@blaf322 yes I've tried chocolate and caramel, not a fan - unless I mix with coffee to make it less sweet.
Has anyone tried the Blanqi support tanks or that support band thing they make? Not even 14 weeks here and already feeling so achy in my back and hips and pelvis everytime I stand, but I don't know if $70 for one tank top is even close to justified.
@zande2016 I haven't, but several friends LOVE their leggings. If the quality is any indication with those, and you can afford it, I say go for it! You have a long way to go so get it now while you'll get tons of use!
@pocketrose omg that is the best typo! DD can sign milk and and shouts “yea yea milks milks” while signing to get her point across, as if I didn’t know what she wants. She’s definitely a milk beast
Opinions needed.... As you know, we got the baby's furniture but it was all delivered to the first floor. DH carried everything upstairs except the dresser and chest of drawers. WITH drawers, the dresser is 127lbs and the chest of drawers is 141. DH removed and carried all the drawers upstairs so it's just the shell for each. I lifted one half of the dresser and it feels pretty light to me.... I'd guess maybe 50-80 lbs? Which would mean, at max, I'd be lifting 25-40 lbs.
Do you feel like me helping him pull them upstairs is too big of a risk? Assume I don't feel super strained while doing it... if so, I'd definitely stop. And I'd, obviously be at the top, so he'd bear the majority of the weight as we go up the stairs..... And, for reference, DD is 30lbs. I lift her daily.
@blaf322 I think it would be absolutely fine. You will know when it feels like too much, and I'm sure your DH will try to do most of the work 😉 I helped DH move a hutch into our dining room a few weeks ago, I didn't realize how heavy it was going to be- but we managed. I was just grumpy about it haha.
I met my midwife today, and I loved her so much. She has a visible wrist tattoo, a nose ring, and small gauges in her ears. She was the absolute opposite of what I expected. I expected someone "motherly" and got a high energy, super personable lady instead.
@blaf322 I personally wouldn't stress about doing that. I think it'd be fine unless like you said you start feeling strained doing it.
So a couple hours ago, I got a call from DD's daycare that she had a 104 fever. 104?! Holy shit, on my way. I immediately made a dr appt and drove like a maniac there. I had barely gotten through the door home with her when I get a call from MH. "Did you look at her daily report yet? It says 100.4 not 104." Ughhh. I'm assuming the teacher who actually took the temp added the note and asked the other teacher to call me. I'm guessing second teacher misheard the first one (because she did definitely tell me 104), but omg those are two very different things! Really glad it wasn't 104, but I'm keeping her appt anyway because she's been feeling lousy for several days and has a nasty cough. We'll see I guess... hoping it's not the flu or RSV.
okay.. .thanks y'all. I have a tendency to be like, "psh, it's fine" even if maybe it's not... so I wanted to make sure I wasn't being super irresponsible.
@modoodles yay! So glad you liked her! Such a relief after not loving the place you were originally at!
@stlbuckeye132 poor bug... Glad it wasn't actually 104 and hopefully she's feeling better soon. Not much they could do for flu or RSV at this point... but its definitely nice to know. DD had, what the Dr suspected was, RSV this year. Poor girl sounded so bad and ended up with an upper respiratory infection, then ear infection b/c of it, and then a sinus infection... but no worse for the wear otherwise. (I sound like all of that is NBD but, you know... toddlers... one thing always ends up progressing into something else so that's what happened)
@blaf322 yeah she had RSV around 6 months old, and I swear that cough lingered for over 2 months. And I also had the worst cold of my life after she had it, so I’m mostly hoping it’s not that so I don’t get that sick again 🤪
@stlbuckeye132 omg scary! Also glad it wasn't actually 104. And hope it's nothing serious. Similar to @blaf322 my DD had RSV that progressed to an ear infection, but the only reason we found that out was because we went to the hospital (overreaction on my part) for things that were mainly ear infection symptoms. The doc did a test for RSV and flu and said it was positive for RSV but that it isn't always serious (mine just had that lingering cough you're talking about and the drainage issue which led to the ear infection). But omg RSV at 6 months I would be a basket case. Hope she feels better!
Ugh, I seem to have picked up a gastro bug. Last night my stomach felt so sick and was sore. I thought it was possibly MS. Then this morning as soon as I woke up I started vomiting and having explosive diarrhea. Took an Ondansetron which helped eventually with the vomiting. I work at a daycare and were already so short staffed, so I had to come in to work. As soon as I got there I stared bawling so I decided I needed to come home even if it meant leaving them sort of screwed for the day. I then laid in bed until 3, and had to get up because I thought I was going to start vomiting and uncontrollably pooping myself again. Took another pill and things are settling now. I have no desire to eat any food. I just hope my baby Yoda is doing OK in there
I was trying to lurk the January BMB for birth stories and they've taken their whole group to a private board. Don't they know there are other people here who just want to know the details of their personal lives? LOL

@treeofcheem I’m right there with you lol. Feb bmb is getting less active now too. From what I remember, June BMB actually has a decent birth story thread
Today was the first day I haven’t had anything to do outside the house, so I was planning on cleaning everything(it’s been awhile). Nothing has happened. My body decided to have a bad day where laying on the couch is all I feel like doing. Maybe tomorrow. 🤷🏻♀️
Today H and I went to Ikea, the Container Store, and Trader Joes (and Chipotle because I wasn't going to make it without some lunch) which I think means I can sleep for the rest of the day?
@nursejenn5 I spent all day cleaning and feeing so energized and motivated. It’s 2:45pm and it now feels like 11:30 at night to me. Definitely overdid it. Kind of wishing I had stuck to the couch!
Yay!!! I haven’t been able to get on the app or through the site all week. I’m not sure what was going on with my phone or internet I don’t know. I will have to catch up but I missed our group!
@JessDG and @blaf322 I know I’m late but I am the same with Zantac and so sad I couldn’t take it this time. I tried some others with no luck but finally am feeling better with Nexium. Nothing else was touching it. Heartburn is the worst!
@stlbuckeye132 I was just saying how I think pregnancy dreams must be where they come up with cool sci-fi movies because mine have been so weird lol
My side was cramping this morning and DH said to me, "I've watched 5 seasons of Grey's Anatomy, I can definitely take out your appendix." I've created a monster. 😂😂
@modoodles I don’t know why the 5 seasons part tickles me so much. There’s like 11 seasons of that show but he doesn’t need more education than 5 of them 😂
@kristinl492 😂 we started watching over again from season one a few months ago because although I have always watched it, he had never seen a single episode!
