  • @BusinessWife Oh wow, I'm sorry they stuck you with that on your last day!  I was hoping to hear that they let you leave early because there was no work for you since it's your last day!  But that is true that it only made you realize all the more that you don't need to deal with that.  I'm sorry for the stressful last day, but now you never need to look back!  What an amazing feeling that must be!  Enjoy it!  I hope things go smoothly now with your MIL's paperwork and that doesn't turn into too much of a hassle.

  • @wildrainbow Thank GOODNESS everything is okay! I'm glad you went in to get checked just in case, and that's awesome you got a great ultrasound shot, too!
  • @WishesSheCouldCook I'm sorry you're not feeling well! I hope it's not the flu and you can rest up and feel better soon!
  • @WishesSheCouldCook I really hope you don't have the flu and recover quickly!  Take it easy mama.

    @emiliadkay It's the least I could do for turning me onto breakfast tacos   :D   And go you working out two mornings in a row!!  Can you pass along some of your energy?!  I was pleased with myself for making green smoothies for two days   :D

  • @emiliadkay omg, Yes!  like, all of them! LOL one girl won't be coming today because she's not feeling great due to pregnancy symptoms, another one just had her anatomy scan and it's expecting her second boy, there are some other preggos in our group that don't necessarily come to the Tuesday meet up.  Like I can think of four more off hand LOL. @Redbaramid do you like chickpeas? Roasted specifically add a nice crunch. (You can buy them roasted but if you want to go the cheap route buy a can and throw them in the oven @ 400 with oil/seasoning of choice for 20-30 mins).

    ETA: Hemp hearts! High protein, rich in omega 3 & 6, good source of iron, zinc, magnesium, and potassium. If you haven't had them they are like a seed. Don't have much for flavor kind of nutty I guess. But super easy to add to salads, smoothies, pb toast, really anything!

    @RedBaramid If you like seeds you can add in sunflower, chia, pumpkin.  Are you a fruit in salad person?  Strawberries, blueberries, cranberries, mandarins?  Protein could be a bean like garbanzo or a scoop of hummus if you don't have/eat chicken, etc.  Throw in some cheese.

    ETA quinoa is also great.

    @RedBaramid nuts, beans, and cheese!

    ETA: nevermind on cheese, I missed the lowfat part. But I guess that goes for nuts too. Small amounts might be good though!
  • @RedBaramid I can't remember if you're vegetarian, but frozen chicken strips are the laziest, easiest lowfat protein add if not. I love hard boiled egg on salads, and also pumpkin seeds, quinoa, all kinds of beans as others have already suggested.
  • @WishesSheCouldCook I am so sorry, that sucks.
  • Oh dear @WishesSheCouldCook
