I go home for my lunch break just about every day. Today I had a little burst of energy so I threw chicken in the crockpot and cut/washed lettuce to make salads for a quick dinner. Someone got into an accident and caused a town wide power surge. We have power back but the crockpot won't restart itself. Now I have to throw out the chicken (co worker said to just restart it when I get home, reminded her that in my current state that's a bad idea....) AND figure out dinner all over again. I'm so tired 😭😭
@dntstpbelieveing, that is seriously amazing. My oldest would flip over this!

@runyogamom he was very excited. He keeps walking in and saying wow. He fell asleep right away last night but was up walking around at 345 this morning so we need to work on staying in bed .
DH has all 3 car seats in his truck and had to leave early this morning for a meeting. I got a call about 15 minutes before I am walking out the door to go to preschool, obviously we can’t drive with no car seats for the kids (the one year old especially) and we have no back-ups. While I hate my daughter missing school, that is two hours of driving I don’t have to do today. I am not even annoyed. It’s only 29 degrees now, we are going to be lazy and warm this morning.
@dntstpbelieveing That is amazing! Hope the transition goes smoothly. I'm so scared to transition from the crib but really need to (pretty sure he could climb out if he tried).
Today we check out a daycare/preschool. It is considerably less expensive than other options, let's hope that doesn't mean not good.
@dntstpbelieveing that is my biggest fear of transitioning from crib to bed. Him having the ability to get out whenever he wants. DS sleeps in a sleepsack in his crib so he's never tried to climb out. I'll keep him in there until he's 10 if I can
I was worried before we transitioned my son. He had started climbing out of the crib even with a sleepsack on and a brace for hip dysplasia. Very determined. It took a little bit but he is mostly back to sleeping normally. Nap is still a steuggle sometimes, but it's gotten better.
DS transitioned pretty well. He still makes 1 of us go get him out of his bed (if he even sleeps through the night that is...)
So strange thing happened. DH has a robot vacuum thing. It runs daily while we are at work. I come home for lunch and need to pee so go into the bathroom. I see a blue paper on the floor. Figure its Neices and the vacuum drug it out from somewhere. I pick it up and it's this.....
Its obviously from when I was preg with DS but where in the h#%% did it come from? I can't figure out how it's been hanging around accessible to the vacuum all this time but not where we would have seen it. And what does it mean?!
@prpl11butterfly That's really odd! Maybe it's something a good sign?
The day I found out I was for sure pregnant I received a note from the hospital where I delivered my TW*** still born daughter. End TW***** I don't know why it came on that exact day because I haven't heard from them since that day. But I took it as a sign from my daughter.
Here's a question for those of you who are runners - is anyone else having a hard time getting through that first mile? I'm feel like I'm so much slower and my breathing is actually embarrassing for the first mile. Hoping I'm not alone and that maybe it will get better??
@ruby696 since turning a pregnancy test I have slowed down a lot. It doesn't really get better, you have more blood flow in your body so it is working harder. Last pregnancy I ran until 36 weeks. But I slowed down so much. I think I could have walked faster.
Listen to your body, slow down. I don't follow the HR 140 limit, but rather the talking test.
@amaren-2 You're right, I'm going to have to work at slowing down. I've already slowed to an 11 minute mile, which I hate because it feels like I'm not pushing myself. But my heart rate is still really high and I would fail the talk test. I'll see where I'm at with a 12 minute mile.
Did you find you were able to pick it up again within a few months of giving birth?
@TJtheGoat and @wearyfuzzball Do either of you have personal trainers? I haven't told mine that I'm pregnant yet. I was going to wait until I'm about 8 weeks. But yesterday's workout was pretty tough, so I'm thinking maybe I should say something. My heart rate stayed under 132, so I felt like I was fine to continue...
@ruby696 I do have a personal trainer and she is one of the three people that currently knows I'm pregnant. Working out is super important to me so I wanted to make sure I could continue going every day and workout safely. I'm really glad I told her because she makes sure to give me appropriate modifications for every single workout. And she wont look at me crazy when I have to take a break mid workout lol
ETA: FWIW I try to keep my heart rate at 160 or below which seems to work perfectly with the being able to keep a conversation as well. She will actually come ask me questions mid workout to test that theory as well.
So before I did our treatment cycle, I had done the Beachbody LIIFT and was in week 5. Then I had to stop doing it because my RE said no intense exercise close to/after ovulation. So then I stopped and have been doing nothing sense. But I want to start something up again, just don't know what's safe since I haven't done anything in like a month.
@ruby696 I don't have a trainer (partly because I’m cheap and partly because I work with a bunch of people who train on the side), but I would definitely let my trainer know so they can modify as needed and not push you too hard. Or just keep coming up with excuses for why you’re taking it easier if you’re not comfortable telling them yet.
I workout during my pregnancies. I used to be a runner but I can't do that anymore because my hips and knees hurt afterwards.
I highly recommend swimming during pregnancy. It is amazing. Especially in the 3rd trimester. Low impact and all the weight is alleviated while you're in the pool. Plus, it's amazing cardio.
I ran and did bar method religiously with my last pregnancy. I hope to be able to do the same this time. One thing that’s weird is I’m OK running but going to get a coffee makes me pant. And sweat like a pig. It’s charming
@ruby696 to be honest, I’m not really a runner. I just do it because it’s free, I can be outdoors and all I need is a sports bra and shoes which works with my work travel. I honestly just listened to my body. I’d say I really didn’t run once I got bulky. I would mostly walk. Bar Method I did until I had contractions in class. I kept the intensity up with that one.
Kudos to all those excercising! I must admit I was an avid gym-goer before having DS and completely fell off that wagon once he was born. Haven’t managed to get back on 2 years later Hopefully after this one is born. It’s not a weight thing for me, but a fit thing. Hope that makes sense...
