@meri-mac Glad to hear things are going well and the injections aren’t too bad! FX for lots of eggs! I loved Sailor Freddie Mercury!!
@b_1029 Sorry you are on the struggle bus right now, friend. Sounds like you have a lot of triggers, so no wonder the holiday blues are starting early. I hope you are able to find some ways to cope during your TWW. I’m keeping everything crossed for you! I have tons to keep me occupied the next few weeks.. I’ll be really busy with work and will probably start christmas shopping. So I think the next 3 weeks will fly by!
@inthewoods23 So glad you had such a fun trip! I’m hoping so hard for you that you got KU on your trip!
@pom9207 Welcome but sorry you find yourself here. Sounds like you’ve been through a lot. I hope you are able to go through with this IUI! Sorry about the party.. such a tough situation to be in.
@jennifer_louise I agree with @kpearse99 about trying to get out more for girls nights.. cutting yourself off from your friends is only going to make you feel more alone. I totally get it though. There are definitely times when you need your alone time too.. especially when you might be exposed to uncomfortable or triggering situations.
@NYTino24@kpearse99@nitnat007@b_1029@ramzlau Thanks so much for the input. I think you’re right.. it’s really hard going through this alone. I’m at a point where I could really use the support of close family and friends so I should start letting people in.
@ramzlau GL at your RE consultation on Wednesday and I hope you are able to stay optimistic!
Me: 35 DH: 35 TTC since 9/2018
Dx: MFI 10/19- First RE visit 2/20- DH had surgery for bilateral varicoceles 7/20- IUI with 5 mg letrozole- BFN 9/20- IVF. 9 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, 8 fertilized with ICSI, 7 blasts, 4 PGT-A normal 11/20- Mock transfer/ERA 12/20- FET #1- transferred one 4AB- BFN 3/21- FET #2- transferred one 3AB- BFP! Due Dec 2021 12/21- Baby girl born!
Thanks for all the love, ladies, and welcome @pom9207! It is getting real. I am a little nervous for tomorrow's ultrasound though as AF is here. I expect it will be quite gross in addition to the digging that had to be done last time that made me sick to my stomach. All part of the process though. From reading the postpartum thread, it gets much nastier
On a happier note, for all the Pot(ter)Heads out there, my brother and his wife have trained their dog, Newt, to come with the command 'Accio'. They sent me a video and it has viral potential.
US update: three 13 mm follicles (one left and two right) plus a 13 mm cyst left from last cycle and fluid again. Why?! I’m so nervous that the disastrous trigger situation will happen again. Waiting on BW results, but I bet I’ll have to go back on Thursday. I’m a bit annoyed that DH’s SA for today wasn’t cancelled after I left a VM at 2:17 yesterday. Turns out they transferred me to the wrong office, but they are all connected and someone should have taken care of it. It’s not like we will be charged or anything, but still. ET clarify
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@NYTino24 Sending some peace of mind your way and fx for good results! Thank goodness you aren't being charged for their mistake. I don't understand why they couldn't just pass the message on in the same office. Little things like that are so easy to fix. Keep us updated!
@inthewoods23 Yay for an awesome and much needed trip! Plus, great timing for hio. FX for you.
@pom9207 We have low morph as well. 3% is still right on the cusp of low, so not that bad. Where is your home country? And welcome to the board!
@jennifer_louise I teach bodypump (full body weight class), three times a week. But I picked up two extra classes last week and it caught up with me. I didn't really have any side effects from the prometrium either. Panty liners are your friend right now! Will they check your progesterone levels at all or straight to hcg when it comes? Sending you hugs
@ramzlau Good luck tomorrow. Take notes, ask all the questions.
@meri-mac I always thought the US during AF would be a mess but it never was for me. It just get extra messy from the wand lube. Maybe Tylenol could help your nausea? My thought is if it doesn't feel painful then it might not make you feel nauseous. No idea if it will work but worth a shot? 🤷♀️
@NYTino24 FX for good results from your BW! Is there anything that can be done to remove the fluid in your lining? That's something I've never heard of before.

@NYTino24 my RE's office works the same way - all connected. Them not taking care of passing on the message is sheer laziness on their part. Did they say why there would be fluid in the lining? Like what could be causing it again? And what does it really mean? Is it a bad thing?

@mvt2003 - Your office sounds so fun! Post pictures if you can!
@misshelen86 - I've told a few people. I like to talk about things, so I needed a few people that I could text about what I'm going thru. One of my friends that I've confided in went thru IF treatments as well, and shes a good support to have. My bosses know, and I've told my dad, my sisters, and now my MIL - but I don't keep any of them up to date on the process - they just know we're doing it.
@meri-mac - Yay! Is your appointment on Wednesday just blood work?
@inthewoods23 - So glad to hear your trip went well! And that it coordinated well timing wise with your cycle! Fingers crossed!
@jennifer_louise - The nurse yesterday said that if she had to guess the ER will be Friday or Saturday! So we'll see what they say this afternoon! Sorry you've been feeling so down. I'm there with you and it's a hard place to get out of.
@nitnat007 Appointment is tomorrow, but you are sick so your confusion is excused
@inthewoods23 Thank you for the advice. I will take any and all!
@feather_heather It is BW and US. They need to keep checking the follicles. At the initial scan, I had 3 on the left and 4 on the right, but AF hadn't come yet and hadn't started any drugs. Here's hoping for some progress!
I believe someone asked this last month but I can't find it or remember.... is it normal-ish to slightly spot (more like very light tinted CM) from an IUI or from ovulation? I've did not have this with the last IUI and I've never had it with ovulation, that I know of anyway, but yesterday was pretty intense O pains, especially after the IUI (it even hurt on the outside of my skin, like if I gently pressed or rubbed over my lower abdomen on the left side). I also did release 2 large eggs, so I'm wondering if that is a factor in this too.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): waiting for RE appointment which is still almost a month away
How are things going?: honestly I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus. Being on CD 14 with no sign of O and being told that there isn’t really hope for us with out the RE which we won’t see till the 26th has got me down. We pretty much only have till January or we will have to be benched until next September when my Due date would be after graduation. I’ve been calling to see if someone cancels if I can get in earlier.
Any questions?:none
GTKY: What is the funniest Halloween costume you've ever seen? A Halloween party we went to this weekend had a guy dressed as a Juul Ok so I’m probably only going to make it through this first page right now because I’m so far behind.
@NYTino24 sorry the Letrozole has been rough on you. I was wondering how letrozole is since I’m already a pretty emotional person (I ugly cried in dumbo) @keikilove: **TW I’m so sorry you are in this difficult place right now and I so hope that you find some peace and a Thb soon. I personally had to take some time off from the dailies, we have had 3 people get pregnant cycle one of trying this month and here I am with very little hope for it happening anytime soon and I couldn't take it. It’s not that I’m not happy for them it’s just hard to be here and see everyone moving on. End TW*** @kpearse99 I’m glad you enjoyed charelston. I hope. Was exactly the break you needed to make some happy, sticky little eggs lol. Also I personally think multiples would be great ( yes I know it’s higher risk) because I feel like with all the money that’s gonna be spent on making one baby getting a second free sounds like a great deal. @emeraldduchess I personally would clue my boss in. It’s honestly just easier to not sneak around.
@misshelen86 I personally told my family, everyone has known I’ve wanted kids for forever so the moment the ink dried in our wedding certificate they all started asking/ being on bump watch. I couldn’t stand being asked one more time when we were going to make them grandparents/ give them a niece or nephew etc. while I’m not sure they fully understand what things they should probably just keep to themselves they are trying and I think it’s been a great source of support. Also I know I personally complained about it early on because I knew something was wrong and my doctors wouldn’t listen. I knew we were just wasting time and getting frustrated.
@meri-Mac I’ve never done hormone injections but did they not tell you to get the bubbles out first? I do flu shots and stuff all the time at the pharmacy and we always have to flick those air bubbles in the shots out first.
@b_1029 I’m so sorry this is such a rough time of year. I have my fingers crossed this iui was yours and you will be KU by christmas!
@inthewoods23 yay for the tww! Also no matter how many times I write your name I will always write into the woods first because I’m a big Taylor Swift fan lol.
@beckylookatherbump there is no shame in taking a break when you feel it's needed. But I'm glad you're back

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): letrozole, gonal-f, trigger and IUI
How are things going?: So far, so good. I go in Wednesday for my first scan to check my follies. Gonal-f hasn't been too bad yet. I'm cautiously optimistic.
Any questions?: My friend told me to ask my doctor's office to aspirate the rest of the gonal-f out of the pen, because there's always some left when when you do the last dose. Then you can use it for the next round, if needed. Has anyone else done that?
GTKY: What is the funniest Halloween costume you’ve ever seen? Hmmm... The first thing that comes to mind: One time I went to a Halloween party where a guy dressed up as an "identity thief". He had looked at the invite list and put name tags with each person's name all over himself. I didn't know him, so it was funny to see my name as part of his costume.
@shoogapoff that costume idea is great!! So clever! I don't have experience with your question but it sounds like it could be something worth asking for sure! I'm glad you're not feeling any crazy side effects! Can't wait for the results of your appointment tomorrow!

@kpearse99 if I remember right I think bleeding during O is possible. I don't experience that or O pains so I'm not a great source on this kind of info! Could be from cervical irritation too during sex 🤷♀️

@kpearse99 was your mucus red/pink or brown? I had some red/pink immediately after and some brown for the rest of the day after my IUI. They told me that was normal! But when in doubt, email a nurse?
@feather_heather eek that's so soon! Are you feeling okay? (those 18 follies weighing you down? 😬)
@shoogapoff I love the identity thief idea! If I ever forget a costume at a costume party, I'm stealing it! 😂
@beckylookatherbump I do flick to get rid of the large bubbles, but there a couple teeny tiny ones on the stopper that will not move. It really annoys me. The large bubbles take so much to do. I hurt my finger flicking the syringe the first time.
@shoogapoff My clinic told me they could do the same with Gonal-F pens, but that there is an extra charge. They take they overfill and combine it with another pen.
@jennifer_louise it was very light tinted brown. There was some cramping with the IUI yesterday, none with the first one, so I'm sure it's just all from that. I might email them to be sure though! Thanks

**lurking** @kpearse99 I had minimal spotting like you the day after IUI, mostly just cramps the day of. I also think our post-IUI sex caused some irritation as well. but as others said - when in doubt, ask!
@nitnat007 thank you! The RE from my home country (China) wasn’t too concerned about that 3% morph, too. He suggested us do a couple of rounds of timed intercourse or IUI before moving to IVF.
I bought DH GNC megamen, which seems to include everything -- zinc, folic acid, vitamin E etc... What type of supplements does YH take, if any?
@jennifer_louise - Just got the call that my ER is Thursday!! Ahh triggering tonight! Definitely feeling weighed down and my lower stomach is quite swollen!
@meri-mac I did a pelvic ultrasound on CD2. The doctor pressed on my lower abdomen to check my left ovary, which was a little painful but nothing compared to period cramping. It didn't get messy at all, to my surprise...
I know I'm missing people still. Just trying to catch up!
@beckylookatherbump I'm so sorry that you're dealing with waiting on the RE. The timing aspect of going through this is such a challenging part of it, and one that a lot of people don't really consider.
@meri-mac I've had multiple ultrasounds during AF, and it wasn't bad at all. They were very nonchalant about it.
@pom9207 Welcome! Though, as others have said, I am sorry you find yourself here.
@nitnat007 Sorry you're sick, but glad it's not when you're gearing up for ER etc.
@keikilove Glad you're getting into the RI! FX for your IUI to yield the best results! As for the dailies, I have stopped participating. It's just too much for me, and causes more anxiety for me. I still lurk TWW to see who might be close to a BFP.
@emeraldduchess I'm glad you haven't had symptoms with letrozole yet! I'm not having trouble with it either, which has been nice.
@mvt2003 I second what others have said about wanting to see pictures of your contest submission! How fun!
@misshelen86 I have started sharing with more people, and haven't regretted it. I'm not being super-public, but I'm honest when people ask. I also attended a faith-based infertility conference, and some pictures were posted online, so that "outed" me a little bit, which I was okay with. As others have said, I have been surprised who is or has been going through similar things.
Eek, this thread is totally getting away from me! Update on sharing at work: I talked to my boss and he was very supportive. Being at the school that I am at, there's not a whole lot I can share. So, I said I was being tested for RPL, currently on medication that is being monitored. I think he might assume that I am doing more intensive treatment than I actually am at this point, though. But, he said he wishes me well and to just text him if I'm going to be out/late/etc.
@pom9207 welcome! I'm sorry you find yourself here, but I can say this is the most supportive group of ladies you could hope to find.
@beckylookatherbump I stopped posting in the dailies for the same reason, plus it's too hard to keep up now that school is back in session. Definitely hard to stay positive when you feel like you're surrounded by unicorns!
@feather_heather that's great that your egg retrieval is scheduled! Crossing everything for you!!
@meri-mac OMG I wish I could train my dog to follow Harry Potter commands! 🤣
@keikilove I hope your IUI goes better than well and you get the best possible outcome!!
@shoogapoff glad that you're not feeling many side effects. FX it stays that way!
I know I am missing a ton of people so I'll be back for more tags. Now I have to go correct more quizzes. Boo.
@kpearse99 crossing everything that this IUI is it for you, friend! 💜
@nitnat007 so excited that you're starting the process on Friday! FX everything goes perfectly.
@NYTino24 I am so sorry you're dealing with emotional side effects. I hope it gets better. So hopeful for you this cycle! 💙
@mvt2003 that decorating contest sounds like so much fun! Pics please! I would definitely mention the early LP spotting. The more information they have, the better!
@misshelen86 that's great that you are taking such good care of yourself physically and mentally. That is so important. I don't know if they're including an ultrasound with my monitoring, but I will ask tomorrow. I have shared about my losses and IF testing with some family and friends, but we decided to keep our treatment choices private to avoid unsolicited opinions and advice.
@jennifer_louise so many hugs to you, friend. 💜 FX that this IUI is it for you! Remember we're here to support you through it all, no matter what happens.
@inthewoods23 I'm so glad you had a great vacation! Sounds like it was exactly what you and your DH needed. 💚
@b_1029 so many hugs to you. I am doing my best to keep the holiday blues at bay, some days it's easier than others. FX this IUI is it for you! 💜
All right, all right, all right. Update: Had BW and US. Bloodwork results will be in later this morning, but my US was encouraging! 11 follicles on the right and 12 on the left which were larger. The nurse said that since the left was doing well they probably would not need to increase my dosage (Hallelujah). I don't need to stick around since they will call, but I took half a vacation day just in case so I might as well enjoy it. I would have to come back to get my next set of drugs anyway. Better to stay than fight traffic after work.
Question: AF was only a few days long. I was expecting something different than usual given I was on BCP and then started the injections, but has anyone else experienced this? I am going to ask the nurse when she calls. The US was good so I'm not that worried, just thought I would put it out there.
@emeraldduchess I scolded myself for not thinking to do it with our pup! I am on probation with the Potterdom I'm so glad your boss was supportive. It can lift such a weight off.
@shoogapoff This US was so much better. It was a different nurse and she didn't have to put so much pressure to see my ovaries. Now that may be because there is more cooking in there now because of the hormones, but it was a pleasant surprise during an unpleasant procedure. Let us know how your check-up went!!
@meri-mac - Yayy!! Sounds like your responding great! My periods are super short (2-3 days), and this cycle it was literally a day and a half long. I didn't think to ask if it was because of the injections.

Okay, preliminarily, it sounds like things look...good? He (not my main dr, but another dr in the practice) saw 3 large follies (didn't say how large). My lining was still a little thin (6.5) but not as bad as last time. They'll call me this afternoon with next steps.
@shoogapoff that's great!! You can ask them when they call you what size the follies were at. They should be able to tell you!

*lurking* @kpearse99 I spotted for a day or two after my last 2 IUIs, the heaviest being the day of. MH is super queasy at the sight of blood so when he saw my RE pull the catheter out and everything was bloody he just about puked on me (he was leaning over me holding my hands). *eyeroll* @shoogapoff sounds like good news to me!! FX!! @meri-mac all right all right all right! Go follies go!!

Thanks @feather_heather@kpearse99@shoogapoff@beckylookatherbump@inthewoods23@emeraldduchess & @kiki047. I wasn't expecting bad news (who does?), but it is nice to know stabbing myself repeatedly in the gut has reaped some rewards. I was able to start Centrocide this morning. The pharmacist showed me how to prepare it and let me use his office so I didn't have to do it when I got to work!
Re: IF Testing and Treatment Week of 10/28-11/3/19
@b_1029 Sorry you are on the struggle bus right now, friend.
@NYTino24 @kpearse99 @nitnat007 @b_1029 @ramzlau Thanks so much for the input. I think you’re right.. it’s really hard going through this alone. I’m at a point where I could really use the support of close family and friends so I should start letting people in.
@ramzlau GL at your RE consultation on Wednesday and I hope you are able to stay optimistic!

@meri-mac How did it go this morning?
@NYTino24 Sending you all the positive vibes so you do not have a repeat. Everything crossed!
@NYTino24 FX for good results from your BW! Is there anything that can be done to remove the fluid in your lining? That's something I've never heard of before.

A Halloween party we went to this weekend had a guy dressed as a Juul
Ok so I’m probably only going to make it through this first page right now because I’m so far behind.
@NYTino24 sorry the Letrozole has been rough on you. I was wondering how letrozole is since I’m already a pretty emotional person (I ugly cried in dumbo)
@keikilove: **TW I’m so sorry you are in this difficult place right now and I so hope that you find some peace and a Thb soon. I personally had to take some time off from the dailies, we have had 3
people get pregnant cycle one of trying this month and here I am with very little hope for it happening anytime soon and I couldn't take it. It’s not that I’m not happy for them it’s just hard to be here and see everyone moving on. End TW***
@kpearse99 I’m glad you enjoyed charelston.

I bought DH GNC megamen, which seems to include everything -- zinc, folic acid, vitamin E etc... What type of supplements does YH take, if any?

@pom9207 I hope that is what it is. They did a vaginal ultrasound the first time around so that is what I am expecting tomorrow.
@feather_heather Yay for having ER scheduled!! FX for you!
Boo.
@nitnat007 so excited that you're starting the process on Friday! FX everything goes perfectly.
@NYTino24 I am so sorry you're dealing with emotional side effects.
I am on probation with the Potterdom
@shoogapoff This US was so much better. It was a different nurse and she didn't have to put so much pressure to see my ovaries. Now that may be because there is more cooking in there now because of the hormones, but it was a pleasant surprise during an unpleasant procedure. Let us know how your check-up went!!
Edited for question.

@kpearse99 I spotted for a day or two after my last 2 IUIs, the heaviest being the day of. MH is super queasy at the sight of blood so when he saw my RE pull the catheter out and everything was bloody he just about puked on me (he was leaning over me holding my hands). *eyeroll*
