  • @mrstmoose if the post office wasn't literally a 3 minute drive from my house I would consider it. But I think to pick something up from the post office they need the person it's addressed to?

  • @MRDCle oh crap, you're right. Dammit.
  • @sheknows6 Thankfully I have no issues with receiving care (one of the many reasons I am happy my work offered this particular insurance) and I have explained it to both my reg doc and the specialists handling me. Both offices have been very accommodating it’s just a pain when I have to do anything else. Also I don’t have access to the patient portal which they advocate heavy use of, for good reason since it’s awesome.

Im waiting on getting DD and DH in to see docs for regular check ups till we can get access since it’s a million times easier that way.

  • That's annoying about your package, @MRDCle.  I wonder why they even tried to deliver in the snowstorm?  Our post office has similar ridiculous hours - what tiny town post office needs a two hour lunch?!  Without fail, it's always right when I'm headed to work that I think to stop, and then they're closed for lunch.

I finally got the eclair I've been craving for two weeks.  Totally worth the sugar headache.

  • :D@mrstmoose I had a huge anxiety wave last night realizing this baby could come at any time now, but will absolutely be here in 11 more weeks!

It's insane, but here we are! :)

  • Yeah, I saw that thread and was like, "Oh my God, did someone have their baby already?!"  And then the feeling of "oh shiitake, that could be me anytime in the next 10 weeks now."  :hushed:

    Queue panic mode .

  • @mrstmoose I had a freak out as well.

I’m most likely looking at induction at 39 weeks if she doesn’t show up on her own sooner. The very definite end date is freaking me (but not DH) out.

  • The app AND mobile internet both won’t let me love tit this morning. So annoying. @mighty_montgomery I’m not crazy familiar with dogs since I’m allergic, but I agree with everyone else. Your house, your rules.

I’m actually going to go ahead and start a thread about going private and the eventual FB transition. No pressure, we obviously aren’t moving tomorrow or anything, haha. Just to gauge where we are all at opinion wise.
Ok, it may be from my lack of sleep.......but are you saying you can't love "tit?" Is that an acronym or are we talking about boobs lol.
  • @rennie1108 that's what the "love it" is usually called on TB. At least it has been called a love tit ever since I joined back in 2015.
  • @thatbaintforbetty Insurance is the absolute worst. I'm sorry you have to deal with all this crap, especially right now!

@thatbaintforbetty also said it, I figured I was missing something.
  • And I don't know why you can't see the beginning of my last comment. I give up today. I just need some f'n sleep.
  •  @mrdcle you and the other twin mamas are exactly why I went ahead and posted that, we're gonna have announcements sooner than we think! Sorry for freaking everyone out though :#

As far as I remember they’ve been “love tits” since the feature appeared. I think it came from the frequency with which the typo happened combined with the all the boob talk that happens round here.

  • I was so confused when in my first BMB when I read love tit but like, I joined late so I was always afraid to ask, ha! @sheknows6 I appreciate you! It's freaking me out but at the same time it's kind of amazing that we're getting so close! Nice job getting through to third tri everyone!

  • I remember the first time I saw “love tit” I assumed it was derived from some old English word or something, or related to “pip” like the pips on a domino. Clearly I was overthinking it. Lol.

Not all all of us are third tri yet! But it’s crazy that those of us due at the end of the month are so close.
  • The weather is finally nice again over here so I decided to go for a walk. Nothing quite like have horrible Braxton Hicks contractions halfway down the block. I’m so over with this pregnancy. I just want some Dairy Queen and a damn nap.
  • @lilpotatomama are all three carts yours?

This is a legit question. I need to know.
  • @lilpotatomama omg that looks like a lot of ikea furniture to put together. I’m praying for you  :D I love that place but I give up assembling my purchases after 5 minutes of fighting with DH about it
  • @lyse01 I’m almost ashamed to admit that yes..... they were. They’re practically empty in that picture but they were LOADED with stuff. To be fair, one entire cart was bedding including pillows, so it was a bit lumpy.

@harveyisaboysname I made this trip with my mom and aunt instead of DH, so since I had to suffer through it, he’s going to have to put it all together. I refuse.
  • @harveyisaboysname I am incredibly it as well. I want to walk - for myself, for my crazy damn dog - but I still get a lower left side pain in my abdomen. No clue what it is and it's so frustrating. So I feel fat and out of shape and that just makes me want dessert even more.
  • I've still never been to Ikea. Someday. Someday.

@rennie1108 I miss taking walks so much. Is it maybe RLP you're having?

  • I can't tell! It feels like it's something more interior, if that makes sense. Most of the time I think it's constipation (like I have a kink or something), but then even when I have success in that department, it's still bothering me. It's so frustrating.
  • @MRDCle - I feel you on the IUGR. With DD i went into my 38 week appt and then they induced me bc of IUGR. She was totally fine but I am tiny so I make tiny babies. This time we have already talked about it. LO measured small on the last ultrasound so now I have a growth ultrasound next week. Its funny bc at first I was excited with the idea that with a RCS I would get to pick my date but with IUGR I will probably end up getting like 1 day notice.

I LOVE IKEA. When DH and I bought our newest house we had 7 carts!!! We had to fill one up and then put it aside and then go for the next lol. We had them deliver. DH and I are IKEA experts and love putting the furniture together. We did a dresser 2 weeks ago in less than an hour with no arguements. (I also used to work there in college)

I don’t want DH to come near me while I’m assembling ikea furniture (or anything similar that comes in a flat pack). He’s handy but he doesn’t understand the picture instructions and just messes everything up by handing me the wrong piece or assembling out of order. I want him to take DD and disappear for half an hour so I can build in peace.

DH somehow still believes I don’t have an aptitude for home improvement.

ETA: I am also better at assembling and disassembling locks. And DD took a 15 min nap today and I’m so ready for her to crash.
  • @MRDCle damn it. I just ordered a spectra. My old pump was a madela and I didn't love it, so I figured I'd go ahead and switch brands. But I wish I'd realized there was a new madela... oh well.

Btw, for those of you who haven't ordered your breast pump, get in touch with your insurance ASAP and ask them questions about it!! My insurance will only pay for a breast pump if I order it BEFORE the baby is born. Stupidest requirement ever, but I'm sure it saves them money by allowing them to deny lots of new moms.
  • Ohhh the place I tried to order my pump from won't ship to texas. I get to try again. So what's this new madela pump @MRDCle ??

@mighty_montgomery I once had a roommate with a dog who acted like that...and would also just not come home from her one night stand until the afternoon, text no one to take the pup out, leave us to deal with her college friend who showed up on the doorstep in the morning...long story short, I blew up at her frequently for being irresponsible, and vice versa for me treating her like a child. It was a good thing the lease ran out soon after. I’m sorry your DH can’t impress upon his brother the seriousness of the situation.

Also, drive by frequency has me thinking it might be time to start going private.
I am just now noticing (since I'm catching up from being off the board for a few days) that there have been quite a few one-off posts lately! So strange that it's happening now.
  • @lilpotatomama now I want soft serve cone. ☹️ One of my favorite things about IKEA is the $1 soft serve cone. I think it makes the masses of people easier, lol.

  • @thatbaintforbetty I had a meatball plate with extra meatballs in the cafe, and a soft serve cone on the way out!
  • @professormama it’s called the Sonata. It connects to an app to track everything, has a battery pack, light, handle, I believe it’s closed system, and they claim it’s the strength of the Symphony and quieter than the PISA. The insurance upgrade for me would be like $200 but I’m a pump collector at this point and I’m sooo tempted.

  • @MRDCle I can't figure out if mine covers it at all right now. Ugh. Insurance is suuuuch a pain in the ass, they make everything so damn hard. You can't order it through them, you can't just buy it through amazon, etc. etc.
