  • @kindbytealikat @happycatftw @melanier26  @prpl11butterfly thanks ladies! Luckily the pharmacy gave me tamiflu in the pill form and I took it with some food but it still or maybe it was just the baby, made me nauseous and I kept vomiting last night.  I just kept my stomach empty after that and went to bed and I woke up feeling a little better this am.  The tamiflu made me a little nauseous when I took it today, but I keep eating soup frequently to try to keep something in my stomach.  This is horrible! I think it would be a lot easier to have the flu and not be pregnant.  At least DS and DH are feeling better today, but DS still has a temp so I’m planning on staying home from work tomorrow with him and getting some more rest.
  • Hi everyone! I’m wondering if anyone has made a month due date FB group yet?? I’d love to join if it exists.
  • That's a solid no to FB right now. Most BMBs move to a private group and then from there, once all the crazies have been weeded out, move to FB.

I mean, I'm sure a few of the ladies who've posted about starting one would be happy to let you join. But remeber stranger danger is real and there have been confirmed Bump catfish so proceed at your own risk 🤷‍♀️

I never understood the concept of coming to TB, only to ask about a FB group. you know you can just search FB for 'October 2019' and there's probably hundreds of groups out there already, if that's what you're looking for.
There’s actually not, they’re private unsearchable groups.

@katkins118 they are closed groups but you can request to join them. When you say they're "unsearchable" what exactly is it you're searching for?

  • Not sure if this is the place for this questions, but I can't seem to find the STM+ Check-in thread... anyway, has anyone ever given their kids gummies with melatonin for sleeping? Like for long flights, or if they are fighting sleep and really just need to pass out. If yes, what's your fave brand? I just heard about these over the weekend and I am totally intrigued. I think Zarbee's makes some.

Yes, zarbee’s. You can start at age 3. Our pediatrician said occasional use is fine at 1mg, but if it becomes a daily thing, further evaluation is warranted

  • We use Zarbees chewable tablets when our routine is thrown off. I try to use them for as few days as possible and not more then 5. I give it about 30min before bedtime.
  • We use Zarbees occasionally with our 4 year old.  There are times where we will find him up at like 10/11 after him laying down at 8. He tosses and turns and can’t get settled some nights.

  • @cooaladolly I had searched similar terms, oct 2019 due date, a month or so back, and only saw a few. I joined one but no one seemed active on it. Good to know there’s more :)
  • So I'm guessing this thread is for questions? Sorry I'm new to this whole thing. I'm 10 weeks 5 days pregnant. I know it's still early to gain any weight but instead I'm losing alot of weight still. Is this normal?? With my first pregnancy I gained so I'm not sure.
  • @xzenaDickson Are you nauseated and/or vomiting? That can cause a decrease in weight, especially in the first trimester. So long as you're eating, you should be okay, but I would check with your OB all the same.

  • For those of you who have had a cold have you come across anything that offers relief? I was up for a few hours in the middle of the night with DS/not feeling good and now woke up early. All I keep thinking of is Leslie Knope

Anyone experiencing sharp nipple pain? I've had random nipple pain that comes on all of a sudden and if I'm in a place where I can grab my boob, I do.. but at school? (I'm a teacher). I asked my sister who's a lactation consultant, but she didn't really recognize it. She talked about breast soreness in general --which I also have. It's like: BAM intense nipple pain for a few seconds, and then its gone.

    BTW, I'm at 11 weeks, 6 days.

Yep. It’s the letdown feeling. Don’t be surprised if you start leaking later in pregnancy

  • Hah. Why wouldn't my sister recognize that? My neice and nephew call it "detdown" and ask(ed) for that (instead of calling out "boobies!" Or something embarrassing in public) when they want(ed) to be fed.

Because not all women realize it can happen during pregnancy. I dunno 🤷🏼‍♀️ Not everyone gets that feeling, either

  • @cheznet letdown feels completely different to me so maybe that’s why your sister didn’t suggest it?

  • Met with my MFM today and he will be delivering me at 37 weeks.  Both of my other kids were solidly full term.  If you have had a 37-weeker, what do I need to know that would be different?  Will the baby just be sleepier?
  • @quidditchcapn1120 I had two of my babies born at 37 weeks and they were no different than my 41 week delivery. My DS was a 37 week delivery and he was probably more awake and larger than my 41 week delivery. I expected a difference but there really wasn’t one for my kids.
  • @quidditchcapn1120 Usually there is no difference between a 37 week and a full term baby. Sometimes they can have a little trouble breathing or be a little jaundice. Usually those are the two most common complications at that gestational age.
Anecdotal: I was just recently talking with my mom about when I was born. She had me via csection at 37 weeks. I was jaundice and had to stay a couple days under bili lights. Otherwise, I was just fine.

  • I'm not sure if this belongs here or in symptoms: has anyone else been feeling like they've done 100 sit ups? Like a tightness to the ab muscles?
  • @marbellie Yes!!  I keep stretching to try and make it go away (not sure if that will help or not).
  • @marbellie me too! Not this week but last I think, around 11 wks for me. I remember also having the same feeling around 8 or 9 wks. It was a little concerning at the time but all has checked out since so I've chalked it up to muscle soreness due to uterine growth spurts, lol.

  • @emily1052 @cooaladolly great to see that you guys had this too, it feels so strange.

Yeah, @emily1052 I stretch and massage my stomach but it doesn't really help lol
  • Thanks @alinic916 and @sweetteaandswingsmama!  I’m glad it won’t make a huge difference!
  • Suggestions for a formal dress, or even just where to get one? My mom won an award and I'm going to the banquet with her May 11th. I feel like I'm still going to be in that awkward bump phase. No clue what to wear! I didn't see much for formal dresses on Pinkblush that I liked.
  • @marbellie I had that early on. Haven't had it as much recently. Been having muscular pain right around my tail bone and in the center of my pelvis/groin area.

Anyone else having groin/pelvic pain and/or lower back pain that makes you waddle 😂🦆 I'll be 12W Sunday. So close to 2nd tri!

I bought some nice (cheap) maternity dresses on Amazon.

I buy almost all my maternity things from ASOS. Free returns and really great/affordable stuff!

I like to use rent the runway - you can rent really expensive dresses for a fraction of the price. Also a lot of women post pictures of themselves on the reviews so you can see what the dress looks like when worn by women that aren't necessarily models. I plan on using them for my babyshower perhaps!
