@babyroma I'm with malloryfrommn, the acne is mostly on my jawline, but I had it on my back and neck really badly during first trimester. I thought it was gone but has come back with vengeance about a week ago.
Does anyone have any good supportive sports bra recommendations? My current ones I love are Lucy’s but they aren’t in business anymore. I don’t want any underwire or straps if I can avoid it, but all I could find are these thin, too stretchy ones that don’t support my giant boobs!
And for regular bras, did you just buy a bigger size? I don’t want to have to buy a ton of new expensive bras either if avoidable.
@burr1371 thank you!! I’m going to order these today. Any sizing recommendations? I’m assuming he size chart they provide is for current size and I have no idea what that is- I know I started as a 32DD so maybe I’ll just go a size up and see...
I don't know if anyone uses What to Expect, but I do enjoy the fact that they allow you to choose what type of item you want them to show "baby size" in. I'm currently smiling at the fact that this little one is the size of a disposable camera.
Alright so kinda silly, Iv been searching for little but I’d rather just get a straight answer from one you moms if you wouldn’t mind.
So my February baby will be my second. We have one son who is 5, and we just found out we are having a baby girl!
My silly question is, how do you have a sprinkle for baby no. 2 but have it more like a shower? I’m trying to word this right. But I’m looking at invites on Pinterest and alot of them say things like “ we just need diapers and bottles”. It’s been almost 6 years since my sons shower, and we really don’t have anything from when he was a baby. So we need a lot more then diapers. Lol so how would one word that if you’re having a “sprinkle”? Or do just say shower? Anyone else go through this? What did you do?
Im trying to keep it “etiquette” but I’m a little confused. So obviously we wouldn’t want extended family there. Just close friends and family. Ps- not throwing my own sprinkle, just trying to get an idea how this works.
@babyspice5 i’d Register and put your registry on the invitation. Don’t direct people on what to buy. Just put your registry down. I’d rather buy people what they need, even for 2+ babies. At the end you’ll get the completion code discount to finish buying odds and ends.
@babyspice call it a shower - what you need is not a "sprinkle" and if you call it that it will confuse guests into thinking maybe you don't need as much help.

Is anyone else barely feeling movements, if any at all? I realize every pregnancy is different and I could have an anterior placenta, among whatever other reasons, but it’s stressing me out. I was feeling DS a lot by now.

@ibabyloveb87 I feel movements here and there but not a ton. Yesterday I didn't remember feeling any, so this morning I pulled out my doppler to make sure all was good. I feel like I was feeling it more last week than this week. I think with my previous DD I realllly started feeling around 20 weeks.
@ibabyloveb87 honestly, as a FTM, I'm not sure yet. Nothing definitive, and what I have felt has been possibly gas, haha. The one side I’ve thought I’ve maybe felt something on baby has posterior placenta, but the other has an anterior placenta which may be why I haven’t felt that one yet.
@ibabyloveb87 I dont think I've been feeling anything. 16w tomorrow but also very overweight. I keep telling H I cant wait to feel baby moving and everytime he says he thinks that would freak him out haha
@ibabyloveb87 I felt my first "yep, that was definitely baby" movement at 16+1. It was only in the morning when my bladder was full or when I laid down for bed. Now I am at 19+4 and feel baby move almost every day a decent amount. I do agree every pregnancy is different though, and I have been shocked how early I've felt baby so I am sure you have nothing to worry about and will be feeling those weird, squirmy movements soon.
@huskervbfan I’ve felt SOMETHING but it’s not consistent and not nearly as much as I felt with DS. 17w tomorrow so I know it’s still early technically but yeah, just hoping for a good appt tomorrow to ease my anxiety until I can feel more!

@ibabyloveb87 I'm in the same boat as @Swiftlet. FTM so not really sure if I've actually felt anything. I'm only 17w, and my OB said it might happen around 19 to 20 weeks. I'm also trying not to worry, but it's hard not to!
Add me to the lack of definite movement. I am 17 weeks tomorrow and with DD I felt her clearly at 17 weeks and by 20 weeks H felt her. I am hoping to feel this one very soon.
@babyroma, H thought it was weird to feel DD move and he said he would freak out if he was the one pregnant. I thought I would think it was weird to feel movement but I absolutely loved it!
Yesterday I read that people usually feel movement between 18-22 weeks. However, at that point it is very inconsistent and as you all have said there are many reasons you may feel them sooner or later. The article also said that you don’t need to “worry” about movement or start counting movement until the third trimester. But I also cannot wait to feel some consistent movement!
@ibabyloveb87 I’m in the same boat. I know I have felt her move a couple of times, but I was feeling my other babies more consistently at this point (I’m 19 weeks). And I don’t have an anterior placenta (confirmed last week at ultrasound). But she was moving all over the place, so? 🤷🏻♀️ Hoping I start feeling her more consistently or at least a few harder kicks.
I feel movement, but it's super sporadic and not daily. The US tech also confirmed I have an anterior placenta again so I likely won't get consistent or strong kicks until third trimester. I was hoping for posterior, but as long as it's not a praevia I'm calling it good!
Anyone doing any prenatal massage? I emailed my OB for a referral and am hoping she will give me one. I could use some relaxation once a month and my lower back is already bugging me so bad.
@bg122785 YES! We have a place called Belly Bliss that specializes in prenatal massage and I plan to do one every month starting at 20 weeks. Massage and chiropractor 10/10 would recommend. Last time I only did 2 massages and saw an chiro once. This time I'm getting ahead of the low back pain! It gets rough for me at least!
@bg122785, I haven’t had any prenatal massages this time yet but did last time. The place I go for occasional massages does them. They are a very nice spa, I don’t think I would go to just any old place for a prenatal massage.
@bg122785 I’ve been going to the same massage therapist for a year now. She is trained in prenatal massage and has special cushioning for pregnancy, so I just gave her a heads up that I’m pregnant. I had one at 11 weeks (it wasn’t any different, I didn’t need anything extra). And I just had one Tuesday at 17 weeks (I still didn’t need any special cushioning as I was able to comfortably be on my belly). There isn’t really much that a massage therapist will do differently other than use a special table or special bolstering to support your growing belly.
Thanks @craftywitch! I only went to the chiro once my last pregnancy and was realllllly hurting the last few months. Really wanting to get ahead of the game also. So I am really hoping I will get that referral soon!
Thank you for the info @jvk2012 and @daffodil_shoe! The place I am looking at has been highly recommended by women I know who have had prenatal massages, so I am hoping they will be good.
@bg122785 looking into it- there’s a spa at the hotel hosting an upcoming work conference that has a pregnancy massage! We have a nearby place that does them too and they’re a nice place so I’m thinking of trying to do that regularly
How did everyone do with telling their works?! I’ve told one of my bosses but I’m dreading telling the other. He’s a 60 year old man... that’s not a fun conversation LOL
@charbabymama I told my team a while ago but still havent told HR. I'm waiting until after 20 weeks to have that discussion! It makes me nervous to deal with all that. My pregnant engineer had a hard time understanding the leave guidelines because they changed stuff and the forms are all messed up. I would hope they might have that figured out by the time I tell them.
