As part of the PGAL group, I was hesitant to follow this thread, even though I wanted to offer support. Spotting is triggering for me for obvious reasons, and today it started. One day after I got the positive betas from my fertility clinic after our second round of IVF. There could be many reasons for it, but I'm of course nervous and a bit of a wreck. I'm going back in tomorrow for another blood test.
@bakerstreetboys My heart dropped when I saw this. I'm so sorry - it's just never easy, is it? Please let us know how your blood test looks. I'll be thinking of you.
Thanks ladies. I wish no one had to deal with the extra stress. I got blood done again this morning, so now I just have to wait until this afternoon for the call with betas.
My betas came back at a good number, but it isn't really comforting me at this point. They ended up bringing me back in for an u/s, but of course it's too early to really see anything. There's a gestational sac that "could" be a pregnancy, but we don't know yet. I'm going back in next Tuesday. Better than nothing at this point
@bakerstreetboys hoping the news continues to come back good. It is the WORST when you just have to sit and wait and hope; I pray it goes quickly for you.
@meatballs37 SO glad it came back ok! TMI, maybe, but in college I had an ovarian cyst that caused me to spot dark brown for 34 days straight before finally stopping. No idea if your bleeding could be related to that, but at least the anecdata says it'll clear itself up and turn out ok.
Didn’t want to post this in PGAL, especially since it triggers so many of us.
But I started spotting bright red today. And I’ve had brown spotting for the past couple days. Left a message with my OB..hopefully she gets back to me soon. Should be 9 weeks today. And if I’m being completely honest with myself, symptoms have been pretty mild.
@srscott3, I’m so sorry you have to deal with. Spotting is so, so scary - I’m holding out hope that it’s nothing and that everything is fine. Thinking of you.

@srscott3 fingers crossed it's nothing. Symptoms wise, you may be turning a corner - 9 weeks is when the placenta takes over and it's possible that symptoms will get milder.
Re: Spotting Support Group (*TW*)
