We found out we are having a girl! I am thrilled but also kinda sad about not having a boy. I kinda think either way I would be a little sad because this is the last baby. So if I didn't have a girl I would never have a living daughter but now that I know it's a girl I will never have another boy. And I do love having a boy. Feelings after a loss especially are so complicated.
@sparklingdiamond I think we all feel a little guilt for wanting one sex over another, when all we really want is a healthy baby. But I’m happy you’re getting your girl! Girls are awesome (-ly sassy 🙄)
Ultrasound went well! LO had a strong HB. NIPT results came back low risk. I feel like I can finally start to dream of my June baby without so much fear.
I just wish good news would have come for everyone today I'm thinking about all of you who aren't with us anymore and missing you all.

@sparklingdiamond so glad you are having a little girl!!! I remember packing up the kids baby clothes and sorting them by boy/girl and knowing I will get to use one of the bins of clothes again and not the other and it was tough, I am excited either way but I think you know what I mean
So thankful and happy for your great news @eleven_!
@eleven_ I’m so glad that you are starting to feel hopeful and that your NIPT was low risk. I agree about missing the ones who have left. I’m so sad for @ruby696 . I was hoping that the force of all our combined hopes would bring happy news.
Sigh. I know I'm jumping in a bit late. At the beginning of this pregnancy, the PGAL thing wasn't bothering me, so I was attempting to just move forward with this pregnancy without that fear hanging over me, but it is not working. I have been getting really freaked out and scared about not getting to hold this baby either, so here I am. Sorry for jumping in so late on this one.
1. How many weeks are you? 9 weeks
2. Previous loss(es)? Early miscarriage at 5 weeks in January 2015
3. How are you feeling? Emotionally and physically? Like crap. Physically I feel awful, and I can't clean or cook or do laundry or anything. That's just fueling my emotional awfulness. I'm pretty depressed at this point and really not sure how to pull myself out of it until I start to feel better with the MS and exhaustion. Plus, I was feeling very confident that this pregnancy would be ok and that everything would go smoothly, but in the last week that has slipped away into full-on daily panic that I've already lost this baby and just won't know about it for weeks. Not that I have any reason in this world to think I've had a miscarriage, because I don't. It's just a mental thing. When I got pregnant with my son in October 2017, I spent just about the entire pregnancy convinced I wouldn't actually get to have my baby. Carrying him to term with relatively little complication gave me confidence that I could carry this baby as well, but for whatever reason that has just completely eroded now and I'm back at square one.
4. Any appointment updates? I still haven't scheduled anything outside of getting my elective ultrasound for a host of reasons, namely that our income, who is getting a second job and insurance are all completley up in the air. I'm hoping that settles out in a week or two over here. It's a long story, but the basic problem is that I can't o my previous job anymore and I'm too sick to do anything else atm. DH's current job does not pay enough for us to cover our bills, and the insurance was entirely too expensive to take for the last year under his job.
5. Rants/Raves/Questions? Nothing particular, just trying to get through this first part. I am hoping that feeling baby kicks gives me the same reassurance it did with DS, but I have to get there first.
6. Any milestones coming up? 12 weeks, I suppose, but I won't really feel better until I hear that heartbeat again. I keep thinking about getting a doppler, but I know if I can't find the heartbeat I will lose it and I am horribly inept at medical anything.
7. GTKY: what was your favorite subject in school (highschool/college)? Art classes

So sad about the bad news posts. I feel so selfish, but I still have a hard time hearing the loss stories, especially from PGAL (or the terrifying "the baby was fine then two hours later I miscarried for no reason!"). I had to take like a week-long hiatus after the last PGAL losses because I just needed not to be bummed out/terrified. I feel like a fair-weather PGAL friend, hoping I can stick it out this time.
I am so sad about the sad news as well. I keep hoping we are past the point where bad news happens but I know there is no specific point where it just stops. Does anyone have appts today?
I wasn’t able to post right away yesterday after my appointment, and then felt too sad when I saw the news from members of our group. As a quick update, my NT scan went well (I added a pic in the U/S board just now). Sending lots of love and strength to everyone going through a loss or uncertainty right now.
I know she isn't in our BMB, but @coco2787 from TTGP has her 6 week US today. It's in about an hour. I'm trying to convince her to just join June with us because July PGAL is a little slow.

Keep me in your thoughts today. My pelvic pressure has really increased and I’m now having horrible back pain and cramps. I’m having a cervical ultrasound this afternoon. One of the risks with a bicornuate uterus, a D&C, and cervical trauma from my last delivery is cervical incompetence and I’m terrified thats what it is. I guess worst case scenario I can get a cerclage.
So I've had a couple of headaches this week and a couple of instances of feeling dizzy. It's mostly when I stand too long and am too hot. But I'm debating on if I should call my OB or not. Ive never had BP issues and don't want to overreact or anything.
@sparklingdiamond how far a long are you? According to the bump app they sent me an email saying that at the end of first tri and beginning of second tri that headaches and dizziness are normal due to the changing hormones from the placenta taking over. Clearly that is info from the bump and not a medical professional.
@sparklingdiamond I asked my dr about it Monday as I’m also having dizziness and headaches. My blood pressure was fine and she said in first/second tri a major cause of dizziness is lack of nutrients. She recommended me upping my water intake (which is hard with nausea) and eating 5-6 small meals a day so I’m trying that for now. im not saying you shouldn’t call or get your BP checked bc that could also be the cause, just adding my 2 cents 😁
Thanks guys! I am 11w3d. I figured it was somewhat normal, but sent them a message through my portal anyways. I figured I would rather be safe than sorry.
Ive been having some dizziness and headaches and I’ve even okay with BP as per the few time I’ve checked it like at the grocery store. Not a doctor, jus to my two cents that it’s normal. Also, once I did have BP issues, I didn’t have symptoms. @coco2787 Come join us! I’m technically a July Mom (July 2nd by LMP) but that July board be crazy town.

Aw thanks for the love ladies, it seriously means a lot. I’ve been lurking over here a lot because so many ladies from TTGP/TTCAL ended up here and July has been kind of lonely. If it’s cool with you guys, I would love it if you let me hang out with you all in the PGAL thread
Quick background on me: I have a 5 year old son, started TTC #2 September of 2017 and have had 4 losses since then. First was a MMC 12/17 discovered at 9w followed by CPs in Feb and March of 2018. Then another MMC in June that was discovered at my NT scan. Currently am 6w4d so it’s unlikely I’d end up with a June baby, but I really need some PGAL support. There’s really not much going on in July and you all have been incredibly supportive of each other. I hope you’ll have me

So happy you are here @coco2787, I will have a May baby almost undoubtedly given my history and it being my 4th c-section. But these girls are my safe place, I know how much that means
And its ancedotal obviously but re:blood pressure, when mine got out of control I never noticed headaches or whatnot, sometimes I would go into an appointment thinking I felt great and have terrible BP and other times I’d feel terrible and it was decent. When it got scary high my only two symptoms were ringing/pulse in my ears and feeling off - not sick but like I knew I didn’t feel right. I have a blood pressure cuff that bought me a lot of sanity, plus it was helpful to my doctor giving her a log of my BP. My Walmart one was surprisely accurate and reliable. I had pre-e twice and HELLP, never a headache or upper abdominal pain on my right side.
Forgot the important part- ultrasound went well, measuring exactly on track and the HB was 128 I go back in a week for a follow up u/s, I found a great OB who is letting me do weekly scans until I’m out of 1st tri.

I asked for a peace of mind ultrasound due to all the low back pain I've been experiencing lately and a leveling off of symptoms. I had a MMC earlier this year. It was my first pregnancy. This is my second. Hoping that things are still going ok in there. Ultrasound is tomorrow. I ordered a Doppler too for home. Waiting for it to arrive.

Just got finished. My cervix was 3.3 cm which they said was great because my ultrasound in early October showed it being 3.1 cm. She said they only start to get really concerned once it goes to 2.5 and below so for now I’m in the clear! Thanks for thinking of me ladies.
