My daughter got her report card back. Straight a's! I'm really impressed. she managed that while even being in AP English. She even got an A in math. Really proud. I could never get an A in math in middle school.

Ds1 has suggested the name TIE Fighter if baby is a boy and nothing for a girl because he wants another brother lol. He is so excited too and it is very sweet.
@lovelybabybumpz My best friend had an ultrasound tech tell her that her first looked like a girl at 12/13 weeks and she'd be shocked if it wasn't...she was right! I don't know how she knew!
Some of your older children have way better name choices than my DD1. Right now the baby in question to her is hypothetical (we don't want to tell her until after my 12 week scan). She says she only wants another sister and she's going to name it Boot. I don't even know where that comes from. She refuses to give me a boy name because she's adamant that she doesn't want a brother. Soooooo there's that?
With a lot of people talking about what your kids are wanting to name the baby, I decided to try asking DS if he thought the baby was a girl baby or boy baby. He usually just says noooo. However today, he has been saying girl baby in the cutest little voice. “They” say kids know. In all seriousness though, I need to quit assuming for various reasons this is a girl, or I’ll really be questioning my intuition. 😂
@megsb615 mine totally knew I was pregnant. He told me for a week. Now he's been insisting he's having a brother and a sister 😂 unless we've got a hidden twin, he's wrong on that front. Oh well, can't win em all lol
@ibanezstarburst wow. They are so childish. I’m sorry you have to deal with that and I hope they suck it up.
@megsb615 I’ve always heard of elective ultrasounds being done 15 weeks or later because it’s hard to tell 🤷♀️
Is the Netflix Haunting Hill show very scary?i can’t watch things that are super creepy and stay with you (like The Ring for me) but can watch Stranger Things...it made me jump but I wasn’t scared of the monsters and stuff if that makes sense. Because obviously little girls coming out of movie screens to kill you is more likely than a monster 🙄 k I’m scaring myself just talking about it.
I worked out this morning, had therapy which was surprisingly really helpful today, made dinner, and now I’m in bed because nausea made me take unisom and unisom makes me le tired.
@DuchessOfCambridge it can be pretty creepy. I had a few jump moments. But @psychobutthead recommended it and I was not disappointed. The story line is awesome, they way they carried it out was just... Phenomenal. I can't even say enough great things about it. If you can get past the creepy parts.
@eatinwatermelonseeds I just don’t want to be scared forever after. That’s my main issue, it stays with me and I get so scared to like, live. This is why I tend to stay away from horror 😬 but now I’m so curious about the storyline. Maybe I’ll Wikipedia the plot 😂
@DuchessOfCambridge Ok that’s what I was thinking. I thought things had changed since I had DS or something 😂 I’m curious about the scary Netflix show too, but I know I’m way too chicken to watch it. I haven’t even watched Stranger Things because I’m sure even that would give me the creeps. It doesn’t take much to scare me though. Haha
@DuchessOfCambridge not going to lie, I had to watch gender reveal videos and happy shit before going to sleep and it still haunted me a bit. I don't know how you are, but I feel like it ended in such a way that all the creepy is kind of gone and I'm left happy with the whole thing.
@eatinwatermelonseeds if the ending is like that maybe I can watch it! Usually if there is a resolution at the end I am okay.
@megsb615 with Stranger Things, I just didn’t find the monster creatures they showed very scary. I’m more scared of creepy human things than of monsters. It did still make me jump though!
@DuchessOfCambridge there is no cliff hanger, which helped me a lot. But each episode is an hour long, so it'll take you 10 hours to reach a resolution 😂
@DuchessOfCambridge I have found that every episode has a little bit of creepy stuff in it, but as long as I finish the episode, there's enough conclusion in each show to not stick with me in a frightening way.

@megsb615 apparently it’s easier to be sure it’s a girl than a boy early on. I don’t totally get it but the way the labia present is really clear whereas with a boy the penis could also be the umbilical cord depending on the angle.
At our NT scan for my last pregnancy, blood work had already told us there was at least one boy but there’s no way to tell with twins whether it’s two boys or a boy and a girl from blood work (it just tests for the presence of a Y chromosome). Our ultrasound tech was positive that one of them was a boy and showed us, but said she couldn’t see the other well enough. She also said it’s clear a lot of the time that early but they get in trouble and aren’t supposed to say what they see that early in case they’re wrong. They like when bloodwork has already said bc they can hone their skills.
@DuchessOfCambridge I'm with you on the horror stuff, I can't watch it. Stranger Things was different. Also, your work out + therapy + make dinner + go to bed day honestly sounds like the most perfect productive day ever lol.
@bluesky24 thank you (and everyone else who has wished me luck if I haven't already thanked you). It's not until 2 this afternoon and I have a longish drive to get there. I'm glad I'm not taking it super early because my nausea is no joke in the morning, but I'm so nervous I don't think it's going to be any better by 2.
I am a big ball of anxiety. I have this huge nagging feeling to get my oil changed before my drive, so now I have to clean out my car (because it's embarrassing and nobody can see it like this) and then get my oil changed. I've put my husband in charge of picking up our kid from therapy, but he's notorious for oversleeping and decided not to go to class today so he can sleep in (WHY TODAY) and so I'm freaking out that he will be late to pick up our kid and I won't be able to because I have a long drive and want to get there early. And then he is taking our son to the beach with his (DH) class and I'm afraid of how that's going to go. And then you know there's this whole career making test I have to take at 2, I'm literally on the verge of crying.
@eatinwatermelonseeds can you explain to him that you are just feeling overwhelmed today and it would really help if he could text you to let you know everything is going good. Like, text you when he leaves to pick up your son so that you have the peace of mind. If the beach excursion is during your exam then that's no good, but he could still shoot you a text to say its going well so you can see that when you get out.
@eatinwatermelonseeds you've got this. I know it's hard when there is so much that's out of your control, but do your best to stay focused. You will kick it, I know!

@eatinwatermelonseeds hang in there today. Good luck on your test! (My car is the exact same way. I just don't have time for it lol!) How long is your drive today?
@mcewen3 unfortunately he's sleeping and basically dead to the world. Getting anything through to him is really difficult. I told him to set his alarm, he said "I did!" I checked his phone, nothing. I asked him to give me his password (I have it, i just can't remember it) and he said he'd do it. I WATCHED HIM on his phone and felt okay. Then I got this crazy feeling to check again as I was leaving and his phone said the next alarm is tomorrow at 6:30. I said "hey, I thought you set your alarm?" "I did!" He gave me his password, he set his alarm for 9:30 like he said, but he set it for THURSDAY 🤦😂 any other time he's great, but when it comes to sleep he's hopeless.
Thank you everyone. I know I'm being so dramatic today, I'm just so stressed out. I know when I'm done I'm going to realize how silly this all was, but I can't help it.
@missy052819 it's about an hour and a half away. I do need to check traffic and the exact address, but the city is that far away. I have no idea why, but since yesterday I've felt very strongly if I don't get my oil changed first, something bad will happen lol. So, I gotta get it done so I can at least relax about that 😂
@eatinwatermelonseeds@mcewen3 I am so bad with putting oil in my car. I could tell I needed some oil the other day because it makes a special little noise when it's thirsty.
I'm in the nap room at the preschool and I've spent the better part of an hour shushing them and telling them to lie down and nap but there's about a handful of them that *just won't*. Do they not realize how GOOD they have it???? There are few things I wouldn't do right now to be able to nap and it's handed to them daily on a silver platter. I will nap *for* them 😴😴😴
@k2k2tog such a fear of mine... when I was pregnant with ds1 we had a case in my class. My doctor tested me and I came up negative, but I also came up as not having immunity to it. I’m also not immune to rubella despite being vaccinated against as a child and an adult. So hard when you work in a school because it’s hard to avoid the germs. Wash your hands a lot! Hope it is just an isolated case.
