.
I thought I had already posted here, but oops! !!TW: previous birth complication and loss!!
Introduce yourself: My name is Katie.
Due date? 5/12/2023 but will deliver no later that April 17, 2023 because of previous complicated emergency C-section.
How did you find out? I found out with a pregnancy test, but I just had had a feeling for about a week and and half before I could test.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have 2 stepsons who are 10 and 7, and we have an angel daughter who passed at 2 weeks old in August of 2021 after a short battle with totalizing NEC. We miss her dearly, and after a very difficult delivery with her, it took some courage to try again. I work as a project manager and administrative assistant for a flooring and lighting company. I love crafting, geeky TV and movies, wrestling and alt/punk rock. My husband, Kevin, and I have been together almost 3 years. We've been through a lot together which makes this second chance both a miracle and the root of great anxiety.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Having random, but mostly at night, nausea and heartburn. I am bloated and am already fighting the gas pains and constipation. I'm absolutely exhausted all the time. Emotionally, I am a bundle of nerves and anxiety. I want desperately to have this baby, but after our last experience, I'm terrified of what could happen, both to me and our baby.
Hey everyone!! My name is Shelby. I’ve been apart of theknot/thebump community for about 11 years now. (I’ve had a few different accounts because I’m awful with passwords 😂). Currently pregnant with my third and last baby! It’s bittersweet. We currently have two boys. A 6 year old and a 12 month old. The idea of two under two is terrifying but exciting at the same time.
My due date is May, 29th
I found out really early. My husband and I were trying so I started taking pregnancy test at about 8DPO. I got my first vvvvvvvvfl at 9DPO and they’ve been getting progressively darker since.
My husband and I have been together 3 years (oldest has a different dad) and got married in July. I’m 30 and he’s 33. I’m a May baby as well so it’s fun to think I might share a birthday with one of my kids 😂
I’m feeling good so far! A little sore in the stomach area and the nauseous has already started.
How did you find out? Has anyone ever had a dream before they even tested? I tested before my missed period and it was a faint line. Period usually lasts 3 days, never came, tested on third day with 2 lines still faint. Didn’t get my hops up. Couple days later when fiance came back from a weekend trip tested again with dye stealer. I was convinced after that on visit next Friday for lab work =/
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): Lately I’ve been so busy coordinating my wedding, now I’m still busy with that plus more. You can definitely say this was unexpected. But it’s a delightful surprise.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Symptoms insomnia, exhausted, brain fog, emotional, eating everything spicy, can’t tolerate anything sweet no vomiting it just tastes off. Sore nipples, cramping here and there 🤷🏾♀️. Definitely emotional.
Introduce yourself: My name is Karissa! I’m 26 and this is will be our second baby!
Due date? May 21st but is subject to change
How did you find out? I took a test two days after my missed period! We had been trying for about 4 months.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I have been together for 4 years. We have a 2.5 year old! She’s incredibly sassy and extremely sweet! I am a nurse on a surgical floor and my husband is a stock broker. He currently is working independently and day trades from home. I love to go for long walks, garden and do yoga!
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I’m feeling pretty good! Just some sore boobs. Have a weird craving for lemons?? I was pretty asymptomatic last pregnancy too. Feeling okay emotionally! Obviously it’s scary and we have lots of things to do around the house before we’re ready for baby. But I’m feeling so much less anxious than the last pregnancy!
Hi! I’m SJ and I’m in SC. Just found out I’m expecting my second.
Due date? 5/28/23
How did you find out? I had an appointment to talk about my fertility testing and realized I was late. I took a test that morning. My dr appt got to be about pregnancy rather than fertility!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I’m 41 and have a 3.5 year old boy. I spent my 20’s having fun and my 30’s building a career. I met my partner at work at 36. I work in rev ops remotely and I love boating, hiking and yoga.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I’ve been crying easily over anything and have had a few waves of nausea. I’m expecting the nausea to fully set in next week.
Introduce yourself: Hi everyone, I'm Courtney. I live in NC and am 40.
Due date? 5/22 based on my LMS
How did you find out? Because we were actively trying (we plan for this to be our last baby, the missing piece of our puzzle), I track my entire cycle. I’m never late. This time I was so I tested. Couple that with heartburn, fatigue, tender breast & nausea and I had a strong suspicion I was.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): we are a blended family with 5 kids, 3 boys & 2 girls, ranging from 11-20. I work from home, full time, as a technical advisor/team leader for a HCM company. I love animals & we have a lot. I love drawing, music, movies, hiking, traveling, going to the beach, sports, you name it. I’m pretty laidback and easy to get along with really lol. My fiancé (been together 9 years) is 7 months older than I am and he’s stoked for this pregnancy (probably more than I am).
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Nervous bc I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks on New Years Eve but hopeful. I have all the symptoms though: exhausted, emotional (I cried the other day while watching The Conjuring 2 with my fiancé bc Ed told Lorraine he loved her LOL), nauseous, extremely full/tender breast, occasional headache, things like that. But I love every second of it bc it means we are doing good!
I look forward to getting to know a lot of you and share this experience with you!
I'm J, and I'm 39. I have a 4yo boy and then suffered secondary infertility. After three miscarriages we switched to IVF with genetic testing, and I'm now 5+1 with our second try. Reallllllly hoping this sticks and our little boy will finally get his sibling and our family will be finished.
My due date is 5/26. My son was born 5/1, and I loved having a spring baby, so I'm excited. I never imagined there would be a 5y age gap, but we'll make the best of it.
Symptoms have been coming and going so far. The main one is burping. After every single bite of food or sip of a drink: burp. I've had a few bouts of nausea but it's not constant (yet--experience tells me that's coming). Also fatigue, sore nips, and vivid dreams!
The thing I mostly have to deal with is anxiety. The miscarriages make me feel like I will never really have a successful pregnancy again. I obsess over every little thing. And I'm going to be a WRECK for my 6w scan.
Anyway, glad to be here!
History (TW/loss/child):
7/2017 -- miscarriage at 6w 5/2018 -- DS born 3 days after due date, 8lb 4oz 9/2020 -- missed miscarriage at 9w / DNC 3/2021 -- miscarriage at 8w 7/2021 -- missed miscarriage at 8w / DNC 9/2021 -- IVF cycle #1 (FET 1/25/22)
Introduce yourself: Hi my name is Carolyn I'm 37 and my partner is 38 years old.
Due date? Based on Ovulation due May 29/23
How did you find out? This was our first month trying and I start taking test 7po. I finally tested positive on day 13. I was kind of shocked since it was out first month trying. I took 5 tests to make sure.
Tell us about yourself: I have a 17 year old that is in his last year of high school and I have a 12 year SD. We live a pretty busy life style and always on the go. We have two golden retrievers!
I had a tummy tuck 3 years ago this November (I had been bugging for a baby and he was a hard no, not sure why he changed his mind) so this is going to be very hard for me to be gaining weight after working so hard. I'm also worried about how painful it going to be on my stomach!
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Symptoms have hit very hard and fast. My first pregnancy I had nothing it was th easiest pregnancy, I'm sure that's because I was 19. This time I have had alot of light cramping (no bleeding) sore back, breast are killing me, and my stomach is a mess from all the vitamins.
Hey everyone! I’m Monica. I’m 27 years old and this is my first pregnancy! I was off BC since May, but we didn’t actually start REALLY trying (calculation ovulation etc) until August. My husband had health issues when he was young so he was unsure weather we would be able to conceive without further treatment so we were VERY surprised, but oh so happy.
My due date according to my last period is 5/27.
It was a bit of a whirlwind the way I found out. It was 10 days after ovulation and I was packing to leave for a work trip the next day. I’d misplaced something and tore my house apart trying to find it. While looking for it, I came across the pregnancy tests. I realized it’s been the first month I hadn’t even thought about weather or not it was within the window to test. Since I was leaving for three weeks on my work trip I figured it wouldn’t hurt to test the next morning just for better peace of mind. I woke up around 3 am. Took the test, half way fell back asleep while waiting and then woke right up when I saw the faint second line. It was ssoooo faint, but it was there. I was not able to take another test until two days later (I got a digital and the early test) and both were very positive.
My husband is 30 years old. He and I have known each other for 6 years. Dating since 2017 and married for a year. (Baby was conceived on our anniversary!) since I was on a work trip and would be away for 3 weeks I had to resort to telling him over the phone. Not ideal but he was SO happy! we have the sweetest puppy named Guinny. He is a former Marine and now works for the state’s Probation and Parole Office. I’ve been in the military for 7 years and work in IT as a contractor for the Military on the civilian side.
I get nausea really bad if I get too full or when I’m hungry. So I have to eat small portions all day basically. My breasts have been really tender the last couple of days and I’ve been mildly cramping (on and off) pretty much since I found out. I am SUPER tired and have to pee constantly.
It’s super excited to be a part of a community like this one. I’ve already seen/read countless hours of information and still feel anxious about not knowing what’s to come. But I’m overall grateful and excited to embark on this journey!
How did you find out? I thought I got my period before my friend’s baby shower (was a couple days late) and I was super bummed. Interestingly enough when I got home later in the day, I wasn’t really bleeding anymore. Took a test and BAM.. a faint, but visible line!! Took 3 other types of tests over the next 2 days and yup, it was just implantation bleeding!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): This is my husband and I’s first baby!!! We have a 3 year old golden retriever and he’s the best boy. He is so good with babies and kids, so we can’t wait! We are about to get started on some house projects, so we can be all ready for when the baby comes! Otherwise I’m just your typical corporate professional who loves to unwind with bravo and a hot girl walk 😂
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? So far, not too bad! I have had indigestion almost daily, sore boobs which I swear have gotten bigger, random nausea, light cramping, gas/bloating, and reduced appetite. I still feel like I haven’t felt the brunt of my symptoms yet because it’s still kinda early. And I’m over analyzing everything but trying to remember that every pregnancy is different.
We are so excited but nervous at the same time. I’m laying low these days trying to stay healthy and calm. We are just beyond ready to be parents and I know we need to trust the process (and in God)!!! 🙏🏻
Introduce yourself: Hi everyone, I’m Casi. I’m 30yo and this is my first!
Due date? 5/3/23 (8w and 5d)
How did you find out? I tested thinking I had missed my period ( also had all the period symptoms and no period) but apparently I had not because I later found out that I must’ve tested positive when I was only 3w! Found out the first day I started my new job, lol!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): No children, just 2 kitty cats. My boyfriend and I have been together for 1.5 years. We weren’t planning anything, but we didn’t mind not being careful either. We’re both happy. I am a work from home ux designer.
How are you feeling? Tired, sore breasts (especially after not moving for awhile), bloated, crampy at times, basically all food doesn’t sound good to me unless it’s fruit or ensure… but not really any vomiting yet aside from once. Pain wise I feel better than normal. Also I have EDS&POTS and Hashimoto’s if there are any other mamas out there with the same.
I am 35 and this is my first pregnancy. I took a home test a couple days before my missed period and it was positive, and we couldn’t believe it, so I took 2 more, just to be sure. My husband and I recently had a lot of life changes (moved far away-but closer to family, I got a new job, bought our first house, etc) so we held off on TTC until this month, and bam, here we are.
My due date is 5/12 according to my LMP, but we have our first appointment with an OB on 10/6.
I am a high school art teacher, so my job keeps me very active and busy, which has been a real challenge. This first trimester fatigue is soooo real. We have a very sweet cat, but no other pets or kids. In my free time, I like to hike, work out, and spend time with my family.
As I mentioned, I’ve been feeling beyond exhausted constantly, yet not sleeping well, and I’ve been feeling pretty nauseated, but luckily no throwing up. Sore breasts and minimal cramping on occasion too. Aside from that, we’re excited, but also very nervous, which I expect is normal with a first pregnancy. I’m happy to be here in a group of so many women going through the same things!
Due date: May 28th according to my app. Doctors appointment is Thursday.
How did you find out: My husband suggested I test since I went off my birth control in August and my periods are not regular yet. Tested Sunday morning and it was positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I’m 25 years old, my husband and i just celebrated our one year anniversary in August. We have a senior kitty named Baby also known as Babybear and a 1 year old aussie-mix named Koki, they get along surprisingly well because Koki is the laziest cattle dog to exist. I am a kindergarten teacher (perfect timing due date am i right?) and my husband is an aerospace engineer. I love gardening, coffee shops, my students, yoga, and orangetheory classes.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally): fatigue and tender breasts. as a teacher im so exhausted, love my kids but lord it’s tough.
May 25th due date...but I have been a week to two weeks late with my other kids, so I'm just anticipating a June baby from the get go.
This baby will be number 5. I have 2 boys and 2 girls, so this baby gets to be a tie breaker!
DH and I have been married for 7 years and our oldest turns 6 in a few weeks 😜
We live a homestead/from scratch lifestyle, and I homeschool, so life is just...crazy. But I'm loving it!
It's still early, but so far symptoms are nausea and being oh so tired. Oh, and also strangly horny. Like, how is it possible for me to be too nauseous to want to eat food and desperately want my husband to come home so we can have secret closet sex at the same time? 🤷
Just turned 41 9/25 and took pregnancy test that morning. So God blessed us with the greatest gift for my birthday after trying for 6-7 month.
Husband and I recently got married 2/22. He doesn’t have any children of his own, while I have two girls 16 & 10 from previous relationship. Feels like a new mom alll over again and super excited. I’ve only told my bestie, and not sure how to tell the girls yet.
I’m a nurse and plan to work as long as I can and then take a year off with the baby.
Symptoms: bloating and daily naps since conception. And boobs feel like their gonna explode. No nausea (but really never got morning sickness with previous pregnancies)
Hi! My name is Rieley. I am 24 years old and this is my first pregnancy. I have hypothyroidism and have had pregnancy symptoms on and off while on birth control for the last year. There were a few times at first where I felt so sure I was pregnant because of the symptoms I started having but testing was always negative. I missed my period in August which I thought was strange but not out of the ordinary. When it never came in September I tested and was shocked for it to actually be positive! We thought that I was about 8 weeks along but at my first ob appt it wad reduced to 5. I am considered high risk because of my myriad of health concerns but I am so excited. My husband and I have been together for 4 years, married for 3. We live in Utah so everyone is always asking us when we're going to have kids. We just adopted a goldendoodle puppy at the end of June which has been wonderful. This is perfect timing for what I've always wanted family wise but never thought it would happen unplanned.
I am a music teacher for work and am self employed. It is wonderful that I get to choose my own hours and mostly work in the evenings when I'm feeling more energized.
Symptoms so far have been mild. I have had incredibly sore breasts and bloating. I've also started having mild nausea midmorning. Other than that I'm excited to be am expecting mama!
Introduce yourself: Jennifer Driver - 33 and this is baby #1!!!
Due date? May 31
How did you find out? I’ve never been late during a period, ever!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I am a former teacher turned Realtor and my husband is a nurse in the ICU. I enjoy hiking, hammocking, and laying on the couch!
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Overall I am feeling okay. Little nausea, dizziness, and definitely fatigue. I am not sleeping these days!
I am terrified about becoming a mom, but I’m so excited as well!
How did you find out? Well… I was 3 months PP and had already had one period. My expected period was late, but hormones are whacky after birth right? So I didn’t think much of it. But after several days, I thought I’d better check just in case. (But like, it’ll be negative, of course.) Dollar store cheapie, positive right away. Blown away. I’ve tested 4 more times since then (love seeing that little positive no matter what lol), and definitely pregnant again. Irish twins! My first appointment is 10/18.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have two other children: DD and DS. Tried for 6 months for DD and 4 years for DS. So extra in awe of being pregnant again already! We are Catholic and submit fully to will of God, so we’re just very honored to have the task to bring another beautiful soul into the world.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? My DS birth was amazing and I recovered so fast. I feel no fear and really no exaggerated symptoms. Tired as all get out. Achy breasts. Some cramping. A liiiiittle queasy the last couple days. But it’s early! We’ll see what happens!
Introduce yourself: Hi everyone! Im Katie. I’ve been on the bump for a few years and excited to get to know more of you in this group!
Due date? May 14
How did you find out? I had weird dreams, totally was one of my weirdest symptoms last time early on. Took a cheap digital which was negative (I took it way too early in my cycle), a week later I knew it had to be wrong, took another and it was positive! Had an appt at 6 weeks and they even did a vaginal US to confirm. I think in USA they didn’t do that until like 12 weeks my last pregnancy. So, very cool.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have a son who will be 3 in November, and we have been living in Germany for 1.5 years for my husbands work. (We move back to Illinois, USA in a couple weeks tho, for good)
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I’m pretty okay physically, other than I am so bloated I look about 20 weeks….but emotionally I am just so worried about a loss and our big move is really going to be stressful. We’ve told both our parents annd I’ve told my best friend but others I think we will wait an few more weeks. Excited tho bc my cousin and I basically have the same due date which will be so fun!
Hello everyone my name is Breanna but every call me Bre. Im 29 years old and this is my first pregnancy.
Due date is May 14th....a day before my 30th. Kinda hoping to have him or her on my birthday.
Well since getting my IUD taken out in March, i had only had 2 periods. What gave it away for me was when my husband said "babe your boobs are huge, you should probably take a test" and he was right.
I have been married to husband for almost 4 years, we live in the farmhouse house that he grew up with our 2 dogs, Marvin and Gym. South central Minnesota is our location. I love being active, going outside, helping my husband around the farm, spending time with our families, traveling.
The nausea hit pretty much hit right after 5 weeks and and it hit hard. I was then taking vitamin b6 for nausea and i have now figured out that, that is why i was actually getting sick and feeling nauseas all day. Appetite is hit or miss, but i know need to eat every 2 hrs. Oyster crackers and 7 up are my saving grace. My husband has been very supportive. He saw me looking and feeling nauseas while trying to eat and he came and rubbed my back. We are very excited for this new journey and also scared but the Nugget is a blessing. Ha nickname for baby - Nugget We are not going to find out the gender.
Introduce yourself: Hi! My name is Shannon and I am due May 29, 2023. This is my third round of IVF and second transfer so we knew very early. I am 41 and this will be our first child. My first and only pregnancy ended in an ectopic so I was extremely nervous before our first US. Today we found out she implanted in the right place and heard her heart beat❤️❤️❤️. I am tired, nauseous, and have crazy hot flashes at night but I am also so incredibly happy and so excited!
Might be a little late to the party - but here we go!
My name is Mel I’m 28! I'm based in NYC and I’m really excited to be expecting our first baby.
My due date is May 1st.
My cycles have always been irregular so being late wasn’t a surprise. When that test , which had been negative every-time for the past four years, immediately turned positive? and I was overcome with a lot of confusion (And questions lol) which became excitement.
I have two small dogs. I’m an project manager for the pediatrics division of a major hospital here . I have a wide research background in some pretty cool neurophysiological projects. Something cool I’ve done recently is running the Brooklyn Half Marathon and L I was preparing to run the New York City Marathon this year🏃🏽♀️.
I also am a huge foodie 😋.
My spouse also works for a hospital system too. Our favorite movie is Disney’s Up and we enjoy hiking on weekends 🥾.
I’m feeling good. I’ve been congested at night, throwing up bile occasionally (we love an acid reflux queen) and fatigue. I’ve had ALOT of taste aversions due to my acid: sour, fried, saucy and spicy foods (This crossed a lot of foods off my list lol). I do crave different types of beans.
I’ve also just been anxious in between appointments, especially during my commute.
Hi, I’m Chantel. I’m 37 years old and this will be my third child.
Due Date: May 30th.
About myself: I’ve been married to my husband for 8 years. I have a daughter (6) and son (3). Both are autistic so I’m a full time stay at home mom. Praying #3 will be healthy and “neurotypical”. Love my kiddies, but man I don’t think I can handle a third autistic child. So tired! This one is a bit of a surprise. We planned to stop at #2 but daughter prayed for a baby sister lol.
Symptoms: Nausea, motion sickness, fatigue, and hunger. I’m so hungry all the time! I didn’t gain much weight with my other two until my 5th month, but this time I feel like I gained 10 lbs and I’m only 6 weeks! My first OB appt isn’t until the 13th so there’s a lot of anticipation building!
Introduce yourself: Hello! I’m Olivia, I’m 27 and this is my first pregnancy!
Due date? May 22nd, 2023 according to the app- my first prenatal appointment isn’t until 10/18
How did you find out? I was meal prepping for my husband and I one Sunday, and I felt sooo tired. I laid down and took a nap which I NEVER do. My husband was like “maybe you’re pregnant” and so the next morning before work I took a pregnancy test and there was my BFP! We had been TTC, so we were so excited and filled with joy.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I are both high school teachers - we currently have 2 cats. I’m in my last year of my master’s program, so I’ll be graduating at 9 months pregnant lol- we like to travel, hike, and watch movies together! My husband’s a big sports fan, and I like to crochet. We both love reading and have built quite the library for ourselves.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I am feeling exhausted at 8 weeks! My boobs are in so much pain- that’s honestly the worst part. I roll over the wrong way and I yelp. I haven’t had too much nausea yet- just waves here and there. Currently, my hips and back are a bit sore. Emotionally, I am cautiously excited. I feel like I’m anxious and always hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Any ideas on how to cope with that feeling?
Hi! I’m Sam and this is my first time being pregnant. My husband and I got married this past June. My due date is currently May 13th! This is based on LMP and first ultrasound.
We found out in early September. I tested on the day my period was due and all 3 tests came back positive! We were shocked (but so excited) since we had just started trying, and we thought it would take at least a few months.
My husband and I have been together for over 10 years. We bought our first home last February and have done a lot of renovations since. We are looking forward to working on the nursery in the coming months! We also have a cat who we love so much.
Weeks 6 and 7 were full of nausea but I’m happy to say that’s gotten way better. Tender breasts and fatigue are pretty much my only symptoms now, but it’s totally manageable!
Hi everyone! My name is Trinity. I am 22 years old, and this is my third pregnancy but second child. I am from SK, Canada.
Due date: May 29 based on LMP
My period was 10 days late so I decided to test and it came back positive. Seen my doctor a few days later & she confirmed the pregnancy.
I do have a 5 year old daughter, no pets. I work as a youth care worker, and currently 2 years into nursing school.
As for symptoms, I have been really nauseous in the mornings and sometimes get nauseous throughout the day. My emotions are all over the place. And my breasts are so tender. Last thing is that I have trouble sleeping, I get so restless throughout the night (which may be totally unrelated).
Re: Introduce Yourself Here! Welcome to May 2023!

Due date May 21st eta from the calendar but all my others were 2-3 weeks early
My breasts have been hurting and my period was due last week, totally not expecting a positive test honestly though the shop was closed since my others are 10, 8 and 6.
So shocked, a bit nervous I actually kept a lot of baby things and just started getting rid of stuff earlier this year because I thought I was done.
Feeling okay no morning sickness yet and with all others I had it bad, so far just emotional, bit of mood swings and breast pain
Oh yea and I can't stay awake for more than 2 hours without needing a 4 hour nap 😂
1st doctor appointment next monday!!
I'm 31 from Kentucky. Pregnant (very VERY much by surprise) with #4.
EDD 5/25 based on LMP
We have 3 other kids (5.5, 3.5, 13 months) and had a mmc at 10 weeks between the younger two - hoping this surprise babe sticks around
My boobs started to hurt and I was exhausted so I knew without even testing, I was pregnant 🤣
2 LO 9 & 6 (from a previous marriage) first LO with my husband.
Exhausted!
Due date? 5/10/23 - 7 weeks tomorrow
So tired.
32 years old, first baby!
Due date: May 3rd, 2023
I took a test at 8dpo and it looked negative, I forgot about it but when I looked at it a couple days later there was a faint line. So at 12dpo I took a digital and it said yes!
Hi, I’m Kimberly.
Spouse/partner?):
I am a pharmacy tech and he delivers medical supplies.
Free Disney Tickers
Due date?
5/20/23 according to lmp
How did you find out?
Has anyone ever had a dream before they even tested? I tested before my missed period and it was a faint line. Period usually lasts 3 days, never came, tested on third day with 2 lines still faint. Didn’t get my hops up. Couple days later when fiance came back from a weekend trip tested again with dye stealer. I was convinced after that on visit next Friday for lab work =/
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
Lately I’ve been so busy coordinating my wedding, now I’m still busy with that plus more.
Due date? May 21st but is subject to change
How did you find out? I took a test two days after my missed period! We had been trying for about 4 months.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
My husband and I have been together for 4 years.
5/2018 -- DS born 3 days after due date, 8lb 4oz
9/2020 -- missed miscarriage at 9w / DNC
3/2021 -- miscarriage at 8w
7/2021 -- missed miscarriage at 8w / DNC
9/2021 -- IVF cycle #1 (FET 1/25/22)
I had a tummy tuck 3 years ago this November (I had been bugging for a baby and he was a hard no, not sure why he changed his mind) so this is going to be very hard for me to be gaining weight after working so hard. I'm also worried about how painful it going to be on my stomach!
I’m Monica. I’m 27 years old and this is my first pregnancy! I was off BC since May, but we didn’t actually start REALLY trying (calculation ovulation etc) until August. My husband had health issues when he was young so he was unsure weather we would be able to conceive without further treatment so we were VERY surprised, but oh so happy.
we have the sweetest puppy named Guinny. He is a former Marine and now works for the state’s Probation and Parole Office. I’ve been in the military for 7 years and work in IT as a contractor for the Military on the civilian side.
Due date? 5/18 (going by my LMP)
Due date:
May 28th according to my app. Doctors appointment is Thursday.
How did you find out:
My husband suggested I test since I went off my birth control in August and my periods are not regular yet. Tested Sunday morning and it was positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I’m 25 years old, my husband and i just celebrated our one year anniversary in August.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally):
fatigue and tender breasts. as a teacher im so exhausted, love my kids but lord it’s tough.
EDD 5/30 by LMP
Praying for a healthy and successful pregnancy.
Xoxo,
RD
Due date? May 31
How did you find out? I’ve never been late during a period, ever!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I am a former teacher turned Realtor and my husband is a nurse in the ICU. I enjoy hiking, hammocking, and laying on the couch!
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Overall I am feeling okay. Little nausea, dizziness, and definitely fatigue. I am not sleeping these days!
I am terrified about becoming a mom, but I’m so excited as well!
Due date? EDD 5/26
Due date? May 14
How did you find out?
Ha nickname for baby - Nugget
We are not going to find out the gender.
Our nickname for baby is- little bean🫘.
Hello!
Spouse/partner?):
My husband and I are both high school teachers - we currently have 2 cats.
We found out in early September. I tested on the day my period was due and all 3 tests came back positive! We were shocked (but so excited) since we had just started trying, and we thought it would take at least a few months.
My husband and I have been together for over 10 years. We bought our first home last February and have done a lot of renovations since. We are looking forward to working on the nursery in the coming months! We also have a cat who we love so much.
Weeks 6 and 7 were full of nausea but I’m happy to say that’s gotten way better. Tender breasts and fatigue are pretty much my only symptoms now, but it’s totally manageable!
