@scuba_chic That’s the most annoying question for me during pregnancy: “How are you feeling?” At least with my first pregnancy it annoyed me probably more than it should have
I am this annoying person. I know it's annoying, but I just cannot help myself from asking a pregnant woman, "How are you feeling?!"

I'm sure its a mix of me being easily agitated plus her. I think if she didn't ask it every single day or maybe its the way she says it....like she knows the secret no one else knows, it wouldn't bother me so much. Or I'm just finding that one person that irritates me lol. It happened last pregnancy. I was fine with most everyone except one coworker. He irritated the living crap out of me to the point I couldn't hide it. I knew I was being the B and that as soon as I could tell him and was past the first tri hormones, I'd be apologizing to him.
@galentine@scuba_chic When I stop and think about it, I just asked 2 friends who are also pregnant when I saw them last week. I guess I don’t mind it randomly or if I don’t talk to someone regularly, but if it’s every day or all the time I get annoyed
It's finally time to tell our parents and grandparents! We're flying to visit mine today, we will tell them tomorrow through these real looking lottery tickets and will give my aunt (a 2nd mom to me) a wine bottle announcement tomorrow night. We will tell his parents on Friday. So excited but also nervous because now it's even more real.
My parents have 10 grandkids already but this is our first and theyre excited about each child (no matter the number). This will be my husband's parents' 1st grandkid.
This is the picture we plan on using when we announce on social media. It’s surrounded by pictures of me and my husband on some of our adventures together. (I cropped out our pictures to post here.)
@emily1052, I love it!! I actually have something very similar in mind, because my H and I have been pretty adventurous during our DINK time. Is the onsie from Etsy?
For those of you who like The Office...5 cast members from the show are going to be at Comicon near us next month. I’m debating buying a photo opp and thought it’d be an awesome way to do a pregnancy announcement. Any thoughts on a funny quote from the show I could print on signs for them to hold...or any ideas for a photo like that in general?
@melanier26, OMG I'm so jealous! Which 5 characters are going to be there? My wheels are turning but maybe knowing who it is will help narrow down the ideas.
@galentine Stanley, Meredith, Creed, Kevin and Oscar. I think it’s $175 for the photo opp so I’m not totally convinced it’s worth spending money on but it’s so tempting

I had some other ideas if Jenna Fischer or John Krasinski would be there, but figured it would be a long shot. 😉
Since Kevin will be there, you could play off Kevin and you having the same eating habits now that you are pregnant.
But what I would probably do: Write a list (like in the episode "The List") with all your important peeps on it, ending with "new baby."
@galentine that Pam picture made me feel all the feels 😭😭
RIGHT?! The Office is the show my H and I have rewatched the most (even more than Parks and Recreation! 🙊) and he always jokes (accurately) that even if it's the millionth time I have seen the episode, I will never NOT cry at this scene. 😭
@galentine H and I watch the office all the time. If we want to watch tv and don’t want to look for something, we watch The Office. And I too always cry at that scene. And when Pam and Jim get engaged, married, find out their pregnant. Also when Michael proposes and his last day....
@emily1052, OMG yes to crying at all of those scenes. Especially the wedding day, "Plan A" kills me every time. 😭 Also this scene. Waterworks EVERY TIME.
That was a fun Office tangent, but back to regularly scheduled Announcement programming: we are telling the in-laws today! We are giving them this picture frame:
Here's hoping they are excited and don't ask too many inappropriate questions. I fully expect MIL's boundaries to disappear when we tell her, and wouldn't be at all surprised if she asked whether this pregnancy was planned 😂
Just announced to some of our family today! We had people over for my grandma’s birthday and asked everyone to take a photo together for her birthday. On the first take, my husband goes “Everyone say happy birthday!” Then the next one, he goes “Now everyone say L is pregnant!” The photos are absolutely priceless and captured everyone’s shock and excitement. Was awesome!!
@fit-mom2b Love it when people tell like this. I kind of want to be in a group photo one day when someone announces this way.
We told ALLLLLL the family this weekend. DH has a large family and his bro + SIL were in town unexpectedly from Brooklyn, so everyone was together. We had previously thought we'd wait to tell until 12 weeks, but it just sort felt right with his family since it meant we could tell everyone in person. Even though this is our third, his sister and SIL cried (happy tears) and DH got a loooong hug from his bro. (*TW) There are no secrets in this family, and everyone was privy to our previous loss--so I think they were just as relieved as we are that everything is ok this time. I had already planned to tell my parents at brunch on Sunday with my boys wearing "big bro" shirts. My mom got it right away when she saw the little one wearing his shirt. Dad took a few minutes to clue in. It felt special. I love that I have a different announcement story for each kid.
@junebabyh, it sounds like your announcements were so special!!
We also announced to in-laws this weekend. My BIL and SIL were very excited, just like we expected. MIL and FIL were very surprised. Apparently all our little white lies about kids being a long way off were more believable than we thought! My MIL was so excited and carried the ultrasound photo around the house with her room to room. It was so sweet. My favorite reaction was H's grandma. She's 95 and has alzheimers. Most days she doesn't remember us and doesn't talk much anymore. But by some miracle, she was having a rare good day. She knew exactly what was going on and was so happy to find out she had a great grandbaby on the way. She became very animated and talked about how wonderful and beautiful this adventure would be, and how having a baby shows you a kind of love you've never known before. It was so sweet and something I'll remember for a long time. ❤
We figured it was time to tell SO's sister since the longer time passed the more in danger we were of her finding out from somewhere else, which would be bad. She has a 7 year old girl and 3 year old boy and they live in AZ. Our DS loves to call them on the Alexa Show (video call), so we did the other day and had Auntie close her eyes. SO said DS had drawn some pictures for Auntie and when she opened her eyes DS was holding the US photos for her. The best part though was when we asked niece and nephew if they wanted a boy or girl cousin. Niece answered "boy, because I want to be the only pretty princess girl." Uh oh, hope we don't disappoint, lol.
Me: 41 / Fiance: 35 + One DS, one dog & two kitties...

@emily1052 I LOVE that. Super cute!
