Well, now that i know that hitting "dismiss" just erases the thread from my personal bump, I guess I can do that! But I'm such a llama and I dont wan't to miss anything

@emeraldcity603 Thanks! My brain so isn't working today. I kept looking for the word "organization" in one of the posts and wasn't even paying attention to the pinned posts.
Ugh, work sucked today! And then I was hoping the one off post thing would’ve died off but I guess it was resurrected by another AW
I think it might have been meatballs who posted on the org thread that we should prob ignore them on there so it doesn’t get shut down. Or I guess if it does we can always start a new one, add some more “rules” just for fun 😂 I was super salty yesterday so I couldn’t resist but I’ve calmed down today and will now be ignoring and nicely redirecting any new one off posts.
There was just a huge crash upstairs and then crying. I literally spun out on the hardwood floor trying to get upstairs to my daughter. She just chucked a book and got mad at herself. She might have shaved a year off my life. Man
DH and DS1 are Home sick. At least the baby has a doctors appointment so I can get out of the house and away from the complaining. Maybe I’ll prolong my time away by taking the baby to target after.
DD2 was up all night whimpering. I couldn't get her temp to go down either. She feels cooler this morning though. I plan to take her in today. I'm ready for him to tell me its HFM. This is how she was last time she had it. DH thinks it's RSV instead. I hope we are both wrong.
I just got to my 10a meeting which was about a 45 minute drive from home. All I want to do is sleep or just turn around a go home. It’s only an hour and my only client facing work I have to do today. Time to suck it up.
The exhaustion is real. I feel asleep sitting up on a call yesterday at 12p. Way too early for that. At least I was at my home office and not in HQ
best of luck to everyone with sick babies. Poor things
Aww the sick babies. That's rough. hope they start to feel better soon. It's so sad when littles are sick and they don't understand it.
My DH had a sore throat this morning. Which I give him credit for not doing his usual complaining about it but just mentioning it instead. However, I am kind of dreading this evening because when he is sick he can't do anything. And he's been doing everything at home lately while I handle this m/s. So, tonight should be interesting...
Omg. Daycare called (cue that dreaded feeling when you see that call coming in) to tell me a funny story. DS told her he has a cradle for his baby sister. She asked him if I was having a baby. He said "no, I am because I want a baby sister". I mean, I want this baby to be a boy but I don't think he'll ever forgive me if he doesn't get a baby sister like all the other daycare kids....
My DS has spasmodic croup and was up all night. It's the scariest thing to deal. I'm always so close to taking him to the ER, but it always stops after we sit outside in the cold for a bit. I wanted to call in to work so bad today, but I'm so worried about using all my PTO. Here's to a long day

@eleven_@prpl11butterfly Awww poor things. Croup is super scary sounding, but for us it was relatively short lived, at least. The cold air trick worked like a charm for us. Unfortunately, his inhaler didn't help at all. But... I will take croup over RSV, at least! I hope they start to turn a corner very soon!

@prpl11butterfly, that story made my heart melt. I can’t wait to tell my oldest about this baby. I’ve mentioned before that we’re not telling him yet because he can’t keep a secret, but he’s SO excited about my sister’s baby due in two weeks. It just is the most adorable thing to have him point at her belly and say “Baby I make Aunt L so happy! Baby I is in Aunt L’s belly. Mommy, I was in your belly!” I can’t wait till I get to explain that he’s getting a new sibling - he was too young to understand it with the twins. Also, I love that your daycare calls to tell you about good things, too, not just for bad things.

@shamrocandroll I actually took him to the pediatrician and was hoping to get an inhaler. I was so bummed when they said it won't help. How long did your DS have to deal with it? This is the third year for us.

@eleven_ I would say it was only really bad for 2 or 3 days. After that, he had a cough, but it was much less barky and it went away a lot faster than it does when he has other viruses.

Add me to the list of sick kids. DD was up 3 or 4 times last night coughing and sneezing. I’m hoping it’s just cold or allergies and goes away quickly. Pair that with my nightmare that kept me up 2 hours and I’m ready for a nap!
@eleven_ I'm sorry you had such a rough night. It's so scary when little ones get so sick and it always happens late at night, which makes it even scarier.
@prpl11butterfly That is so cute! He'll be so excited either way I hope he feels better soon.
@eleven_ Croup is the scariest thing to hear. My eldest has it several times a year until he was about 5. He was hospitalized a couple of times; I have never seen the ER triage someone as quickly as a child who can't breathe. I hope your little guy is feeling better soon and that you both get some sleep tonight. ETA: eventually they prescribed us steroids for us to give him at home so that we could avoid a trip to the ER.
@shamrocandroll that's so sweet! I know DS is going to be thrilled. TW*** Loss *** Last time he was constantly kissing my belly and rubbing it. It was really heartbreaking to tell him we didnt get to keep that baby.I oddly think he could keep it a secret but I also am not ready for neice to know because while shes old enough to understand why it's a secret, she intentionally makes comments in front of people so they are left wondering. And she did blatantly disrespect me and told her mother and her teacher after being told to tell no one because it was my body and my decision when to tell.
@eleven_ our croup bouts last a few days but happen 4 to 5 times a year. If he gets a cold, it become croup every.single.time. It's so hard that there is nothing to be done.
I am so apathetic about pretty much everything right now, especially work. I just want to put a big sign in my office that says "don't care". Or zero FLTG....
I'm in a mood where being pregnant is all I want to do...too bad that isn't considered a full time paying job!
@shamrocandroll Oh I thought you meant he had spasmodic croup. DS is never sick when it happens. It just comes on really suddenly and it happens all winter long. Last winter it probably happened over thirty times and we ended up having to give him steroids
@nmbrcrnchr1 Ugh, your LO too? I'm sorry! And I'm so sorry you had nightmares too. What an awful night!

@bakerstreetboys It's so scary, huh? I'm sorry you ended having to take your DS into the ER. I'm seriously always so close to going. One time we were at a cabin in the middle of nowhere when it happened and I seriously almost called life flight. And as for your other comment, I'm the same way with everything in my life right now! I haven't been putting much effort into anything at the moment. I actually should be working right now

DD2 doesn't have HFM or RSV, thank goodness. She just has a really bad cold. We have been snuggling most of the day. When we aren't snuggling, she just follows me around whimpering. It's so sad.
I'm so excited about tomorrow. I get my first US at 1 and then see my OB. I'm going to go ahead and start talking about leaving the hospital shortly after the birth. I talked it over with the pedi. He is on board as long as we can get in to the office within 24 hours.
I finally thought McDonalds sounded good but now I'm regretting it because I'm way too full.
DS is in soccer this year and I think we somehow missed picture day, which annoys me. No one told me when it was and the coach is the one that reserves the time slots.
