Hey everyone!! Cautiously super excited to be here!
Due date? Another one for Feb 3rd!
How did you find out?
TW!!
My husband and I just started trying after a loss in January at 5 weeks. I tested early (5 & 3 days before period) and had 2 negatives but then my period was 2 days late so I figured why not check again. I thought I felt myself ovulate a few days later than my period tracker suggested I should. My cycle has still been a little wonky since my loss.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am a SAHM to an almost 5yo and a newly 2yo, both boys. Their birthdays are July 3 and May 3 so we’re cracking up over here at the Feb 3 due date. I’ve joked I only birth on the 3rd since my second son was born. We’ll see if the trend continues. I’ve been a SAHM since May 2019 and I love it. We bought our forever home last fall and the boys and I have been working diligently on our first garden since it started warming up. I homeschool my older son and plan to add in some preschool for my younger this fall.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?). I’m exhausted. That is always my first symptom and what prompted my first early pregnancy test. I’ve also started having vivid dreams which for me occur more frequently during pregnancy. I haven’t made a first appointment yet for a couple reasons. Since we moved outside my midwifery’s county I need to find a new provider😭 and I’m super sad about it. And I also started calling around to meet new midwives right before my January loss so I’m superstitiously avoiding it.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? I feel the best after a shower. It’s so rejuvenating and I definitely didn’t take advantage enough before having kids.
@fuscok88 That would be awesome if this baby came on the 3rd too! What a neat family thing! I just took a shower (it's 95 degrees where I am!) and it is rejuvenating!
@lexilougolden I’m really kinda hoping this one does come on the 3rd. I went 41+1 with my first and my second was 39+5 so I expect to at least go full term 😂 but I’ve heard 3rd births are a wildcard so who knows.
Due date 2/01/22 and I've! Also been told 2/09/22 ...so who knows 🙃
Found out: I just had a feeling one morning.. I took 3 total that Day.. went to Disney took another 2. Cause I just couldn't believe it. Came home told my significant other and he couldn't believe it either. But very excited 😂😍
Feelings: so far are just sore breast, mild cramping, and hunger pains, I already had a strong sense of smell before, and now it's worse. But no food aversion or morning sickness...yet. lots of anxiety for sure but trying to keep it at bay.
Feel good: going to Disney makes me feel better. I get my daily walking exercise and burst of serotonin.. I also live in orlando ..that's why I'm there so much lol
@alexxajams Congrats! We have the same estimated due date (2-1-22) How fun that you are so close to Disney! That would be a great place to unwind and de-stress! I usually take to the mountains for a hike
Congratulations, @BusinessWife! I've seen you around these boards throughout the years although I don't think we've ever been in the same place at the same time. I'm so happy to see your post here! Wishing you an uneventful 9 months! ❤
Aw, thank you so much! I am hoping too, for a completely uneventful time between now and February... We'll take all the good vibes we can get. <3 @galentine Not going to lie, I got a little excited to see your name pop up, actually. Hope you're doing well!
Hi Everyone - I'm cautiously joining in from the Infertility page with @BusinessWife . I just got my second beta HCG result and things are looking good so far. I was really active on The Bump when I had my son in 2017 - still on my BMB Facebook group and I co admin the Facebook group for PAIF. I'll apologize in advance if I'm not as great as you all at responding/participating but I'm going to try! My Aug 17 group was amazing support last time and still are.
Due date? February 10 2021
How did you find out? at 5dp5dt I took a FRER out of frustration with the wait and was shocked when I got a strong line! Tested every day after that which only got darker. At 13dp5dt my beta was 946 and today at 15dp5dt it was 2285.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) First off, as this is usually the only unique thing, is I'm Canadian! I'm a mom to my almost 4 year old Parker (IUI baby) and have a zoo of pets - Finn our Aussie, two litter trained rabbits & a chinchilla. I've been married for just over 5.5 years now to my DH. I'm an HR Manager for a steel company and love my job!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) So far I'm feeling pretty good emotionally after a crappy journey. Physically the fatigue is hitting pretty good - I'm hoping for a first trimester like with my first where fatigue was my main symptom/
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? This is kinda perfect timing but one of the little guys are my son's daycare told him this morning that he thought I was pretty lol Holy warm and fuzzy feeling. So cute.
Me: 37 DH: 37 - Married 10.2015 ❤️ Canadian DX: Endometriosis - Stage 4, DOR, RPL
Hey everyone! Super excited to share this journey with all of you!
Due date? 2/16
How did you find out? I started testing at 8 dpo because I have zero self control and got my BFP at 10 dpo!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a beautiful 2.5 yo sour patch kid of a son and a 10 year old boxer. I work as an accountant for a small community bank (that I love!). My husband and I have been together for 12 years and married for 6.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Feeling great! Just peeing like crazy! Tried to schedule my first appointment on Friday but my OBs computers crashed so I’ll be calling on Monday.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Actually getting dressed with real clothes and doing my hair and makeup. Covid has had me working from home for over a year now and I’ve kinda fallen into the yoga pants messy bun routine so even if I’m just going to the grocery I get excited to look human!
@Busin@BusinessWife I think we were in the same group for our 2.5 year olds! Happy to be on the same board again! Congrats!
@Nikir022 yay, congrats!! I feel ya on the getting dressed and ready. I work from home too and the other day I started wearing dresses because I miss getting dressed up!
Introduce yourself: Hi!! I guess I go here now? Nice to meet you all!
Due date? 2/15
How did you find out? By the time I was one day late, I could feel sx enough that I was pretty sure, so I poas but it was expired/leftover from my last pregnancy, and not working. I waited till Saturday to test again, and here I am.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m mom of 2 girls 7 and 2.5, married 10+ years to MH, together 15. I work in academic medicine/mental health. I love getting outside, hikes, beach, biking, usually with the kids.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) The shock is wearing off, but after trying for almost 2 years with RE consults for my second, we decided we were done for practical reasons & not wanting to go through the rollercoaster of ttgp again. And this time, all it took was one time ostensibly 8-9 days pre-ovulation, and here I am. So I guess I’m happy but mentally trying to rearrange everything to adapt. Physically I have increased sensitivity to smells, peeing more, and a little queasy.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Laughing with my kids, getting to wash my hair *and* shave my legs during the same shower, clothes that fit well. Pre-covid, I’d have also said a good pair of heels lol.
🙋♀️ HI everyone! Well, I'm pregnant! I am expecting #3 on February 14, and will be exactly 5 weeks tomorrow. I am 33 years old, and have not been pregnant in 10 years. My youngest son will be 10 in August, and my oldest son just turned 13 in February. They are the absolute loves of my life, and to say that being their mom is my favorite would be a gross understatement. I had them with my ex husband, who abandoned ship when my youngest was 1 and we have not seen him since. I raised them alone until about 3 years ago when I met my new husband. He is a gem of a human and I am grateful to have him every single day. He brought with him two son, one which is biological, and one which is his out of love. My younger step son is biologically my husband's. My older step son is his out of love. He is the older brother of his biological son, but he has been in his life since he was very young. We love him, we help raise him, and we don't dare miss a ball game or school assembly. Their mother is extremely cool and allows us unlimited access and participation in their lives without ever having had the need for a custody arrangement. I have a wonderful situation where we only have love and peace (it's a real thing, you guys). My sons and his sons took to each other immediately, and call each other "brother", not step. Our baby on the way will be born into such love. We have not told the news to our boys yet, we are waiting for a perfect opportunity to tell them all together, and all in an exciting way. Plus, we'd like to get a bit further along and ensure that we are healthy first. We will be planning a home birth for this baby. I had a home birth with my second son, and it was wonderful and peaceful. I am hoping for the same. So far, I have very few symptoms. I have one craving, but no aversions. Well.... There are things that I am definitely not attracted to right now, but not necessarily grossed out by either. My boobs are a bit sore, and I feel a bit of heaviness in my uterus, but it's mild. My low back and hips get a bit sore at times, but even that gets better if my husband rubs them.
Hi all! I've been lurking for a few days, decided I should probably go ahead and introduce myself
Due date? Feb 3
How did you find out? My husband had been bugging me to test for a few days and I kept telling him no, I wasn't pregnant and wasn't going to waste a test. I finally decided to take one just to prove I wasn't and shut him up. Haha, jokes on me.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband has 4 boys (17, 16, 14 and 3), this will be our first together. We also have 2 dogs and 2 cats, so our house can he a bit chaotic at times. I was a preschool teacher for about 10 years, then became a restaurant manager, that is where hubs and I met. He is the district manager so we felt it was best for me to step down from the general manager position but I still fill in at any of his stores when they need help, usually only about 1 day a week. I also help out with training when it is needed.. Our youngest has special needs, so I spend a lot of time working with him one on one and help out in his classroom as well.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Emotionally, the last couple of weeks have been a roller-coaster. I am 41, my husband is older than me, so while we very much want this baby, we have also had a lot of moments of "what in the world were we thinking trying to have a baby at our age?" Also dealing with a lot of fear and anxiety. Physically mostly just tired, and having increasing nausea. I have my first appointment tomorrow and because of our history I believe we will be having an ultrasound
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Just getting a shower and dressed in "real" clothes makes me feel not necessarily beautiful but put together and ready to take on whatever comes my way. My husband is very good about making me feel beautiful/good about myself with a sweet comment or gesture.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 2 LC; 11yo boy and 4yo girl. Psychiatrist. Love to read and I am really enjoying my Peloton 🤷🏻♀️ Married for 14 years this July. Together 19 years.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) first appointment will be Friday. I’m high risk. Had a loss in February this year at almost 24 weeks. Learned I have CHI (where my body attacks the placenta like it’s a transplant) so I need to work closely with my high risk ob from day 1. She’s already aware of my positive. I’m excited and scared…appropriately.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Staying active.
How did you find out? My BFF texted me a pic of her PG test on Friday night and she was like, "Have you gotten your period yet?" and when I told her no, she told me to pee on a stick, so I did and it was positive. Then I peed on three more just to be sure, lol. So, now we're knocked up together since our cycles were synced up. What's funny is neither of us told the other one we were TTC.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): MH and I have been married since 2016 (together since 2013). We have an 8mo daughter and four very large dogs (2 mastiffs, a pitbull, and a german shepherd mix). I'm in the military and he works in computer-aided design for nuclear propulsion.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?): A little surreal. It took us 9 months and one loss before we got pregnant last time, and we had only been trying for 2 cycles this time around, so it's a bit of a shock. But, also, it's like we just went through this, so there's not a lot that we need, and we know what to expect. As far as symptoms go, I'm peeing more and get nauseated if I don't eat. Also, I have a weird numbness/tingling in the lower right side of my face & chin that I saw my doc about today. He thinks it's because of fluid retention causing pressure on my facial nerve, so he put in a referral to neurology for me. I'll be scheduling my first prenatal visit once he puts that referral in the system, too. Since I'm AMA, they treat me as high-risk, so I get to do all the prenatal genetic testing early on, too.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Feeling healthy makes me feel beautiful. I always feel my most healthy when I'm training for a race (long-distance runner), because I'm usually eating better and sleeping well, not to mention staying hydrated and the added benefit of feeling toned and fitting into my clothes nicely (I had really bad body image issues in my twenties).
@BusinessWife - yep! I was shocked, too. It took us 9 months and one loss to get pregnant last time, so I thought that given our ages, it'd be a challenge again, but nope! I guess we were just meant to have 2 under 2.
@photographerwife - thanks! I was recently active over there starting in April, so it was 2 cycles/2 months of trying this time around. In fact, I thought I was out this cycle because I ovulated almost 5 days late.
How did you find out? I track my cycle mainly because my life is so crazy, it’s nice to have something that’s regular that doesn’t surprise me. So, after a day or so after I should’ve started I did the POAS. Immediately positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have three DDs from a previous marriage - an 18 yo, and 15 yo twins. DH and I have 3 yo DS. We have a live-in nanny (who might actually be DH’s 22 yo DD). We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. DH and I have two businesses - restoring and selling classic cars and auto body paint and repair. And we’re about to start building a house.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?): I’m not sure how I’m feeling yet. I’m almost 46. DH is almost 50. We have a lot going on with our 4 kids and businesses. TW - we were trying when DS was still a baby, but had an early loss. We got to the point where we were good with our little guy and at our ages, felt like we were done. This is a big surprise. I was actually about to schedule an IUD and then get some Cool Sculpting. But, we have a great family and this little one will be loved. My pregnancy with DS was tough. I’m a little surprised that I’m not already begging my OB/GYN for zofran.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Mascara!
@alwayssomethingnew welcome! that does sound like a surprise! I hear you on not knowing how to feel yet, while also knowing the new addition will be loved as a new part of your family
@alwayssomethingnew My Dad loves to restore classic trucks and cars! I help him out on the weekends so Im hoping you can share some projects here Here are the last two trucks he put together, they were in pieces on a roll off when we got them
We weren’t trying but we weren’t stopping anything either, hoping it would happen when it was right. I was a day late (never happens) so before bed I figured I would take a test in the morning but I could not sleep, so at 3am I got up to poas thinking I would get the negative and get some rest. Nope, immediate positive. Woke up my DH to tell the news.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My DH and myself have been together for 2years, no kids, and are moving to new house/new city/new jobs in 2 days!! Needless to say, we are both feeling overwhelmed at the moment!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I am 31 and pregnant with my first. My main symptoms are thirst and sore boobs but I am a bit worried about my increased risks due to age.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Summer days enjoying the sunshine. We live in the PNW so seeing the sun is always a joy!
Welcome @knottie2994b5c722f77e40 You may want to head on over to the knot and update your user name so it's easier to tag you as we all get to know each other better. Once you log out and then log back in again, it should appear in the bump as well. Congratulations on all the exciting news! I can see how it could feel overwhelming. Luckily, it sounds like all good things! You shouldn't have any AMA related concerns yet at 31, if it makes you feel any better. I had my first at 35, and have had totally uneventful pregnancies. Some younger women just have bad luck. :/ Hopefully, you will have a happy and smooth pregnancy, delivery and transition with YH into the wonderful world of parenthood. What type of work are you and YH in? Is it going to be a far move?
I’ve been lurking for a few days so I guess I should introduce myself.
Due date? 2/23
How did you find out? At a routine Dr.’s appointment. We’ve struggled with IF for over a decade and our 2 kids required medical intervention, so we’ve never prevented.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m mid 30’s, DH will be 40. We have 11 and 8 year old girls. We enjoy traveling, crime TV, and good food.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Overwhelmed. This was quite the shock for us. I am nervous about such a large age gap and how our lives are going to change. I have a history of HG in my previous pregnancies so I am cautiously nervous I’ll have it again. First appointment was this week, lots of extra monitoring.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Getting dressed up.
Hi Everyone! (*TW* in the how are you feeling section of this post)
Introduce yourself: My name is Katie I’m 33 and live in the PNW. I’m excited to be here with all of you! It’s been a long while since I’ve been active on these boards.
Due date?
February 23rd
How did you find out?
Confirmed this afternoon my POS. Would have tested sooner but my husband accidentally bought an ovulation test instead of a pregnancy test lol.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’ve been married to my high school sweet heart for 13 years and have a 5 year old son and 3 year old identical twin boys. No pets although my husband has been trying to convince me to like the idea of getting a dog. Sadly I’m not much of a pet person… I’ll keep to my kids and plants 😂. I work in the medical field and started my own practice last year with my husband. My favorite things to do are garden and spend time outdoors.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
*TW* I had an extremely traumatic pregnancy journey with my identical twins in 2018. All the excitement of twins was quickly stripped away when there were medical concerns as early as 16weeks gestation. I ended up going to the doctors 3 times a week for intensive ultrasounds and lived in the hospital for a month until their emergent delivery at 28 weeks. 1 twin had a simple NICU journey but does have cerebral palsy and doesn’t walk yet. The other twin lived in the NICU for 10 months, came home on a ventilator and g-tube. They don’t have any of that now and are doing amazing but developmentally 1 year behind. All that to say, it’s hard not to be nervous. I’m hopeful this pregnancy will give me the closure I need.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Going on camping trips with my family and getting away from all the distractions life brings.
Introduce yourself: Hello! I’m Alylove11 and I’m so excited to be here!
Due date? 2/27
How did you find out? I started testing around 10DPO and saw a faint line.
Tell us about yourself My husband and I have been married for 12 years and we have 2 children DD (7) and DS (5), I was a part of both BMB groups for them (more so for Oct ‘13). This pregnancy means a lot since I have had recurrent miscarriages. I lost my first baby in Sept 17, Twins in August ‘20, Jan ‘21, and April ‘21. My doctor urged me to have have surgery to diagnose and remove endo, and I finally had the courage to do it. I had it done end of May and got pregnant on our first try! I’m a bit nervous because I tend to miscarry around 5-6 weeks.
Things you like to do? We love the outdoors! We just go back from vacationing in Gatlinburg, and loved the mountains. I love to do all sorts physical activities and always up for a challenge.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m feeling good, very tired and I felt somewhat nauseous this morning. I’ll take all the symptoms just to make it feel like we are going to make it full term. I’m doing ok emotionally, but it’s been a really rough 18 months. The miscarriages wrecked me each time, especially with the twins. My FIL passed away 2 months ago and my husband’s grandpa passed away 6 months ago. My mom fainted the last day of vacation, and I panicked thinking I was losing her too. Thankfully, she’s doing great! Sorry for being a Debbie downer,
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Hmm… I had to think about this one. 2 things- First, getting compliments on my empathy/caring side and secondly, feeling healthy with a strong, able body.
Introduce yourself: my name is Laura and I’m going to be a STM!
Due date? According to my apps I’m due Feb 22
How did you find out? The hubby and I had an oops lol and we didn’t stop it. Afterwards I checked my cycle calendar and I was 3 days from ovulation. We were planning on trying this fall anyways so what’s a few months early? So I took a test 3 days before I was supposed to start my period and boom! Took another test the following day and 2 more tests throughout the next week and all came back positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We have 1 boy named Oliver. He is 2 years 3 months and he is the sweetest boy! Great sleeper since he was 3 months old.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m feeling a little discouraged because I’m honestly feeling NO symptoms. I’m almost 5 weeks and feel completely normal. My first appt is July 22 for verification of pregnancy then July 29 for ultrasound. The wait seems soooooo long.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Being a mom!!
How did you find out? We were NTNP since early May and I tested early last week and had a negative test, then I tested again on Friday when I was 2 days late and had an instant positive. Tested again this morning and still positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am almost 34, and do home daycare. DH is 32 and is a police officer. I have 4 kids from a previous marriage (16, 14, 12, 8) and we have one son together, who will be a year old in July. We love being outside (camping, tubing, hiking, kayaking).
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Surprised but happy, no symptoms yet. Last pregnancy was really rough with morning sickness. I lost 20 lbs during first trimester, and I'm terrified that it will be the same way this time.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Having a girls day, getting mani/pedi..
Introduce yourself: Hey! I am a 38 yo mom of 2. This is my whoopsie pregnancy. I was more prepared for peri-menopause than this!
Due date? Feb 7th (Almost certainly 2 wks before that though)
How did you find out? Started my period which turned out to be spotting. When it disappeared I tested immediately and got pos tests and confirmation with OB.
Tell us about yourself: I have a 9yo daughter and 5 yo son. I was just about to have both kids in school at the same time and I am pretty sad to lose that. Just started my own business . Type 1 Diabetic puts me in the high risk category.
How are you feeling? So so tired. Also enormous. I have pregnancy bloat that looks like I am at 5 months instead of 7 wks! I have a feeling this won´t be a secret for too much longer. I am terrified because this isn´t something that I wanted. I am still kind of numb. I was so excited for my other kids and this is really throwing me. Pregnancy is also super hard on my body and I am worried about if/how I will handle another one. All of this is throwing me.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Being true to myself and my heart. Connecting with nature!!
Re: Introductions :)
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? I feel the best after a shower. It’s so rejuvenating and I definitely didn’t take advantage enough before having kids.

Well, I'm pregnant! I am expecting #3 on February 14, and will be exactly 5 weeks tomorrow. I am 33 years old, and have not been pregnant in 10 years.
Due date?
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Staying active.
Due date? Feb. 14th, 2022
Due with baby #2: Feb 2022
@photographerwife - thanks! I was recently active over there starting in April, so it was 2 cycles/2 months of trying this time around. In fact, I thought I was out this cycle because I ovulated almost 5 days late.
@chgilmore - hiya! Good to see a familiar face.

My DH and myself have been together for 2years, no kids, and are moving to new house/new city/new jobs in 2 days!! Needless to say, we are both feeling overwhelmed at the moment!
I am 31 and pregnant with my first. My main symptoms are thirst and sore boobs but I am a bit worried about my increased risks due to age.

I have a history of HG in my previous pregnancies so I am cautiously nervous I’ll have it again. First appointment was this week, lots of extra monitoring.
GTKY Fun fact: What makes you feel the most beautiful (inside and out!)? Getting dressed up.
My name is Katie I’m 33 and live in the PNW. I’m excited to be here with all of you! It’s been a long while since I’ve been active on these boards.
Due date?
I’ve been married to my high school sweet heart for 13 years and have a 5 year old son and 3 year old identical twin boys. No pets although my husband has been trying to convince me to like the idea of getting a dog. Sadly I’m not much of a pet person… I’ll keep to my kids and plants 😂. I work in the medical field and started my own practice last year with my husband. My favorite things to do are garden and spend time outdoors.
*TW*
I had an extremely traumatic pregnancy journey with my identical twins in 2018.
