Hello, My name is Elisha. 30 years old. Third baby on the way.
Due Date: I'm pretty sure March 21, but haven't had any dr. appointments yet. First time mom? If not, number/ages of other children? 2 boys, age 5 and 2
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself? I had one miscarriage prior to both my boys. We knew we wanted to have a third baby, but wanted to get pregnant in August to have a May baby sandwiched between our April and June kids. We have been very fortunate in having an easy time getting pregnant, so we were trying to plan it just that way. Well due to COVID, i couldnt pick up a new birth control prescription and thought we were just being careful, and...well...I guess we are going to have a March baby instead. I was really excited to have a baby in May because its the start of summer, a really pretty time of year and birthday party options are endless, and though I am so thankful that we are able to have babies and it is kind of exciting not planning and being surprised with this news, I'm kind of bummed about a March birthday.
Any one else have other March babies or anyone who planned March specifically for a reason? Tell me all the reasons I should be more excited about a March birth. My current thoughts are cold, dark, windy, and still flu season.
First time mom? If not, number/ages of other children?: I have a 3 year old who is about to turn 4.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself?: I'm a former Librarian but currently a SAHM - Supremely geeky. Very into books (all sorts), Disney, and Studio Ghibli. Our household is also a Star Trek/ Star Wars neutral zone. My husband is the SW nerd and I'm firmly on the side of ST. We make it work. Happy to be joining the March club!
Due Date: March 15 First time mom? Baby #3 on the way. I have a 5 year old and 2 year old Anything else you want to tell us about yourself? I'm a SAHM, love playing outdoors and taking walks with the kids. So excited and nervous for March?
Due Date: March 8 First time mom (30 y/o)! We have fought infertility for 8 years. Never once got pregnant and the doctor said we'd likely need ICSI to conceive. After 2 failed IUI, we were waiting for my period to start IVF when we had a first-ever spontaneous conception. Still can't believe it. Fearful every bathroom trip that I will find a miscarriage. Currently week 5, and a day away from week 6...but we are not going to celebrate or get our hopes up until the 8w US and seeing a heartbeat. I felt a bit more optimistic/confident than my husband until I had large clumps of brown/grey discharge this morning. No other symptoms besides my fatigue and sore boobs, so hoping that is just a new "normal". Anyways, hoping to remain of part of this group! Best of wishes to you all!
First time mom? If not, number/ages of other children? I have 3 children. Boy 9, Girl 6 and Boy 13 Months
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself? DH and I have been married for 11 years. I am a licensed LMBT but don't practice anymore. I am blessed to be a SAH Homeschool Mom. Very excited to join this March 2021 board with all of you (I've been waiting on the app and didn't know that March 2021 was posted online)!
Due date: Guessing March 15, but we'll have to wait for the dating ultrasound to see for sure.
First time mom? If not, number/ages of other children? I have a 19 month old boy Anything else you want to tell us about yourself? I am considered high risk because I have lupus, which also makes general pregnancy symptoms much more pronounced for me. I'm nervous about that because I started a new job a month ago and am starting to struggle - yikes! First baby's stubbornness was immediately evident when he turned to be breech sometime between 30 and 34 weeks and stayed that way despite all interventions, scientifically-based and otherwise. Planned to try for a vaginal breech birth but ended up having to schedule a c-section at 40 weeks because of other concerns. Hoping for VBAC this time!
First time mom? If not, number/ages of other children? No, I have a 14 month old daughter.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself? I’m still a little shocked- it took over two years, a surgery, and two rounds of IUI to successfully have DD, so I’m surprised things happened so quickly once we started trying again. Not out of the woods, but wow.
Any one else have other March babies or anyone who planned March specifically for a reason? Tell me all the reasons I should be more excited about a March birth. My current thoughts are cold, dark, windy, and still flu season.
We planned for winter for three reasons (although ideally it would've been a couple months earlier): -I had to wait a minimum amount of time after my c-section to have the best chances of a successful VBAC this time around (my hope) -My husband manages a hardware store, so spring and summer are his busiest times. Having a baby later in spring or in summer would NOT work well for us! -We didn't want to wait longer (e.g. late summer or fall) because we wanted to keep the age gap between kids as small as possible with the VBAC restrictions.
Hi, I'm Liz. I'm 35 years old. I'm a little surprised to be here. I had just given up hope of a 2nd baby when I turned 35, a couple months ago.
Due Date: 03/13/2021 (the day before my birthday) First time mom? If not, number/ages of other children? 2nd time mom. My son is 8. Anything else you want to tell us about yourself? Not really. I'm boring.
@mrs_massie I'm a March baby! It's always been great...not too close to the holidays and not over summer when I was in school (I felt summer birthdays got the short end of the stick for celebrating in class...maybe I'm weird). They say babies born in the first 3 months of the year tend to do better in school and stay ahead of their peers, in part because they are more mature/developed in the younger grades. Of course, much of that is lore. Someone pointed out in another website that early year babies means never being hugely pregnant and uncomfortable in the hot summer months!
Any one else have other March babies or anyone who planned March specifically for a reason? Tell me all the reasons I should be more excited about a March birth. My current thoughts are cold, dark, windy, and still flu season.
In the other direction, I had my first in May and while it’s a gorgeous time of year there were a couple downsides. The first month or two I barely wanted to go out for more than a tiny walk, but then by the time she was old enough that I wanted to do longer trips, summer was in full swing and we wanted to avoid big chunks of the day because she couldn’t handle the heat well yet. I think with a March baby, they’ll have a little more time to grow before the heat hits, making summer outings a bit more viable. Any time of year will have upsides and downsides!
First time mom? If not, number/ages of other children? I have a 2yo daughter
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself? I'm honestly in shock to be posting here right now! I just got my BFP this morning and immediately told my husband. This was my first cycle off birth control and I never expected it to happen so fast! It took me 4 months to get pregnant with my daughter and that involved tracking ovulation closely and super timed sex, ect.
I participated on the April 2018 BMB when I was pregnant with my DD and it was a great experience. Towards the end of the 9 months the regulars that were still active on the board moved over to Facebook and we have continued to all stay in touch. It was such a great experience to go through my pregnancy with those women and really get to know them over the past 3 years. We have all been through so much together over the years and I hope to build the same experience here with all of you!
Little about me, I'm 33yo and my husband will be 41 in August. We live right outside Houston, Texas and I work full time as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing outpatient (adult) psychotherapy. I am originally from Michigan but have lived in Texas for about 3.5 years. I had a C-section with my daughter because she was breech but I am hoping to try a VBAC with this pregnancy if all goes well.
Due Date: 3/22 I think? I'm honestly in shock to be here! First time mom? If not, number/ages of other children? Second time mom- DS will be 4 in December Anything else you want to tell us about yourself? I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (I've noticed other therapists here as well!) trying to open up my own private practice while working full time. This pregnancy came as somewhat of a surprise so trying to figure out the steps of going off on my own ahhhh. Last pregnancy it took over a year to conceive, so I am a bit surprised and hesitant to be there "on my own"

@jenotontx It definitely is exciting, but also SO scary. I have been lucky enough to be credentialed by some insurance companies, so I am getting referrals, but the change to potentially leave a salaried job is kinda unsettling.

Hello everyone! Due date: no ultrasound confirmation, but by lmp 3/19/21
Technically not a first time see below if you wish...not too many details, but I know loss talk can be triggering.
TW . . . .
I’ve had a lot of early losses, so I’m really hesitant to even post. I’ve been a member since 2015, but could never bring myself to post because I was always afraid I would have to say goodbye too soon. I’m going to try and be brave this time I think. End TW
I hope I have the opportunity to stick around this time! I’m an 8th grade ELA/Reading teacher and feeling a little nervous about starting back to school.
@amw2013 welcome, and sorry for your previous losses. Hopefully you are here for the long haul! I think maybe it's time to get the PGAL (pregnant after loss) thread up, so we can all commiserate and support each other

Due date: March 25 Second time mom! My son will be 3 in September.
I’m 38 and had a lot of complications with my first pregnancy (cholestasis, pre-eclampsia/HELLP syndrome - baby had to be delivered early at 36 weeks but he was healthy 🙏). I was really reluctant to go for #2 after all of that but after encouraging discussions with my doctor we decided to go for it! It will be an anxious 9 months but I’m so excited! Any other high risk mamas here?
@jenn622-2 I'm also considered high risk. I'll be 35 when I deliver (my lovely Dr. threw the label "Advanced Maternal Age") in my face at my appt. today...Which apparently automatically bought me a ticket to the Maternal Fetal Medicine Dr. I also have a history of hypertension and pre-eclampsia. Also, this will be my fourth c-section. All 3 of my kids have been born at 38 weeks.
Due Date: estimated 3/15, fairly positive bc I was tracking ovulation (5w1day)
First Time Mom: No, I have a 4yo DS
About me: Just turned 35, so shout outs to my advanced maternal age ladies! I work at an advertising agency as the head of Project Management. If you need some spreadsheets, I’m your girl. Been married 7 years to my DH who is a lovely human and furniture designer.
*TW*
I’ve had 2 miscarriages (both after seeing a heartbeat) over the past two years. I’m a plus size mom, and my Dr put me through the ringer on testing to make sure I didn’t have health issues that led to them, but I’m super healthy and it was chalked up to just “bad luck.” It took a lot for me to feel ready again after so much heartbreak. Hoping and praying for a different outcome.
Hi everyone. In shock but excited to be here (I think...still getting my head around it).
Due Date: 3/9 First time mom?: Yep Anything else you want to tell us about yourself?: This is my third pregnancy. I had back-to-back ectopics several years ago and was told that IVF was my best bet. My husband and I didn't have the emotional or financial wherewithal to go that route, so we've just taken a not-trying-not-preventing approach, and after a few years of no pregnancies I'd made my peace with not having kids. So this was a huge shock. Due to my high risk, I had an ultrasound yesterday which confirmed the baby was in the right spot and measuring on track. I'm already feeling queasy most of the day, and hoping that passes soon. I've been lucky to be able to work from home the last two weeks due to possible but unlikely COVID exposure, but presumably I'll have to go back to work at some point :P For those of you who've dealt with this before, how long did you wait before you told your workplace?
Have I mentioned I'm in shock? I'm in shock. But I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!
@cmortmain My previous pregnancy I told my boss around 15-16 weeks, and my coworkers around 20 or 22. I think it all depends on your work culture- my boss kept planning to put me on important projects around my due date so I felt like I needed to tell her earlier than everyone else lol

Anything else you want to tell us about yourself?
-I had to wait a minimum amount of time after my c-section to have the best chances of a successful VBAC this time around (my hope)
-My husband manages a hardware store, so spring and summer are his busiest times. Having a baby later in spring or in summer would NOT work well for us!
-We didn't want to wait longer (e.g. late summer or fall) because we wanted to keep the age gap between kids as small as possible with the VBAC restrictions.
Due Date: 03/13/2021 (the day before my birthday)
First time mom? If not, number/ages of other children? 2nd time mom. My son is 8.
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself? Not really. I'm boring.
Due date: 3/27
I have 1 daughter, 17 mo. and a 20 y/o stepson.
I'm a social worker and currently work in the behavioral health field with kids. I love crafting and gardening.

Twins! #4 and #5 Due: 03/14/2021
I'm a March baby!

First time mom? If not, number/ages of other children? Second time mom- DS will be 4 in December
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself? I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (I've noticed other therapists here as well!) trying to open up my own private practice while working full time. This pregnancy came as somewhat of a surprise so trying to figure out the steps of going off on my own ahhhh. Last pregnancy it took over a year to conceive, so I am a bit surprised and hesitant to be there "on my own"

Second time mom!
First Time Mom: No, I have a 4yo DS
About me: Just turned 35, so shout outs to my advanced maternal age ladies! I work at an advertising agency as the head of Project Management. If you need some spreadsheets, I’m your girl. Been married 7 years to my DH who is a lovely human and furniture designer.

Due Date: 3/9
First time mom?: Yep
Anything else you want to tell us about yourself?: This is my third pregnancy.
